...I brought the Tobi off a shopping channel on the T.V. a few weeks ago and after waiting for a week for it to arrive; I was very excited when it finally got here.

...Firstly, I have to say it really puzzles me why there are so many great reviews out there on the net for this Car Seat. Usually when I review a baby product it is because I am raving about how great it is. But this is different. I have my reservations about the Maxi-Cosi Tobi, which is the Car Seat I currently have for my 26 month old boy.
We had to buy a second Car Seat as my husband drops our son at nursery and I collect him, and due to lack of space the nursery cannot accommodate the seat in my husband's car if he were to take it out and leave it there for me to collect when I lift our son. And if I am honest I would rather have two car seats for convenience as much as anything else. ...A couple of weeks ago, myself and mrs p took a short break to Washington...not the DC one, but the original near Sunderland. We were staying at the Holiday Inn and thought it convenient that there was a Toby Carvery just a few hundred metres away where, after a long...make that very l o n g day shopping at the Metro Centre, we could just check into the hotel, have a quick freshen up, and toddle off to the Toby for a bite to eat and a bucket of beer.
So we did.
On arriving at 6.55 we were informed that we were too late for the fiver special deals which ended at 7. We were then told that there was a 20 minute wait for a table. Oh well, things could only get better.

...Having read a report by a leading consumer group which stated that the maxi cosi tobi was the safest non isofix car seat on the market we felt we couldn't do anything other than upgrade our existing car seat.
When the tobi arrived I was really impressed with it, it fitted really securely in the car (a citroen picasso) and my little girl loved it, it was really comfy and gave good head support. We had it in the car for a week when the heat wave struck. I got in the car after work one day and noticed that the base of the car seat where there is a seam was split and the lower part of it had begun to warp. This concerned me slightly but I assummed it was the heat. It was 40degrees in the car. We took the car seat out of the car that night and expected it to return to normal.
Unfortunately it didn't, and the next day it warped...

...I purchased a Tobi Fabric Steamer online for £49.99 from SuperTvProducts just before Xmas because they offered a money back guarantee and as a young sngle mum of a 3 year old son I cant imagine anyone detesting ironing as much as I do.
I was well aware of the common complaints of this product so knew what to look out for. It arrived pretty quickly and I used it for the first time this morning. It was pretty easy to assemble and use and I must say for first time use I was pretty impressed with the results I got especially on cotton fabrics.
I did not experience any leakages like other users did and used an one of my hands oven mit on one of my hands to avoid burning or scaulding myself (as I read that this was a common complaint). After steaming the first or second item I had adopted a tecnique that saw me fly through the rest...

Advantages: lovely if you like a roast dinner Disadvantages: no choice for vegetarians
...It's very rare that I get a Sunday off from work, so when I do, we like to either go out for Sunday lunch or cook a roast at home.
Recently we took a trip to the Toby Carvery down the road from us. As you can imagine, being a Sunday, and serving roast dinners, the place can get very busy. We noticed it was easier to get a table for two rather than a larger table very quickly.
There isn't the option to be able to book in advance, however if you should need to wait for a table, you have the option of sitting in the bar while one becomes available.

Being owned by Mitchells and Butlers (the same company who own the Harvester restaurants), the two Carvery pubs I have eaten in in the past, have the same kind of layout and style as the Harvester restaurants. Laid out to be half pub, half restaurant, you have the choice...

...Toby is a small book in the My Thomas Story Library. He is a Tram Engine. He is brown in colour.
The cover of the book has a picture of Toby and above this there is an orange banner with the title in blue lettering. The back cover of the book is also orange and has small pictures showing the other titles available in the collection.
THE STORY
The first page in the book has a short passage from the Fat Controller telling us that he is a Tram Engine, he loves people but when he arrived on the island everyone thought he was very old fashioned.
Toby has cow catchers and side plates and he has a coach called Henrietta, he loves people and is happy when he is able to help them and people also like to help him too. Toby and Henrietta worked on the little line near the holiday town, they always worked hard taking trucks from...

...At the weekend during a visit to family we decided that it would be nice to go out for a meal.
With 4 generations of us we decided to go to Toby Carvery as we could either have the carvery and help ourselves to as much or as little as we want - ideal for the youngest generation and the eldest or the set menu.
We went to the Toby Carvery in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
On entering the grounds we found plenty of free parking surrounded by plenty of well set out lawn and garden.
On entering Toby Carvery you have to wait for the waitress to ask how many of you there are.
We were told there would be a 30 minute wait. That did not seem too bad and we went to the second part where there is a bar and settled down to order and have a drink.
The drinks were very reasonably priced. In fact all were at least 30p cheaper than the town...

...Finding local places to eat with a toddler where you?re not going to spend the earth, feel rushed or be completely surrounded by other people?s brats is no mean feat. We have plenty of great gastro-pubs near us and many a fine restaurant but we just fancied something a bit more relaxed. A luckily timed email from Michell?s & Butler?s provided the answer ? a Toby Carvery. The email contained an offer - £5 for an adult carvery meal and an ice-cream sundae. That ticked almost every box except one ? my last experience of a Toby Carvery many years ago was not good. Still, at £15 plus drinks for the three of us (it was cheaper to have an adult meal for my son) we decided that it was worth a punt.
