Ten things I Hate about You Tobi.

Advantages: It looks good. It has essentially got good features
Disadvantages: It just doesn't live up to promises

...Firstly, I have to say it really puzzles me why there are so many great reviews out there on the net for this Car Seat. Usually when I review a baby product it is because I am raving about how great it is. But this is different. I have my reservations about the Maxi-Cosi Tobi, which is the Car Seat I currently have for my 26 month old boy. We had to buy a second Car Seat as my husband drops our son at nursery and I collect him, and due to lack of space the nursery cannot accommodate the seat in my husband's car if he were to take it out and leave it there for me to collect when I lift our son. And if I am honest I would rather have two car seats for convenience as much as anything else.   Good old Toby!

Advantages: lovely if you like a roast dinner

...It's very rare that I get a Sunday off from work, so when I do, we like to either go out for Sunday lunch or cook a roast at home. Recently we took a trip to the Toby Carvery down the road from us. As you can imagine, being a Sunday, and serving roast dinners, the place can get very busy. ...At the weekend during a visit to family we decided that it would be nice to go out for a meal. With 4 generations of us we decided to go to Toby Carvery as we could either have the carvery and help ourselves to as much or as little as we want - ideal for the youngest generation and the eldest or the set menu. We went to the Toby Carvery in Banbury, Oxfordshire. On entering the grounds we found plenty of free parking surrounded by plenty of well set out lawn and garden. On entering Toby Carvery you have to wait for the waitress to ask how many of you there are. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait. Tobi Fabric Steamer

Advantages: Easy to assemble and use, very effective on cotton, reduces ironing time
Disadvantages: Rod could stand to be a bit more sturdy, have to hold garment firm and taunt

Third time unlucky with the tobi

...Having read a report by a leading consumer group which stated that the maxi cosi tobi was the safest non isofix car seat on the market we felt we couldn't do anything other than upgrade our existing car seat. When the tobi arrived I was really impressed with it, it fitted really securely in the car (a citroen picasso) and my little girl loved it, it was really comfy and gave good head support. We had it in the car for a week when the heat wave struck. I got in the car after work one day and noticed that the base of the car seat where there is a seam was split and the lower part of it had begun to warp. This concerned me slightly but I assummed it was the heat. It was 40degrees in the car. We took the car seat out of the car that night and expected it to return to normal.
