Advantages: Great Graphics for PS2

...I have been a fan of Tomb Raider ever since Lara Croft made her first debut in 'Tomb Raider: Featuring Lara Croft', but that was 10 years ago. 6 games later, Lara returns in her new adventure: Tomb Raider: Legend. Tomb Raider: Legend takes a new approach on Tomb Raider, and was developed by Crystal Dynamics (Best known for the Legacy of Kain series.) This is quite a major difference as all other Tomb Raider games were developed by Core Design, which Eidos decided to ditch after their last unsucessful Tomb Raider game 'Angel of Darkness.' Unfortunately, I believe that Crystal Dynamics did not fully understand Tomb Raider, and the spark and beauty of the old games dissapeared within this game. I cannot fault Crystal Dynamics on their graphics, they are beautiful and really add atmopshere to the game. This is specifically shown... Read review

Advantages: Excellent game with great gameplay, graphics and sound
Disadvantages: Still based on Tomb Raider Legends.

...Tomb Raider Anniversary is released by Eidos after the successful running of Tomb Raider Legend.I have played these games and personally, my experience was great.Indeed the Tomb Raider Annversary is a great game with immersive gameplay, extraordinary graphics and good stroyline. (Rating: 8/10) Gameplay: Tomb Raider Anniversary has an immersive gameplay giving its user full oppurtunities to explore the location with Lara Croft beautiful stunts.This game lets the player play the levels much more than before.Above all, its puzzles were all extraordinary with very logical and surprising solutions.Although gameplay mechanics follow its last title The Legends, even then its very interesting and all time great game. ...The Tomb Raider chronicle Its that time again, the middle of November, TOMB RAIDER MONTH. This time of year we have come to expect a release of the Tomb Raider series, but are they actually improving on it? Tomb Raider 1was originally, and in all cases an excellent game, everyone owned a copy it came out on all consoles, then Tomb Raider 2 came out. This was a better game, different story, new moves and better graphics. Lara now becomes very well known for here assets Then it all went wrong As Eidos began to cash in more and more on lara Tomb Raider 3 came out, which ran the franchise very thin. The usual Lara, somehow jumping about the planet at differing locations, and not doing any Tomb Raiding in the whole game, as the title may suggest. ...First of all I hope you find this review and the opinions in it very very very helpful! Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revalation is an excellent game, just like all of the tomb raider series. This is promised to be the last Tomb Raider game, and Eidos have taken Lara out in style. The graphics are smooth and brilliant and the gameplay is even betterm with the other 3 Tomb Raider games it was either action or puzzles, but this 4th adventure combines both which is great. I would recommend you buy this game, its excellent- but only if you have patience as it really requires it.... Read review

...Where do you begin with a Tomb Raider review? If you're reading this i'm fairly sure you will have played at least one Tomb Raider game before. I'm also fairly sure you'll agree with me when i say that the best Tomb Raider game was the first one. Was. Tomb Raider Legend is a cracking return to form for the series. The controls are now fully analogue, rather than turn 30 degrees to the right, run and jump and hold down X in the vain hope Lara will hit the platform you're aiming for. No, now lara moves where she is told fluidly and accurately. She moves a lot more like the Prince (of Persia fame) whcih is a very good thing. Elsewhere, the graphics have been tarted up a great deal with Lara especially looking fantastic. The areas are very sharp which is helpful as a lot of the game involves interacting directly with the enviroment... Read review

This game is very addictive and quite a challenge to complete. i have had it for a couple of months but am only on the 3rd Country! Take Lara back to the tombs in her most explosive adventure yet! using hi - tech gadgets, multiple weapons, such as grenades and various guns, and athletic moves help Lara solve puzzles and escape danger. In a race against time, Lara must unearth history's greatest weapon which is the legendary artefact which with its power could threaten the humanity's existence. ...Tomb Raider The Last Revelation is possibly the most difficult one out of the Tomb Raiders. The gameplay is as good as the other Tomb Raiders, if not, even better. The graphics and sound in this game are superb, just what you need in a game like this. The game does get a bit repeatitative at some points, but it is still a very good quality game. ...I don't think that tomb raider 4 is any better than tomb raider 3 which it is surpost to be. It is basicly the same, if you have completed one tomb raider you have completed them all. One thing that is better about is that the graphics are much better also the sound is better too. The only fun bit in the game is riding the vircles and that was it. I think that the age group is for anyone 13+. The game would be better if there was more things to kill like animals or something and also if it was more of an challange to get guns and to kill animals or what ever.... Read review

...It has been nearly 3 years since the last instalment to the Tomb Raider series, 'Angel of Darkness', which did not live up to its predecessors. However the latest game has taken action on the criticisms and 'Tomb Raider : Legend' has been made so that it is more similar to the original games with the reincarnation of big puzzles and the disappearance of things such as the grip metre, a big relief to Tomb Raider fans. The Game has been released on PC, PS2, Xbox and Xbox 360 (with a PSP release in May).
