Tivoli Gardens - the centre of Copenhagen

Advantages: Red noses, cold hands and wonder galore - a must do Christmas experience
Disadvantages: It gets might darned cold!!!

...I was lucky enough to have a short break in wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen in early December. This was my first visit to Denmark and I really didn't know exactly to expect, all I knew of Copenhagen was Hans Christian Anderson and the Little Mermaid. Out hotel was on the outskirts of the city ( due to a mix up with Expedia - the hotel we were supposed to be using hadn't been given out booking!!) but there was an excellent bus service which we found very easy to use. This review is about the little gem that I didn't realise existed in the city. I had heard of Tivoli but didn't know just what it was. Tivoli is in fact the oldest amusement park of the world . Tremendous Tivoli World

Advantages: Good Value, good food, good day out
Disadvantages: kids want to keep going back :(

...If you're on holiday, anywhere along Spain's Costa del Sol, and you have children. Then Tivoli World is a real must. Tivoli World is in the resort of Benalmadena/Arroya de la Miel and is easy to find, Any Hotel or resort reception will be able to advise as to its where abouts, opening times etc: Basically if you're on the Costa del Sol, catching a train to Benalmadena is possibly the best way to get there. I';ve been to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen - this doesn't compare

Advantages: Beautiful settings
Disadvantages: A lame tired old theme park!!

... TIVOLI WORLD BENALMADENA We visited Tivoli World on the Costa del Sol when we were staying at Benalmadena Costa, close to Malaga. Tivoli World is in the Arroyo de la Miel isr egion of Benalmadena halfway between Pueblo Benalmadena in the mountains and Benalmadena Costa on the coast. As well as a theme park Tivolii World holds a market ( which they call a Bric-a-Brac Garden Market) from 11am to 1pm each Sunday and cthis osts 1 euro for each adult to get in. Basically this is a Spanish car boot sale !! The gardens themselves are very pretty with fountains and birds. The Spanish claim that there are over 30 rides and attractions - I don't personally think they are very good at maths!!! They also claim that it is 'Similar to Disney' again their observation skills seem a little lapse...

Enjoyment at Tivoli World

Advantages: Open till the small hours and doesnt break the bank
Disadvantages: Aching bones after a few hours

...Having family in Southern Spain i make a point of visiting Tivoli World on every trip. More for the kids then myself, though i do enjoy it there. There is something there for all ages and at a very reasonable price, Whether u want to purchase a wrist band, or just get tivoli tickets, its very reasonable, Its not as up to date as say Alton towers or Chessington, but there are some thrilling rides, and some real bones crunchers too, lots of dips n bumps, and definately lots of getting wet , if you like logs rides, Make sure u take a poncho. ( and if ur kids screem duck, then duck, usually means ur gonna get soaked) Was a bit worried about one of the rides htere, the big wheel, didnt seem very safe, felt i was gonna fall out of it, though it was pretty windy when i went on it, but havent ventured back onto it. Usually I would buy them from Tesco's, but as I was In a hurry I popped into my local computer retailer (Northbridge Computers in Lowestoft) to see what he had available. All he had on this occassion was TDK CD-R80 discs. There was single CD's in cases, boxs of ten in cases and spindles of twenty-five and one hundred. I plummeted for the spindle of twenty-five as I wasn't rich enough at the time to buy the big fat one hundred spindle. ***Product*** The disc's themselves are light blue with a silver swirl on it. TDK CD-R80 is clearly stamped on it. There is plenty of room to write on them and they can store up to 700MB of data or 80 minutes recording time. Typically you can expect your order to arrive in around 48 hours. They always have a good budget range for sale, usually these are around the £6-8 mark. You pay p+p on top of these though. As expected you can search by artist, title etc, and look through the whole catalogue. There is very rarely a cd they do not have. Prices do vary though, and they may not be the cheapest around. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't! They do offer imports and rare releases. Pure Digital Chronos CD

...I received this gift as a present after asking for an alarm clock which can also play CD's, and as I listening to it for the first time, I was very pleased. As I set this up I was surprised just how quickly it took me, all I needed to do is just plug it in and that was it, I then decided to see if I could pre-set some radio stations, it didn't take long but every time you want to go to your pre-set stations you have to scroll through all of your other pre-set stations because there aren't any numbered buttons which you can use as a 'shortcut' to get to your pre-set options more easily. When I listen to the radio I find that the sound is very clear, and I never have to go anywhere near the top sound, in fact I can even hear it from downstairs (its upstairs) and it still doesn't have to be on its highest volume.
