...Toast Titanium 7 is the premier CD and DVD burning application on Mac OSX. It's easy to see why. It's packed with loads of features that experienced users, like myself need, but the interface is clean and simple. All but the most regular features are not obviously visible from the interface. This is a great decision by Roxio, (who develop the application), as it allows new or inexperienced users to dive straight in and easily burn a CD or DVD. The standard interface layout, shows only a few options for which type of disc to create: "mac only", "mac and pc" and a couple of others, for use with: "data", "music" or "video" CDs or DVDs. What's more, a versatile, lightweight program that can burn at fast speeds without turning DVDs or CDs into a coaster is important, especially one that can burn discs that can be read cross platform. Well Toast is just that. It loads up quickly. Its interface is simple and intuitive (you can drag and drop items onto the program and it creates a new disc, you can create folders within the disc's layout and drag and drop folders, files and whatnot into them, and you can name each disc.) You can select what type of disc you even want to burn (including discs that will be read by Mac or PC, discs that have different sections that can be read by a Mac, and other sections which can be read by PCs.) ...After owning a Krups Crematic combi machine for 5 years, I wanted to own something a step up, although there was nothing really wrong with the Krups and it served me well on a daily basis. Although the new Gaggia Titanium has been out for at least a few months there don't seem to be any reviews of it yet, so I hope this is of help. I was in 2 minds whether to plump for this model or the slightly cheaper Gaggia Synchrony Digital Compact. The main reason the Titanium won was because the water tank was double the size of the Compact, the look was better, and the features were improved. One of the other differences between these two models is the Titanium has an "active" cup-warmer whereas the Compact has a "passive" cup-warmer. ...Whilst going about my normal business on Ciao I noticed a couple of Reviews from trusted members on an item called Syndirella on Toast. As a Chef this immediately got me excited, the thought of a brand new snack to try out is always appealing to me, so I read on with interest. As it turned out, this was no mere recipe but something far more useful and potentially time saving. Syndirella on toast is an ingenious piece of Software that delivers all of the alerts you want it to on all things Ciao without relying on email to do it. Having been a Ciao member for some eight months now I have never in that time received the email alerts I have requested from Ciao properly. Advantages: Efficient, bottom freezer, lots of space, highly adjustable

...regulate the size of the cubes from small to large - in fact, there are five sizes of cubes you can make. Pretty nice, don't you think? General Design: First of all, this really looks very sexy standing in my new kitchen. With its titanium front finish, it doesn't ever look dirty with fingerprints, and that's a huge plus in my house. Moreover, everyone who has come to visit me since it arrived has commented on its beauty. Also, having a freezer on the bottom is a true blessing. I probably go into the freezer only once or twice a day, but I go into the fridge many, many times a day. Because of this, it only makes sense that the part of the fridge I use the most (and that's actually the veggie drawers) is the easiest part to reach. ...This review is on Ham and Cheese Toast Topper. They come in small yellow labelled cans with a ring pull for ease of use. They do not show a picture, just the name of the product! There are other flavours too, such as Chicken and Sweetcorn and Mushroom and Bacon. The tins hold 4.5oz or 128g. Enough to liberally cover four slices of toast or lightly spread over six. Im greedy and I use a whole tin on three slices! Im a pig, I know!! The actual toast topper, back to the Ham and Cheese, is a deep yellow and looks just like melted cheese with bits of ham in it. It smells of cheese too which is a good sign. Toast one side of your toast then add the topping to the untoasted side. The topping spreads with ease to the toast without running off the side. ...Most of us enjoy spicing up that bland piece of dry toast with something other than just Margarine, butter or jams. I regularly enjoy throwing a few slices of ham and cheese on my toast, great for fast and easy food. So the other day, I spotted this toast topper and thought what a great substitute it might be for the real deal. "Producing a delicious satisying light meal" the tin states. Heinz - Ham & Cheeses Toast Topper is just one in the range of Heinz toast topping products. As with most things in life though, there is no substitute for the real thing. On opening the small, easy to open, ring pull tin (that looked rather like one from Heinz Baby food range) the orangy mush that greeted me did actually smell vaguely of cheese, so off I went. ...This has to be the best kitchen gadget I own. It is so useful and I use it almost evry day. No longer do I have to eat boring cold sandwiches, as this clever little devise makes toasted sandwiches in about 5 minutes flat! The device it's self is a grill and toaster combined that shuts and clamps down and cooks your food whilst inside the machine. It is dishwasher safe so you don't have to be bothered cleaning it yourself if you are fortunate enogh to have a dishwasher. It has been designed so you can remove the plates making it easy to clean and it comes with an extra plate so you can also cook meat such as chicken or even fish. I have to credit Delia Smith with teaching me to prepare food, but Elizabeth David, Jane Grigson and Nigel Slater taught me about loving good food, adapting recipes and using quality ingredients. I read him each week in The Observer and I've got a file full of cuttings as well as most of his books. I've got one of those cuttings on the desk in front of me now. Actually it's more than a cutting – it's five pages torn from The Observer Magazine in May 1997 and it's entitled "I am what I ate".
