Having read her previous ones I really was hoping that this book was better than the last and I am pleased to say that it was. The cover of the book has a white background and a picture of Katie holding her head and the title in white lettering at the bottom and her real name in pink lettering at the side. The back cover of the book has a black background a has a full picture showing Katie glammed up as Jordan. THE BOOK The book consists of 18 chapters with the first starting on Christmas Eve with this being Juniors first Christmas. ...Can former Playboy Playmate of the Year Anna Nicole Smith act? Who says that she can? Is Anna Nicole Smith appealing? That would be a definite yes. She is an absolute knockout. As a thriller though, TO THE LIMIT is ludicrous with a plot that just does not make sense. The concept at first sounds promising, but the movie's plot is just overwhelming with too many twists and turns that are never fully explained. The connoisseur of mindless movies may feel very alienated by this film's overly sophisticated plot. Anyway, with that said, TO THE LIMIT is bearable. Thanks to the electrifying presence of Anna Nicole Smith, TO THE LIMIT is (barely) endurable. ...I first had to watch this movie in Geography as an end of term treat! Then it was on the movie channels and my parents watched it. I've seen it twice now and it was just as good the second time round! *STORY LINE* Peter and Annie Garret are climbing with there father one day when everything suddenly goes wrong. As Annie, Peter and there father are all secured by one tiny cam, which is starting to move, the father tells Peter to cut him loose (which will kill him) because he'd rather save there lives than keep his own. Peter does cut him loose and then Annie and him stop talking. Three years later we find Peter at the bottom of the Himalayas in Pakistan. He now works for National Geographic and is on a photography trip. When his partner is hurt they are rushed to a base camp, where Annie is co-heading an expedition up the mountain...

taking it to the limit of plausabilty

Advantages: good explsions and sound design
Disadvantages: boring, no tension, bad editing, cardboard characters and so on

...cut to another set of characters and the explsion effects them even though they are nowhere near the escaped nitro. When the rescue team finally reach their target it's very questionable, everyone is near death and barely made it yet they seems to make it down ok. Now I know these movies aren't meant to be rocket science. The film to compare this to is Cliffhanger. I know that's a silly movie but you have to admit it had some great moments and the opening scene was very tense and some of the mountain scenes have a good realism. Even the stuff shot on stages looks quite realistic. yet on Vertical Limit you can tell when something is on a stage, and this is even with 8 years advancement of special effects at hand. ...WARNING - THIS OPINION REVEALS CERTAIN DETAILS ABOUT THE PLOT OF THIS FILM. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO KNOW THEM THEN JUST RATE IT VERY USEFUL ANYWAY SINCE YOU CAN TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THAT IT IS. This was definately not my first choice when i went to the cinema since i had read a load of reviews slating it but when i saw it i discovered that it was actually a great easy-watching (if there is such a thing) film. The opening scene is gripping and really gets your attention, which the film will keep for the next two hours. When i was in the cinema and the dad fell to the ground the whole cinema went silent, except for one idiot who broke out laughing! that's the type of film this is, serious but at the same time comical. ...I watched the video of "Vertical Limit" at a friends house, not my choice whatsoever, I thought it would be quite boring and cheesy, so had no intention of seeing when it was released at the cinema. But since I was at a friend's house I sat through it. At the beginning it was fairly boring and quite inconclusive, with the story suddenly stopping and then moving onto a later time without completely finishing the beginning storyline.
