...it the first thing that hits you is the sheer size of it - I used to think my 32" TV was a reasonable size but in comparison to the x2000 it looks like a toy TV! The x2000 is about 6cm thick and the supplied stand about 30cm thick. This set really does take over the room and brings a whole new meaning to 'home cinema'. Having said that, you'll be surprised how quickly you become accustomed to the size - I now don't really notice it at all. This review is about how I feel about the performance of this unit and then some hehehe. The Advantages: The Projector: This unit is VERY small (size of an A4 piece of paper) and very light and because of this I have no worries that it is going to fall out of the ceiling where it is mounted currently. When I bought mine it came with a very nice carry case that could hold the unit, remote and still had enough room to hold any papers or presentation materials you may have to use. ...Well I'm going to tell you about my experience with the KDL-40 that I bought last month: Firstly - wow 40 inches! Its really big obviously, so you can do basically any screen-orientated thing without having to squint to see what's going on. Well I've never really been a plasma fan, but this screen is really quite amazing. It supports EVERYTHING. Since we're moving into HD in the UK, its quite convenient that the KDL-40 (as I will call it from now) is capable of displaying 1080p and 1080i. If you didn't know, these are high definition (HD) display modes, capable of amazing picture quality. If you don't get that then all you need to know is having HD is GOOD! OK, now something else. Here, the music is being used more as a "fill-up" between different items on literature, music, and all other artforms. From 1 until 2 pm, there's a non stop music programme called "Klas X". Older and newer "classics" are being played without the usual dj talking. My first recommendation for all online listeners! Then from 2 until 7, it's the "typical Stu Bru music" again, followed by "Radar", a programme with a more edgy sound. Advantages: huge screen, excellent quality, symbolic tv, 1080p panel, 8ms response, 8000:1 contrast...
Disadvantages: vga input maxes out at 1366x768 and not 1920x1080 :( price, sound's not that good.

...Sony's KDL46X2000 was the TV everyone had to have...I almost purchased one myself...until I saw this beauty! The KDL46W2000 has all the benefits of the X series (Read - 1920x1080p panel!) with more of the cost of the V series! It seems to me the only difference between this TV and the X2000 is the BRAVIA version...The X2000 has the BRAVIA EX engine, whereas this one has the "Standard BRAVIA". I presonally couldn't justify the extra £500 for the extra "EX", so I ordered this instead. I bought it from Digico for £2100 about a month ago. When it was delivered i was totally bemused by the sheer size of the thing! This zoom seems to focus on exactly what I aim it at, making it easier to use. A 1.8 inch LCD display – size matters – the larger the LCD display the more accurately you can ascertain what your photograph will look like – I found this size to be good, although with my eyesight deteriating, I may have preferred a larger view screen. 4.1 megapixel – what does this mean to the layman – well a standard photograph negative (35mm) has about 3000 x 2000 pixels (i.e. a total of 6,000,000 pixels – I’ve checked I counted em!).
