...Well, with the cold winter nights fast approaching us again (did they ever actually leave us!?) its time to stock my kitchen cupboards with warming, tasty treats, perfect for those cold, dark nights, and for me there is nothing more warming than a lovely hot bowl of Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup. ~The Soup Itself~ I have heard many people nowadays say this product isn't as good as it used to be, but as a child I was never keen on soups, so I really can't comment on if this is true or not. However, I can comment on what I think of this soup nowadays and i'm a big fan of it. Heinz Cream of Tomato soup is exactly what it says on the tin. It is a tomato flavoured soup with a subtle but tasty hint of cream added to it. The cream really adds a nice flavour to this soup but it in no way makes it taste sickly or fattening...

...Most of the products from Heinz we see nowadays over hundreds of years old and the tomato soup produced by them is no exception., as the soup first appeared in 1910, because of this I think Heinz have got this flavour of soup absolutely perfect! Tomato soup is one of the classic soups and I think it's properly one of the nations favourites as it's a soup most people enjoy. ...No matter what you do, or how good a cook you are, you cannot make tomato soup like Heinz does. No other brand of this tastes the same either. It is made to a special recipe that has been kept secret for many years. I am a self confessed tomato soup addict and I have tried supermarket own brands as well as other branded tomato soups. In my opinion nothing compares to this product. A 400 gram tin of this soup is enough for one large, or two reasonably sized servings. I usually eat a whole tin to myself. It is simple to prepare in the microwave, or in a pan on the cooker. The ring pull top even makes it easy to open.
