...The Samsung SGH-F480, also known as the Samsung Tocco has been readily available on the market since June 2008. Since the release of the first touch screen phones and the ensuing craze which followed, this phone has been long awaited in its arrival due to its availability on more networks and at a better price. The features offered by this phone are well displayed and presented and the phone as a whole looks great. With a little practise (it only took me a few hours!) the touch screen becomes easy to use but this is mainly due to the fact that such a novelty object is hard to put down! The main feature which i like is the large screen which means all photos and videos look great, which is of course helped along by the fact that the camera is 5.0megapixels! My only complaints would be that i'm very aware of the touch screen... Read review

...NOISE-CITY!!" I am by no means an expert photographer, but do have a basic understanding. I have used various Fuji, Olympus and Canon compact digitals before buying this Fuji F480. Different consumers have different needs from a camera. And various models have specific features/limitations. The best quality pictures are produced from full-sized cameras with full sized lenses but NOT necessarily huge pixel-counts; for the F480 and it's 8 megapixels to be shoe-horned into such a compact package is great. But the resulting pictures don't half suffer! I've been looking for years for a suitable wide-angle compact. I used Fuji's E510 & E550 which were pretty good but suffered from bad purple fringeing. Then along came Canon's IXUS 850 IS which looked the part. Reported reliability issues and norticeably blurry corners... Read review

...I have had this phone for about 2 weeks now, and have to say its absolutely ace! Firstly, the look is so sleek, I previously had the Nokia N95, which even though it was a good phone, was a bit on the chunky side! The Samsung F480 is very sexy, is thin, and stylish and the touch screen is ace. Texting takes a bit of getting used to, but I'm just about getting there now! The touch screen isn't hard to use, its actually very easy and the menus are all easy to navigate around too. I have been very impressed with the battery life of this phone, my old N95 ran out of battery after about 2 days of normal use, the Samsung F480 has lasted 5/6 days, so I'm only having to charge it around once a week. I would recommend this phone to anyone!... Read review

...I got the Samsung F480 recently as a free upgrade from my contract provider, I don't think I would have paid for this phone as I'm fairly clumsy and wouldn't have been convinced the large screen would have lasted more than a month. The phone itself however isn't as fragile as it looks and I haven't managed to do any damage to it yet (Despite dropping it on several occasions and sitting on it once.) I'm not going to go in all the technical details of the phone as I don't think they provide you what you really need to know about the phone so I'll stick to the stuff that I use a mobile for. Navigating you way round the menu's on the phone is fairly easy and I find the touchscreen quite innovative, the menu's follow the standard Samsung format and you can find everything you need quite easily, the phone is obviously an attempt to rival... ...so......i decided to upgrde my mobile phone to the Samsung SGH-F480 ....'THE TOCCO' i received the phone from Phones 4 U who i always upgrade my phone with and after them 'strongly recommending' the 'TOCCO' i decided to go ahead and try the modern touch screen thats popular in the market these days. Well that was it.....goodbye to quick texting, good old chats on the phone and happy snapping!! it took me 10 minutes or so to reply to text messages as me like any other girl has nails and it is not a nail friendly phone!! i could not fit my 'little' fingers on the keyboard to even type a text message!! its just wrong how long it actually takes to send a 'quick text'!! So by this time i was fed up of taking forever and a day to send 1 text message so decided to tell friends and family to ring me. So......there i am on the phone... Read review

...week to maintain my monthly talking/texting time and taking photos/videos occasionally. Charging the unit/battery is using a USB connection which is also included in the purchase. This USB cable connection is compatible with my old Samsung P300 and even E250, except for the latest model, Samsung Tocco, SGH-F480V (which I purchased recently for my third contract under Vodafone) which has a bigger slot connection. I recommend to turn-off the phone to maximise the efficiency of the battery while charging. An image of a battery (fully charged) will appear on the screen when the unit is completely charged. The phone can also accommodate up to 1000 contacts in the phonebook and 200 saved text messages. Incoming and outgoing messages are automatically saved in the My Messages, while drafts can be restored/saved or deleted easily. Contact details... Read review
