Tommee Tippee 'Closer to nature' bottles
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles by
levin
Advantages: Easy to switch from bottle to breast, Easy to clean, Anti-colic teats
Disadvantages: Can't think of anything bad to say about these bottles
...I gave birth to twins earlier this year and was adamant that i wanted to try to breastfeed them, however i knew that with twins it was going to be difficult and that there were going to be some occasions where i may need to use a bottle. With this in mind i decided i needed a bottle which would enable my children to switch between the bottle and the breast with relative ease.
I was immediately drawn to the Tommee Tippee bottles because of their name 'Closer to nature'. The teat is actually designed to mimic the breast and to allow the baby to latch on as they would with a nipple. I did initially start to breastfeed my babies - but felt that they weren't getting enough milk and i had to top up with formula - i have to say, the Closer to Nature bottles were an absolute godsend. My babies were able to switch between the breast...

TOMMEE TIPPEE CLOSER TO NATURE MANUAL BREAST PUMP
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Freedom Breast Pump by
kismet
Advantages: easy to use, clean, store and transport
Disadvantages: didnt work for me
...I really wanted to breast feed my baby and dutifully bought the breast pump so that I could express milk if for any reason I had to go out without my baby. Unfortunately I did not get on with breast feeding and had to revert to bottles, however I did try out the pump before i gave up to see if baby would take my milk from a bottle.
As with the Tommee Tippee bottles, I bought this breast pump purely because it was on offer half price at Tesco which made it £12.49 rather than £24.99.
WHATS IN THE BOX?
Well, the breast pump comes in a sterilising box in which there is 1 5oz bottle, the breast pump handle, 2 valves, a breast cup shaped part, two bottle neck attachments, the bottle teat and lid, and also a flat lid to store in the fridge. It also came with a breast feeding guide booklet, instructions on how to assemble the pump...

tommee tippee closer to nature bottles
Review of Tommee Tippee Feeding Bottle by
zoey18822
Advantages: anti colic
Disadvantages: none
...i bought tommee tippee closer to nature bottle when my son was born they are designed to make feeding time easier and more comfortable for you and your baby. There are 3 different ways in which you can hold the bottle, cradled in the hand, held lightly at the bottom of the base or held like a traditional wide neck bottle but i found holding it at the neck of the bottle easier when i was feeding. the bottles come with slow teats which is designed to mimic the natural flex, feel and movement of a mum's breast you can also get a medium flow teat and fast flow teats for these aswell as your baby gets older. they have designed this teat so that the transition from breast to bottle is easier as the baby is able to latch on to both in the same way. this bottles also has a teat with an anti colic valve on the side of the teat designed...

Tommee Tippee Breast Pads
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Freedom Breast Pads by
Lynso
Advantages: No more wet patches, wear your pad with pride !!!!!
Disadvantages: None, l wouldn't use any other.
...Picture this, you've just had a baby, your tired, sore, emotional, your boob's feel like water melons and your walking around with two huge wet patches on your chest because your leeking like a tap. If your anything like me, it always happens just as you step out of the car before the big supermarket shop. You then have to endure the sympathetic stares from countless women who have all been in exactley the same shoes.
I tried out a number of different products but have found that the one that beats them all is Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Freedom Breast Pads. They are perfectly shaped, and fill the whole of the inside of the bra, which from past experience on alternative brands isn't always the case. There's a fantastic plasticy backing and a self-adhesive sticker to firmly attach the pad to the bra.
What the box says...

TOMMEE TIPPEE CTN MICROWAVE STERILISER
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Microwave Steam & Cold Water Steriliser by
kismet
Advantages: easy to use, clean and transport
Disadvantages: more hassle than a steam one
...Although I intended to breastfeed I did not get on with it, however I had already purchased this microwave steriliser to use with expressing equipment. I bought this Tommee Tippee one mainly because it was on offer at Tesco, it was £9.99 instead of £19.99 and came with 3 free bottles and a bottle brush, worth £18 allegedly.
WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE?
Well, basically it looks like a big plastic bowl with a lid. It holds 4 Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles, or 6 normal bottles and will sterilise in the microwave in just 4 minutes and bottles can be used 5 minutes later
It has a hinged lid, which means that condensation runs back inside the bowl and for safety the lid is lockable . The lid also converts into a sterile surface for hygienic bottle preparation which is great.
It can also be used as a cold water steriliser...

Tippee the water down the sink not on the floor
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature Microwve Steam and Cold Water Steriliser by
ang_2906
Advantages: two sterlizing facilities, quick
Disadvantages: only small bottles fit
....
*****
As I mentioned the unit came complete with three bottles. I didn't go out and buy the same bottles to make up the rest of what I needed, and actually ended up with a variety. Tommee Tippee Closer to nature bottles are of the shorter compact size, which fits well into the sterilizer. I also had a couple of standard sized bottles from Boots. As I looked at the size difference I wondered how they were going to fit in my sterilizer. They didn't! Typical, I had wasted money on something I probably couldn't use. However I couldn't buy a bigger sterilizer as I realized it wouldn't fit in my microwave. The sterlizing unit holds up to four smaller sized bottles.
The moral of that paragraph is don't do what I did and just bought the bottles without checking first, as I have since had to buy smaller sized bottles as well to make the rest up...

How Close To Nature?
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles by
newby2
Advantages: Cheaper than Avent
Disadvantages: But not as good as avent
...Tommee Tippee Closer to nature Bottles
The moment I saw these bottles I thought that they looked really smart and as I had an Amazon voucher to spend I thought I would invest in a couple and see how they faired compared to the more widely used baby bottles made by Avent. I already had a few Avent bottles given to me from a friend and I just had to buy some new teats for them so comparing the two was easy.
I paid around £10 for three of these Tommee Tippee bottles that hold 260ml and that price includes the postage and packaging costs, minus that it would have cost around £8. Now this compared to Avent is probably slightly cheaper as I have recent bought some of my own large Avent Bottles and I paid £15 for four from Boots, so buying Avent it works out a little more expensive.
These Tommee Tippee bottles are called...

Natural nipples are a hit with babies
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles by
candylamour
Advantages: Less Colic; Natural feel and action
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...As parents of twins and currently bottle feeding, believe you me, we know a thing or two about bottle-feeding. Every evening we make up 16 bottles to last us through 24 hours and our bottle of choice is the Tommee Tippee 'Closer to Nature'.
'Closer to Nature' bottles come in 2 different sizes, the very dinky 150ml and the 260ml. The bottles have a very distinct shape, quite squat and ergonomically shaped to allow them to fit comfortably into the hand and with wide necks to allow easy cleaning and filling. The bottles are clearly labelled and graduated in ml and fluid oz's. For those of us using the Tommee Tippee Steam Steriliser there is also a dotted line graduation at 80ml, the amount of water used for every sterilisation. (You can sterilise 4 of the bottles in every sterilisation cycle).
Now what sets these bottles apart...

Definitely the closest to natural!
Review of Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles by
rustycat777
Advantages: Works as an imitation boobie!
Disadvantages: Don't waste money on the smaller size!
...I never thought about needing bottles when I began breast feeding...boy was I wrong! Along with the Tommee Tippee freedom breast pump, they have made breast feeding so much easier.
When I started shopping for bottles, I had now clue, so many brands all stating anti colic, natural, blah, blah, blah! I chose closer to nature ones purely for the name and I'm so glad I did.
They work like an artificial boobie, in look and how the baby has to work at it to release the milk. The wide neck design imitates the size of the breast and encourages the baby to take a 'mouthful' like the real thing. This stops teat/nipple confusion and I genuinely feel my baby has no problem going from one to the other. The teat is so flexible like a nipple that she has no problem pushing it out when she has had enough.
They are easy to clean...

TOMMEE TIPPEE 6 COMPACT MILK POWDER DISPENSERS
Review of Tommee Tippee Milk Powder Dispenser by
kismet
Advantages: simple to use, space saving
Disadvantages: dont really hold 8 scoops
...I have just had my first baby and despite trying my hardest to breast feed I have just not got on with it so had to purchase all the bottles and things to enable me to feed at home and also whilst out and about.
I purchased Tommee Tippee Closer To Nature bottles purely because they were on sale half price at Tesco. However I have been very happy with them. They are quite a strange shape, being very wide, but they are easy to hold and baby loves to drink from them as the teat is very soft.
Every body keeps telling me to make up feeds in advance and store in the fridge and heat them up, however, "current guidelines" state that this increases the risk of bacteria in the milk. So I have been looking at the best way of feeding my baby when out for the day.
I purchased these milk powder dispensers as they fit neatly into the Tommee...
