Titleist NXT tour golf balls

...Having taken up golf in the last year i've lost (and found) alot of golf balls on the local fairways as you might expect, most of these balls are then hit and lost again for someone else to find and so the cycle continues. That was at least until i slowly showed signs of improvement and treated myself to a sleeve (pack of 3) of Titleist NXT tour golf balls from my local pro shop for £4.99, i must admit i wasnt keen to part with almost a fiver for 3 golf balls but you know the way it is... better equipment will make me a better player right? well funnily enough it may have helped a little. So what is so special about the NXT tour series of ball? Well, firstly its round (which helps) so nothing special there then, its when you first tee one up and hit it - that's when you know you've just hit a great ball, when you manage to tee...

Titleist Pro V1 - the best ball yet

Advantages: great feel and distance
Disadvantages: cost

...I have been playing golf for 15 years and always play with a Titleist ball. It's something of a habit, but the ball suits my game. In cold wet conditions I'll play with the pts wound ball, and in dry summer conditions the professional balata. That was until I tried the newest product from Titleist, the pro V1. It is the tour professionals choice of ball combining both distance and feel.It is longer off the tee than the balata ball but gets enormous spin around the green. I'm not sure how Titleist have done it, but I was amazed at the extra length I got off the tee and the control and spin I got around the green. Putting with it is a dream, the ball doesn't fly off the putter like the wound ball. At the moment the cost of the ball will put off all but the most accomplished golfer, at £35 a dozen you don't really want to 'lose' a ball...

Review of Titleist Pinnacle Gold Golf Balls

Its on the ball

Advantages: efective little cleaner

...I have a small home so when I needed a new vacuum cleaner I chose the Dyson DC24 which is a smaller version of the standard model. It cost £189.99. I was expecting almost a child sized vacuum cleaner but there is not really much difference at all. It was so simple to put together, there are peel off stickers on the unit to explain things as you go. It only took me 5 minutes to have it assembled. The ball makes vacuuming effortless, and the head of the vacuum is narrow so its easy to get under the sofa, low tables, etc. It has strong suction as you would expect from a Dyson but it is surprising how full the cylinder is when you have finished. It really gets everything up. This does mean however that you need to empty the dust cylinder quite frequently. The power cable is short and not retractable which can look a bit untidy if it is...

Titleist Pro V1X

Advantages: Great name in golf balls
Disadvantages: Not really for high handicappers

...I'm not really into the science of golf balls, all I know is that there are good balls and not so good balls. I wouldn't play with golf balls that cost 20p per ball such as Donnay because they don't feel nice to hit and yes on the golf course you just don't use Donnay to play low rounds and in tourneys. I tried a titleist Pro V1X today in a Stableford tourney off white tees so I had a little extra yardage to play, I mostly use Titleist PTS Solo because they are designed for mid to high handicappers, and I can hit them, so they work for me. Titleist have brought out this new breed of ball, and as i said I don't know the science so i'm not going to say there is this and there is that, etc. All i know is that these balls are designed to cut out spin, have a lower flight and create more distance, however, I never saw any of that. Cheeter Line Ball

Advantages: More ball for less
Disadvantages: Durabillity

...Titleist makes the best golf balls, and has proven them selfs on the pro tour for many years. This is a Titleist budget ball with almost the same performance and feel as the more expensive brother the Pro V1. The Cheeter line is very helpfull, for somone that struggles to line up his putts and can even be used to line up the driver giving you better acurisy ultimitly saving you shots on a round. Launches good from the club face and has good controll arrount the greens, nice soft feel on irons giving you the confidence of a tour player. I woeld recomend this ball for the mid handicapper looking for a better ball but does not whant to pay the full price for the Pro V1 range....

I've Got Soft Balls!

Advantages: Extra distance with the driver. Excellent control and spin. Well priced high performance golf ball for the average golfer.
Disadvantages: Meaningless advertising.

...My mum gave me this set of Ecozone Ecoballs® after she had received them as a gift. She asked me to try them out to see what I thought about them, knowing I like trying out new products. The box contained 3 Ecoballs®, 3 refill packs, 45ml tube of Ecozone stain remover and a very handy instruction leaflet. Apparently the contents of the box allow you to do 1000 washes based on a 30 minute cycle in the washing machine. (The balls with pellets last up to 750 washes and the refills included provide an additional 250 washes) Those in hard water areas may achieve a lower amount.
