...I really wanted to breast feed my baby and dutifully bought the breast pump so that I could express milk if for any reason I had to go out without my baby. Unfortunately I did not get on with breast feeding and had to revert to bottles, however I did try out the pump before i gave up to see if baby would take my milk from a bottle. As with the Tommee Tippee bottles, I bought this breast pump purely because it was on offer half price at Tesco which made it £12.49 rather than £24.99. WHATS IN THE BOX? Well, the breast pump comes in a sterilising box in which there is 1 5oz bottle, the breast pump handle, 2 valves, a breast cup shaped part, two bottle neck attachments, the bottle teat and lid, and also a flat lid to store in the fridge. I was told by so many sales assistants and other mothers to keep to Philips Avent steriliser as they have been around for so many years and know what they are doing, however I had read up so many good reviews about Tommee Tippee's own one, about how they are the new Avent. So i decided to take a risk and what a good choice this was. Now if you look at this piece of equipment you can see that it is really slim, light and easy to clean. It has three parts to it plus plug, starting from the bottom it has the base where the water goes in, only a small amount is needed (80ml, dont worry though as the bottles indicate this level). Tommee Tippee 'Closer to nature' bottles

Advantages: Easy to switch from bottle to breast, Easy to clean, Anti-colic teats

...I gave birth to twins earlier this year and was adamant that i wanted to try to breastfeed them, however i knew that with twins it was going to be difficult and that there were going to be some occasions where i may need to use a bottle. With this in mind i decided i needed a bottle which would enable my children to switch between the bottle and the breast with relative ease. I wanted to treat myself to something new and thought I would give this one a try. Swayed by the brand name and NEVER having any complaints for Tommee Tippee products previously, I looked forward to trying this new and innovative design. ...When I Bought the Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Steriliser my initial reaction was " What a bargin". I Bought it from Asda during a baby week promation for only £10. For my first baby I had used an electronic steriliser and found that it was rather bulky and always out on the work top, so I liked the idea of a microwaveable steriliser so that when it was not in use it coud be stored in the microwave, out of the way. I was very impressed with the Closer To Nature bottles and bottle brush included the the box, but in my opinion the steriliser its self was not up to the standard I was expecting. I have a standard size microwave and the steriliser only just fits in with a few millimeters of clearance either side, and as it expands when it heats up the lid touches the top. Well,basically it looks like a big plastic bowl with a lid. ...i bought tommee tippee closer to nature bottle when my son was born they are designed to make feeding time easier and more comfortable for you and your baby. There are 3 different ways in which you can hold the bottle, cradled in the hand, held lightly at the bottom of the base or held like a traditional wide neck bottle but i found holding it at the neck of the bottle easier when i was feeding. the bottles come with slow teats which is designed to mimic the natural flex, feel and movement of a mum's breast you can also get a medium flow teat and fast flow teats for these aswell as your baby gets older. they have designed this teat so that the transition from breast to bottle is easier as the baby is able to latch on to both in the same way. this bottles also has a teat with an anti colic valve on the side of the teat designed...

...With my first child i used the avent range of bottles and there accessories like the steraliser and breast pump and although i didnt realy have any major complaints with the quality of the bottles i did find them difficult to use for combined feeding with the teats on them being so different to a breast nipple my daughter soon began to prefer the bottles and would no longer latch properly to feed from me which unfortunately shortened the amount of time i could feed her myself Wholst looking around for a more suitable alternative with my next child i spotted the closer to nature range which is specially designed for mums who want to both breast feed and express milk for bottle feeding too. The botles are available in 150ml which are great for the first few weeks when baby is very small and not realy drinking a lot of milk in one...

Tommee Tippee milk dispensers are excellent

Advantages: Small enough to fit in bottle bag, allows you to take as many feeds as you need
Disadvantages: Wish they were slightly bigger, no good storing in bottle as they get wet

...I use the Tommee Tippee bottles, milk dispensers and bottle warmers. The dispensers are made so you put them in the bottle until you're ready to use them, unfortunately I find they get wet and the milk clumps together by doing this, however the bottle warmers are big enough to fit the bottle and milk dispenser in seperately. I find individual milk dispensers really good as you can take 1 feed without taking a massive tub full of other feeds that you dont actually need. My 4 month old is still on 6 oz so tubs are still great however fitting 7oz in will be very fiddly and they definitely wont hold any more than that. All in all I think they are great, just wish they were slightly bigger so I could fir 7oz in easily....
