...Whilst doing my weekly shopping I came across the toiletries aisle, and with my relatively low budget, opted to peruse the cheaper wares. Normally when I buy toilet paper in particular I am not too fussy (the colour matters not as I believe it's all going to the same place anyway). I have to say that it was the stonkingly low price that first attracted me to Asda's very own Smartprice toilet rolls, at 40p for 4 rolls. A bargain you may think, but as to be expected, this is evident through the quality of the rolls themselves. The packaging is very basic (plain transparent wrapping with what it is briefly described in Asda's very own style of black and green writing. I won't go into details over my experience of actually using the toilet tissue, but I will say that you can certainly tell the difference between this and higher quality...

The Canterbury Range Toilet Roll Holder.

Advantages: High quality and great value for money.
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to removed the toilet roll.

...problem was that the wall plugs included were unsuitable as they didn't grip the wall, however once I had changed them and it was complete the fittings could not be seen unlike other products I had looked at. Now, my bathroom is finished, I think the 'Canterbury Range' of products suit it very well. The toilet roll holder is very handy as it doesn't stick out far from the wall. It can be difficult to change the toilet roll if it isn't completely empty, but after a while it does get easier. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and how useful this product is. I believe it was an excellent choice and I am delighted....

Bargain Bog Roll!

I always like to add some toilet cleaner in the toilet because not only does it make the toilet smell fresh and clean but I think it does actually make it cleaner. Having always used some of the more well known brands, i decided to try out tescos own make, mainly because I seem to spend a lot of time in the shop, and it was there! Luxuriously soft toilet tissue.

Advantages: Great packaging, embossed, 3 ply, lovely and soft, good price.
Disadvantages: None.

...I have tried cheap toilet rolls in the past and I have tried expensive ones and I think that generally you have to pay for good quality ones. The four toilet rolls comes packaged in a polythene bag and it has a nice blue & gold logo on the front of the packaging which makes it feel quite luxurious. By squeezing the packet I can tell that these are quite soft. These Quilted toilet rolls are made up of 3 plys of toilet tissue and this gives it a nice thick, quilted feel and it is very soft. I did find it to be softer and thicker than 2 ply tissues and it is embossed with a nice clover leaf pattern so it even looks nice in my bathroom! There are 165 sheets per roll which is a little less than most standard toilet rolls but then as these are thicker I did find that I needed to use less. What caused this merriment of mirth? It was Asda's own brand of Shades 'Aroma' bathroom tissue to give it its true marketed title. Well, I thought, I've tried double quilted, double velvet, extra thick, floral patterned and every rainbow coloured version of toilet roll...sorry, bathroom tissue, on sale ,so why not try this one.I didnt say anything to my family, and awaited their reaction, if at all they noticed. I wanted a slim silvery coloured toilet brush holder to match the silver trims on the shower and the bathroom cabinet. When I spotted this one I was pleased, this set only costs £9.97p. Similar ones are available at slightly higher prices.
