...This television, for me, offers essentially everything - but at a price. Aesthetics wise, it is excellent, the glass surround adding an extra element of design often missing in new televisions. There are plenty of connections available for use on the X3000/X3500, including HDMIx3 and Componentx3, and a USB slot. Generally, I feel the Television offers very good image quality via SD Freeview, Sky or Virgin Media. During fast action scenes such as sports, the video processing of the Bravia Engine Pro lets the set down a bit - occasionally pixelated areas appear. This can be improved by activating the 'MotionFlow 100Hz' feature available, but it cannot be truely eliminated. However, HD is, as is most sets, where the Sony shines. The picture quality on Blu-Ray discs and the PlayStation 3 is excellent, with little to no motion blurring...

Still an excellent choice

...'s called many things from different companies, but this is just the standard name I use. This is in most televisions these days, sometimes even budget ones (rarely) but it was left out of the TVs between the D3000 and the X3000, which is strange, I think anyway as motionflow doubles the amount of frames used to create a picture, making i smoother. Also, I find that the Standard definition can be quite poor; it's quite good over the built-in freeview but through terrestrial it can get ridiculous. I use sky though so there is no real problem for me. The non-HD images onscreen though seem a little stretched, and no one can say it's because of the screen size. I have seen 50inch Plasmas with amazing SD. It's just missing a few things inside, which isn't great. I can get past this though as the more you watch the less you notice. And if you watch...

Cracking ultra-portable laptop for under a grand
