...I purchased this Tom Tom Navigator 5 for approx 200 GBP two months back. I am an IT Consultant and am required to go to different client's sites at different locations. At first I used to print out the directions from mapquest or theaa.com and then try to follow these, but always I used to lose or miss out in between and land up searching again. ...Having only had my Tomtom one for a short time I now wonder how I got on without it!! There is very little to dislike about the product, in fact my only piece of advice is don't ditch the A-Z just yet as the navigation is not 100% accurate, however this is something common to all GPS not just Tomtom. In general it will navigate me within sight of where I want to be, even if it doesn't get me to the doorstep. On the plus side, the Tomtom has a clear screen showing easy to follow directions. You can also change it to night colours if you find the brightness too distracting. You can also set the map to switch off when driving at top speeds, and just rely on the voice if you are worried about distractions. The voice is very loud, which means you can hear it when driving a top speeds even with the radio on. The functions are easy... Read review

...OK, you've just bought your TomTom GPS system and stupidly left it in your car to be stolen faster than a blink of an eye. OK, that’s just my stupidity, but after replacing my unit I decided that to ensure it was easy to carry around and would act as a subtle reminder I would buy a carry case. Looking around for the right one is a bit of a mission as there are so many different types available. In the end I opted for the carry case shown at the top of the screen mainly because it looked slightly different, wasn't made from durable plastic and was only £25. Every other carry case I had seen was like a box, not too dissimilar to the case provided for face units of car audio equipment and as I already have to carry this around with me, I didn't like the idea of a briefcase packed full of plastic, instead I was drawn by the idea... ...of this idea however, is the fact that it would be a visual target for muggers, I suppose you can't win them all. The RRP is a whopping £19.99, although it is good quality, I suspect it is not actually worth this, and you can buy cheaper on the t'internet. . You have several other cheaper alternatives, you could go for a non brand name, or you could support your local charity shop and buy an old camera case - I am perfectly serious, you would have more choice of styles and colours, and you girls could co-ordinate your outfit with a choice of "designer" named camera cases. OR you could buy one from Tomtom, using vouchers. These are given away free with Tomtoms, and can be used to purchase any accessory, including cases. You will find that most vouchers are thrown away, or appear on ebay for 99p, most not even getting a single bid, so for a couple... Read review
