The 'advanced planning' also allows one to browse a map of the route before the journey begins and the image viewer and mp3 player can keep one entertained on the jourmeys. The passenger can also operate the device using the bluetooth remote. The traffic receiver, with lifetime subscription to traffic updates, is useful. An FM transmitter is also featured, which can be used to broadcast music to the car stereo. Maps of europe, USA and Canada are fantastic for going abroad. The fast processor means that if you deviate from the prefixed route, an alternative route is calculated straight away. The experience ***************** Earlier, driving to some place meant that we had to do some prior research about the route to take. Then during the journey, with my husband driving, I had to play the role of the navigator, keeping the map book open, keeping a track of where we are and which route we need to take. Even when you have actually downloaded driving route instructions from a site and printed them out, what use are they if you take one wrong turn? All these hassles actually took the fun out of driving. But after buying the TomTom One, all we need to do is get the postcode of the place we need to get to, key it into the TomTom and we are ready to go. ...The TOMTOM GO 920T is an essential for people who travel both short distances and long distances in the car. I paid £353 for this beauty. I'm usually very wary, on what Im purchasing if its in the hundreds range as I want a good quality product if im going to splash out. I feel very safe buying tomtom product however as it has a very good reputation efficient navigation devices. And the GO 920T is no exception. What I love about this perticular tomtom is the 4.3" widescreen which helps improve what you are seeing and also i dont struggle to type the destination i am wanting to go to. Although TomTom website help looks great ,there are a number of minor but relevant questions not answered, so you have to go through their process and email and keep your fingers crossed they reply and to date they have. Only 1 year warranty now, used to be two on previous products so lets hope it stays robust. Paid £256 via "TheLink" with free by 1pm next day delivery, it turned up on time. Im sure the price will drop now Ive bought one. Go ahead and buy one..it works well and I cant imagine the problem with WOLFIE665 machine as it sounds unfortunate so I have to assume he was very ,very unlucky or something else occurred which is a shame... ...As you have probley guest this is my second review of the tomtom go satalite navigation system after owning the tomtom go classic for about a year I was foolish enough to leave mine in my car for five seconds as I popped into work not knowing that the light fingered brigade had spotted my beloved tomtom go classic through my blacked out privacy glass in my mg and before I knew it I had a broken drivers side window and my tomtom had gone. After getting my car fixed and numerous interviews with the police I found out I had acouple of weeks insurance provided buy currys still valid so I got in touch with currys for a claim form which they rushed to me after sending it off I had to wait a couple of weeks for a reply . During those couple of weeks of waiting I realised that the tomtom was the best purchase I had ever made and I was lost... Read review

...need to do is slide the TomTom on the mount by using what can only be described as a slot. The main reason you get satellite navigation is for directions so I'll talk about that first. Once you turn the machine on and your current position is found (which takes no more than about 15 seconds from pressing the on button to your position being found) then you need to put in your destination. This can either be done by putting in the postcode or manually finding the street. Once you do this the TomTom will calculate your route and confirm it to you. Once this is done then you are up and ready to go. It's as simple as that. As you travel it also gives out information via the speaker such as an upcoming turn or a speed camera ahead. This information is very useful and gives you plenty of warning of what to do. It will tell you when you need... Read review
