The website looks fine, they have different links in the top of the website which allow you to go directly into their different options: Car hire, Van hire, People Carriers, Flexi Leasing and Contract Hire. On the top right, we can find quick links to manage our user profile, such as "login", "my details", "my bookings" and "contact us". In the middle of the main page, there is a form to obtain a quick car hire quote, which it is really easy to use. You just select the day and time you would like to collect the car, and the branch where you would like to do it; and then select the same options to return it. Some of these are 'local' events, whilst others are far more widely known. Probably the most well established event on the calendar is the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. Brighton has links with the dawning of the motorcar that may well not be widely known. An example of this is the National Speed Trials, held on the sea front on the first Saturday of September each year. ...As many of you reading this will know, it is unusual for me to write a book review, although admittedly it is far less unusual to find me writing about cars. The timing of this particular review coincides with two events; the publication of my 150th review here on Ciao and, entirely coincidentally, my forty-fifth birthday. On both counts I felt that a little fun and self indulgence were in order, likewise I beg your indulgence over the following paragraphs. Well then, what moved me to write a review about this innocuous looking little "pocket" book? Seeing this book on the cheap book stand in our own (for the time being still open) local Post Office, I could not resist but to pick it up. Cheap? ...One of my first ops on this site was about my favourite magazine – a car magazine of course! -, Auto Express. It still is, but there is another magazine I tend to read and it’s called What Car? (For all you people who haven’t read the category) I never used to read What Car? or Auto Express but I used to read a magazine called Complete Car. I found some the other day and I still think they were good (I got my name in their once). But they merged with Autocar and so dropped in my estimation. I tried Carweek but that mysteriously went defunct. This then led me onto Auto Express, the weekly mag, but just so I can have a bit of variety, I have a pile of What Cars? piling up on ,my bedroom floor. ...The web site is easy to use but for specific information you have to either e-mail or phone them. We visited the car lot in Manchester, which was not as big as it appeared on-line. Not all the types of car listed on the web are physically on site. We already knew which car we wanted to purchase and had a pre-set cash budget with which to barter. The sales person was very helpful, but didn't have enough authority to agree a deal without frequently 'asking his manager'. The price agreed was fantastic - knocking almost £4500 from the dealership price for the same car. One thing to note is that the price they list does not include road fund, registration fees or metallic paint on new cars. The main draw back appears to be delivery time. Ten days after signing the order form, we still have no idea when the car will be available... Read review

...For those of you who are thinking of buying a new car then I would like to introduce you to a way of avoiding paying the over-inflated UK prices and that is to import your own car. I had heard before that it was much cheaper to import a car from Europe than to buy it here but I always thought that it meant travelling to Europe to pick it up and lots of complicated paperwork for the import process. However, more recently a number of car importing agents have appeared on the web which make the process a lot easier than you might imagine. So when my company decided it was no longer going to give me a company car I was faced with the prospect of taking my allowance and buying my own.
