...problem was that the wall plugs included were unsuitable as they didn't grip the wall, however once I had changed them and it was complete the fittings could not be seen unlike other products I had looked at. Now, my bathroom is finished, I think the 'Canterbury Range' of products suit it very well. The toilet roll holder is very handy as it doesn't stick out far from the wall. It can be difficult to change the toilet roll if it isn't completely empty, but after a while it does get easier. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and how useful this product is. I believe it was an excellent choice and I am delighted....

Review of B&Q Caterbury natural pine toilet roll holder

Roll on the next brand of toilet tissue.

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful. Just about does the job.
Disadvantages: Not very absorbent. Bit rough when used.

...Whilst doing my weekly shopping I came across the toiletries aisle, and with my relatively low budget, opted to peruse the cheaper wares. Normally when I buy toilet paper in particular I am not too fussy (the colour matters not as I believe it's all going to the same place anyway). I have to say that it was the stonkingly low price that first attracted me to Asda's very own Smartprice toilet rolls, at 40p for 4 rolls. A bargain you may think, but as to be expected, this is evident through the quality of the rolls themselves. The packaging is very basic (plain transparent wrapping with what it is briefly described in Asda's very own style of black and green writing. I won't go into details over my experience of actually using the toilet tissue, but I will say that you can certainly tell the difference between this and higher quality...

Bargain Bog Roll!

...When we refurbished our bathroom I bought this chrome plated toilet brush and toilet roll holder. I wanted a slim silvery coloured toilet brush holder to match the silver trims on the shower and the bathroom cabinet. When I spotted this one I was pleased, this set only costs £9.97p. Similar ones are available at slightly higher prices. This set consists of a base into which fits a stainless steel arc which has a toilet roll holder into the base fits the silvery container to keep the toilet brush in. This is a freestanding item. ...on the toilet roll holder and you need to have it to hand, no good struggling across the bathroom to `freshen up!` I decided to place mine behind the waste basket, out of sight, I really didn`t want anyone to think that I had a `problem`. As you pull a wipe out from the tub, it is moist and smells very pleasant. Maybe Andrex should do these in three different sizes, small, medium and large? My plumbing is old, well not `mine` (I lie well don`t I ?) LOL My pipes won`t stand too much and the thought of a hefty plumbing bill doesn`t reaqlly appeal to me. Fairly thick moist wipes and dodgy plumbing, maybe not a good combination. I dithered for a while, there was I trying to decide whether to use the extravagant article and as I teetered on the brink the wipe was drying out fast! I always like to add some toilet cleaner in the toilet because not only does it make the toilet smell fresh and clean but I think it does actually make it cleaner. Having always used some of the more well known brands, i decided to try out tescos own make, mainly because I seem to spend a lot of time in the shop, and it was there! Luxuriously soft toilet tissue.

Advantages: Great packaging, embossed, 3 ply, lovely and soft, good price.
Disadvantages: None.

...I have tried cheap toilet rolls in the past and I have tried expensive ones and I think that generally you have to pay for good quality ones. The four toilet rolls comes packaged in a polythene bag and it has a nice blue & gold logo on the front of the packaging which makes it feel quite luxurious. By squeezing the packet I can tell that these are quite soft. These Quilted toilet rolls are made up of 3 plys of toilet tissue and this gives it a nice thick, quilted feel and it is very soft. I did find it to be softer and thicker than 2 ply tissues and it is embossed with a nice clover leaf pattern so it even looks nice in my bathroom! There are 165 sheets per roll which is a little less than most standard toilet rolls but then as these are thicker I did find that I needed to use less.
