Splinter Cell
Review of Tom Clancy`s Splinter Cell (Xbox) by
smooth_criminal_
Advantages: Atmospheric gameplay, cool gadgets
Disadvantages: Some ideas taken from MGS2, some
...impressed us was the ability to pick locks. Now this has been done before but in Splinter Cell you don’t just press a button and watch Sam pick the lock you actually have to do it manually yourself. Don’t worry its not too tricky but it may require some patience from time to time.
As you may of noticed Splinter Cell is a Tom Clancy game. However, there isn’t much evidence of this since you play as one character rather than a squad in other Clancy titles such as Ghost Recon. There’s no fiddling about before the mission; all the tactical stuff comes into play while you’re in the thick of it which means you’ll have to keep your wits about you at all times. Another thing which, thankfully, wasn’t included in Splinter Cell was the trademark Clancy; if you get shot you die. Not in Splinter Cell, if you get...

Splinter Cell - absolutely superb
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (PC) by
felixmatthew
Advantages: Great sound, fantastic graphics
Disadvantages: a little hard to control at first, but keep at it!
...When I recently upgraded my computer to an all singing all dancing version, I decided to test the graphics and gaming card that PC world told me was "the best money could buy". I opted for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.
* A bit about the character you control, SAM FISHER*
You play the character of Sam Fisher and you are the best filed operative of a secretive NSA sub-agency. Sent to execute desperate missions, you are the last resort of your government. Shoulf you be captured of killed, all knowledge of your existence will be denied: you are SPLINTER CELL.
Fisher has been on the front lines of espionage in several defining conflicts throughout past decades. He has not only survived, but also excelled in the field of covert operations through hard work, insatiable curiosity and brutal honesty. He has little time for polite...

Classic Splinter Cell with a few added... things.
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (Xbox 360) by
Halo92
Advantages: Really good game. Good, easy to understand missions and exeptional graphics.
Disadvantages: Very difficult to master, sound system needs a bit of work.
...One of the latest instalments of the hugely successful Splinter Cell series, Splinter Cell Double Agent is a great game, cool and fun to play as, for the first time ever, you take on the role of a bad guy.
Splinter Cell is now more interactive than ever, as even the slighest descision can change the outcome of the game. This time, you have to build on the trust of both the NSA, and the JBA, a terrorist group you have been sent to infiltrate and destroy from within.
In Double Agent, you will alternate between actual missions and resting at the JBA's base, where you are to complete missions for the NSA (eg, scan finger prints and retina's to gain access to hidden rooms etc). This kind of mission is timed, and often involves sneaking into private areas, and so builds on tension. Ubisoft have really thought this out.
Graphics...

You are a Splinter Cell!
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (PC) by
jonty68
Advantages: Excellent gameplay, AI, graphics
Disadvantages: expensive bought new
...I bought the game Splinter Cell because I had seen a preview on TV of it and it looked excellent. I had recently bought a new computer so I wanted to give my new hardware a test. I bought it second hand for around £20 but new you could have been paying £35 or so. This is what I thought of the game after playing it.
---The Basic Plot---
[Extract from back of box] "Your name is Sam Fisher and you are the best field-operative of a secretive NSA sub agency. Sent to execute desperate missions, you're the last resort of your government. Should you be captured or killed, all knowledge of your existence will be denied." This is your job, which is basically a SAS typo, one-man army. You are trained to the extreme and your experience is legendary. This is the introduction to the character. The opening cut scene describes your mission...

Splinter cell 2 or 1.5?
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow (PS2) by
Mikewarren
Advantages: Better graphics, new moves and spectacular AI
Disadvantages: Harder than a conker baked in an oven
...The original Splinter Cell for the PS2 was an outstanding game that revolutionized the stealth action genre, and Pandora Tomorrow is an extremely capable sequel, but it really feels like more time was devoted to developing the multiplayer game than the single-player campaign.
Don't get me wrong, though. PT is a great game, but I can't help but thinking that I'm playing through an expansion pack for the original SC. I did love the first game, so this isn't really a problem, but I was just hoping for some kind of mind-blowing innovative graphics or gameplay like the original had. For it's time, the first SC had some of the most impressive lighting effects anyone had ever seen, and the ability to actually "hide" in the shadows was a huge step forward for gaming.
It may seem like I'm complaining, but I'm not.
This game...

Splinter Cell PC and Mission Pack for PC
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (PC) by
K-AngeL
Advantages: Looks great, addictive and great gameplay
Disadvantages: Didin't like running with anything else in the background
...Great game. I tried several first person stealth games and could not get along with not being able to see where I was in relation to my surrounding and enemies. Splinter cell is third person and as such is an immensely playable stealth game.
The game is very linear but there are often several ways to get to your destination and several ways to achieve your goal if you use your imagination. You can test yourself and try and play without killing anyone or even without knocking anyone out so even after you have completed it you can still play it again without it being boring. You can use as many or as few gadgets as you like (when you have them) and this again makes the replayability great.
It is truly addictive and I found myself drifting off into working out ways to get past enemies when I was falling asleep or just a bit bored...

Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow
Review of Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (Xbox) by
Drewdan
Advantages: Great Content Great Graphics
Disadvantages: Not Long Enough For Me!
...Splinter Cell is a game based on the storylines of Tom Clancy, I am a great fan of all Tom Clancy's works, I have read lots of his books and played on most of the games released with him name somewhere in the title!
Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow is the second in the Splinter Cell Series. You play as Sam Fisher, a covert operations agent working for the NSA (National Security Agency). Your day to day job is preventing World War 3 from breaking out…no pressure!
This is the in game profile for Sam Fisher:
Fisher has been on the front lines of espionage in several defining conflicts throughout the past decades. He has not only survives, but also excelled in the field of covert operations through hard work, insatiable curiosity, and brutal honesty. He has little time for polite niceties and even less for lies.
Though fully aware...

Splinter Cell - Way better than Metal Gear Solid
Review of Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (PS2) by
Cykomunki420
Advantages: Easy playability keeps you completely hooked
Disadvantages: Some levels alot harder than others
...This really is a great game which anyone with a PS2 should have. Its much better than any rival game including any Metal Gear Solid game.
You are Sam Fisher a secret operaitive for a very secret organisation (so secret the CIA dont know it exists!!!). It is one of these great games which has Pre game training so there is no need to sit and read the instruction booklet in detail before playing the game! The controls are very simple to use unlike MGS2 which i found compared to Splinter Cell just not as good. One of the features include an on screen light meter which tells you how exposed you are, so if you are in total darkness no one can see (even if they are right next to you!). There are different missions in each level and on some you are not able to kill anyone (like when infiltrating the CIA) so you must use stealth with your...

Very good
Review of Tom Clancy`s Splinter Cell (Xbox) by
Kimea
Advantages: read my op
Disadvantages: read my op
...In the skin of Sam Fischer, agent of the NSA, your missions of solitary wolf will push you to inquire into the terrorist networks threatening the Occident. No the doubt, the leg of the famous novelist Tom Clancy is quite palpable. In terms of pure action, the play proposes situations of an astonishing diversity. Taking of hostage, search for diplomatic information, draining of political conflicts, etc. Obviously, to arrive at your ends, you will be equipped still better than James Bond. You will have to thus compose with a pleiad of weapons and ultra-sophisticated gadgets (optical fibre, kit of diversion, vision of night, cardiac detector, spreadable cameras, Famas, etc). Equipped with a quite simply fabulous graphic engine of realism (effects of extraordinary light, impressive modeling), Splinter Cell impresses above all by the liberty...

Splinter cell chaos theory - review
Review of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (PS2) by
jimothyjim00
Advantages: A great stealth game
Disadvantages: 2 player mode is quite hard
...Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Chaos theory is a 3rd person stealth game. You play the role of Sam Fisher who is an NSA agent. This game can be picked up for varying prices but I got mine for £30.99 when it was first out. It was both developed and published by UBI soft and the game is a 16+. This game took me about 3 weeks to complete on the easiest mode and I would consider myself to be a little above average at gaming.
The Story
Sam Fisher is a NSA agent and he has to stop the outbreak of world war 3. He must go on numerous missions to take out certain people or simply to gather information. In his travels he must go to Asia, New York and many other countries and major cities. The story itself is told by listening to your team giving you the information, through what you discover as you read enemy emails and overhear...
