...Ok, so this is the third instalment of The Fast and The Furious, or is it another film just borrowing on the success of the other two films. Its a different style of racing, "drifting" its not about that 1/4 of a mile or km anymore its just about going fast and too the limit to beat each other around various raceways notably at the start a multi-storey carpark, to the mountains outside the city. The Cars: The cars range from modded VW's to Vipers, and Hyundai sports. In the start and ending of the film you get some reference to the previous two films which attempt to add some continuity to the storyline, but apart from those references this is all new. Thrown out is the muscle cars of old and the nitrous fueled speedsters, in come new sporty small cars in an urban sprawl, where its not about teh sheer speed but the control... Read review

...And The Furious: Tokyo Drift or has 2006 produced a film that I'm actually interested in? Ever since joining Ciao I've always been on the look out for products to rate, it's like you get a sixth sense, and after finding a website on the internet that has a massive database of shows and movies I decided I'd started watching Tokyo Drift on there. It's probably illegal, but I thought I'd pass some time. So I watched the first part and wow, it was actually pretty good. I clicked the link for the second part and surprise, surprise, it didn't work! Never trust things below the law aye. Being left only having seen about 10 minutes of the film I would borrow the film on official DVD off a friend this past Friday night. Advantages: Three films with unbeliavably nice cars in

...Although i enjoyed the first two films and didn't love nor hate the third. i feel this release is unnecessary. but the main reason i don't really like it is all down to the third film; The fast and the furious-Tokyo drift. if it didn't have "The fast and the furious" in the title you would have know idea its anything to do with the other two. at least they had the same character in. but this is just a completely different thing alltoghter. i thought the third was going to lead on from the second and show Brian O'Connor setting up a garage like it said in the film. but anyway ill move on. ...This third installment of the Fast and the Furious (the original starred Vin Diesel, who makes a brief appearence in this movie)stars Sean Boswell as Lucas Black, who we find out is a part time mechanic and street racer in the US. In the intro to the movie we see Lucas take on Clay (Zachary Ty Bryan)in a red Chrsyler Viper over a challenge concerning a cheerleader Lucas sees in the parking lot. The race ends badly when Lucas smashes his car to pieces and gets convicted by the cops for reckless driving. The only saviour is his mother, who decides to send him to Tokyo, where her ex-husband and Lucas's father Lieutenant Boswell (Brian Goodman)lives. Advantages: Some Fancy cars

...After the moderate success of the first 2 movies it seemed almost inevitable that The Fast and The Furious franchise would make a third and hopefully final outing. The first film seemed to have something different, it was a decent concept, with a couple of decent actors and the whole concept worked. The second was no where near as good but at least held a throw back to the first film with the retention of one of the lead characters. From the moment I heard about Tokyo Drift I thought it would be a stage too far, but would I be proved right? Having been turfed out of a number of schools Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) is shipped off to Tokyo to live with his father. He lives in a pretty run down part of town but Sean soon manages to get himself back into the local illegal racing circuit with the help of his new found friendship with Twinkie... Read review

...* THE NAMES O'CONNOR * Lately I've been getting quite a few notches on my belt.. that is when it comes to movies I have been catching free of charge on television. Last night was no different, as I found '2 Fast 2 Furious' as the late night movie on ITV2. I have seen the whole of the Fast and the Furious trilogy, but I can barely remember the third one which I only saw a matter of months ago so you can imagine how my memory fairs when it comes to the other two. It's just a matter of fact, these movies aren't memorable. They're just brainless movies that you can watch at a drop of a hat, but they aren't half entertaining. ...I have very mixed feelings towards this film and I came out of the cinema not really knowing whether I loved or hated the film. I suppose I loved the Fast and the Furious because it was action packed, unpredictable and kept me in permanent suspense. Though I hated it because there wasn't any basic storyline or plot. And I've never seen a film that has no basic storyline or plot so did I genuinely hate the film or was I just simply scared of something different to a typical film? What the Fast and the Furious really has going in its favour is that it is total non-stop action, at 1hr 40 it doesn't feel stretched or too long and director Rob Cohen seems to excel in keeping the viewers attention throughout the film. Advantages: Novel twists on some racing genres (if you haven't played NFS Most Wanted), good to unwind, decent soundtrack
Disadvantages: Can be frustrating, you need a decent machine to really enjoy it, gets samey after a while

...point A to point B and be the first across the line. Drift : Basically slide around a course without hitting the walls for maximum points (think of The Fast and The Furious Tokyo Drift and you get the idea) Checkpoint : Get to the various checkpoints within the time limit. Speedtrap : Be the fastest to go through the speed cameras (don't try this in the real world folks!) Now by far, my favourite race mode always used to be drift. I've always got something out of going around corners side ways, and I was overjoyed when I saw it return to Carbon (they'd taken it out of Most Wanted), but my joy was short lived. It's nigh on impossible to drift in the canyon races. Sliding around is all well and good until you either hit a wall (all to easy to do) or hit one of the corners that have a flimsy barrier instead of a wall and go off the edge... Read review

...the police he starts to trust Brian and lets him into the world of street racing. In the end brian is torn betwwen his loyalty to dominic (because they have become friends by now) and his responsibiltys as a police officer. With lots of intense action and awesome stunts this film will not dissapoint, its great soundtrackyou might want to buy the ost and their are two of them The first one called music from the fast and the furious is croos between rock and hip hop with songs by Ja Rule,limp bizkit, faith evans, r kelly and many more The second one called more fast and the furious is a cross between dance and rock with songs by roni size, bt,machine head, hoobastank, saliva and many more. This film was one of the sleeper hit of 2001 and made $140m in usa and £6.4m in the uk. If you have seen this movie make sure you see... Read review
