Rangemaster toledo 110 cooker
Advantages: Looks really smart and efficient
Disadvantages: None that spring to mind
...We bought a rangemaster toledo 110 cooker for our new kitchen earlier this year.
We decided on the colour of silver rather than stainless steal as this is easier to clean and wipe.
The double oven is brilliant and practical. One is fan assisted so is really fast the other is just conventional. They are both large and can easily cook Christmas dinner for a family of 14. Both have large windows on the doors which is brilliant for checking on foods. Built in oven lights too.
It also has a separate built in grill. If you need to grill something small you just switch on half the grill - how cool is that?
The built in hob on top is lovely. We have electric so naturally have a ceramic hob. This too is easy to clean. There are 6 halogen rings. Two of which you can half on or full on.
Beware of scratches though on the g;ass hob.
All in all...

Dual fuel Rangemaster cooker - for great cooks
Advantages: Looks good, cooks well economical in gas use
Disadvantages: none that we haqve found
.../range back into this space. It needed very careful measurement because if we bought a cooker that would then not fit in the whole we had we were going to be in big trouble. Anyway we measured and consulted with the kitchen fitters and we finally decided that the Rangemaster dual fuel 110 would fit in the hole and so - all systems go. We also have no mains gas in our village so we needed to have gas pipes ready for calor gas tanks laid under our driveway which fortunately was being newly laid at this time as the kitchen was only a small part of our major house renovation.
After living off microwaved food and TakeAways for a month we were so excited about finally going to move back into our new kitchen and be able to use a cooker to cooker proper meals or so we thought? It turned out that although we had had a gas pipe fitted under the new...

Toledo, history preserved, hill top heritage
Advantages: Historic, beautiful scenery, feel good place
Disadvantages: None
...A visit to Toledo is memorable for so many different reasons. Other visitors' reactions are most likely similar to mine - so much history, beautiful to walk through while experiencing how preservation of religion has affected architecture in this magnificent Spanish National Monument.
One day recently I joined thousands of other tourists to stroll through the narrow, steep, cobbled streets to glimpse just a little taste of how Toldeo has evolved since it was Spain's capital from Gothic days to 1560.
From the minute I sighted the main gate - Peurta de Bisgra, a ninth century creation - I knew this visit was going to be all it was promised to be by a dear friend who had been there six years earlier and advised, quite rightly, that it was a must when visiting Madrid, 71 kilometres away.
The focus of my visit was to be...

Ixus 110 - a great point and shoot camera but nothing more.
Advantages: Range of features, quality of pictures in night time mode.
Disadvantages: Quality of pictures in cloudy weather and low light,
... The looks
*This camera looks great. The curvy design makes it something you won't be embarrassed to carry around with you all the time, and it's the perfect size to keep in your admittedly relatively large pocket, but I'm sure it would fit just fine in most handbags.
The layout
*The Ixus 110 has a relatively minimalist layout which I like very much, but whether such a layout will suit you will definitely be down to personal taste. On the front you've got the flash, lense and autofocus LED, so nothing new there. On the top of the camera there's the shutter relase, shooting mode slider where you select the gallery, photo or video mode, and the on off button. The back of the camera on the other hand sports a much less traditional design, containing the high quality LCD screen and the scroll wheel. Whilst this set up...

Canon Powershot SX110 IS
Advantages: Lots of features
Disadvantages: Quite expensive
...Design
The Canon Powershot SX110 IS is a pretty big camera compared to some on the market. It is around 11cm by 7cm and feels quite large in your hands, although this does make it feel sturdy and strongly built. Despite the size, it fits into your hands rather smoothly and is fairly comfortable to hold. It weighs in at around 300g which is quite heavy but once again makes it feel strong. It is too large to keep it comfortably in your pocket and so the wrist strap comes in handy. (A neck strap would be a nice addition though). I was told you can also purchase a pouch for it to clip on to your belt. You can get to the buttons, pop up flash light and battery space easily and they are all well made and strong. The battery space holds two AA battery's and they are easy to change compared to some cameras which are fiddly or the battery...

GHD Ceramic Straighteners *** UPDATED***
Advantages: Quick to heat up, good result, easy to use
Disadvantages: quite expensive
...I have completely updated the whole of this review so i would be very grateful if you could all take a look. Em x
GHD Professional Ceramic Straighteners:
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
These hair straighteners are the best ones i have come across. I am no expect but i have tried quite a few different hair straighteners by borrowing friends etc!! After a few subtle hints on my part my boyfriend brought me my GHD staighteners for christmas last year and they are my favourite item in my bedroom!!
What they look like...
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The straighteners are long and slim and black in colour. The ceramic straightening plates are an orangey colour and are very smooth. The straightener has a 2m black cord coming from the handle end and the on off switch is a slide switch with a red light which flashes when...

Toledo, the nearest thing to time-travel
Advantages: Important cultural and historical centre
Disadvantages: Can be busy in the tourist season
...Toledo is ideally located for a day-trip for anyone taking a short city-break in Madrid. After a day or two in the busy-ness of Madrid city centre it is refreshing to go to somewhere so very different, a walled ancient city set in typical Spanish landscape. But take your camera and more film than you’d expect to have to take for as you round every corner there’ll be something that just demand a photograph!
Toledo, is set on a large rocky mound among rather flat, dry countryside. Its medieval buildings tower up over the surrounding landscape and as you get close to the city you can see that it is a walled town, with fortifications surrounding the many towers and spires of its ancient buildings. Visitors arriving on the train, have a short walk from the station and as you round the first bend in the road, you are...

A great buy
Advantages: Easy to use and keep clean. Fan oven rapidly heats up. Looks great and cooks like a dream.
Disadvantages: No safety cut out on gas rings.
...Have owned a Toledo 110 dual fuel in gloss black for almost 12 months now.
Firstly, it looks the part-stylish and blends well with the modern stainless steel look as well as more traditional kitchens. Everyone admires it!
It's easy to clean. The rings just disassemble and can be put in a bowl of hot water and washing up liquid, and the rest of the hob can be wiped down.
You can use a whole array of domestic cleaners-the instruction manual tells you which ones can be used on what bit.
Both ovens work well. The fan oven bakes cakes beautifully every time and the rate at which it heats up to temperature is amazing.
The conventional oven is great for cooking fish, meat etc. The overall oven capacity is fantastic, and having a separate grill is a godsend as it means that you can use it at the same time as both the ovens.
The basting...

Fancy an Arty Day Out? Try the Ceramic Experience
Advantages: Laid Back atmosphere, children welcome, fun and lots to do at reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Can get busy and hectic and you may have to wait
...Having 2 children and being a stay at home mummy, I often look for new places to visit to keep the children occupied. A friend mentioned the Ceramic Experience, to me and I had to investigate and see for myself.
You can find the Ceramic experience On the road down to the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre and is directly opposite the Express by Holiday Inn.
The entrance is through heavy double doors which is wide enough for a double buggy as well as wheelchairs. It is on floor and ground level making it was access and there is always a member of staff there to meet and welcome you with a smile.
The Ceramic Experience has recently moved. It used to be in 2 rooms, now it is all one big room. There is a cafe area where you pay for all your goods and anything which you may have to eat or drink while you are there. There are 2 large...

REMMINGTON POWER CERAMIC HAIR STRAIGHTENER CS1001
Advantages: Top class performance, excellent results, great value
Disadvantages: Absolutely none - unless you're accident prone!
...my hairdresser, a friendly young girl who loves a natter and a bit of gossip. I told her that my sister's wedding was coming up and I'd really like to take control of my hair so that it looked half decent for the photographs.
She washed and trimmed my hair as normal and then added some l'Oreal Protective Hair Serum. Only a small amount, about the size of a grape. This was stroked in from the roots downwards and the hair then blow dryed until it was completely dry.
Taking out a slim pair of black ceramic straighteners she then gently ran the blades down the top layer of hair from about half way down, where the kinks start, to the ends. She hardly pressed the straighteners on to the hair at all and the whole process was extremely quick and totally painless.
My hair felt extremely soft afterwards, appeared very straight...
