TomTom is Number ONE
Review of TomTom ONE V2 Regional Great Britain by

Advantages: reliability easy to use
Disadvantages: large software files
...**TomTom ONE V2 Regional** >>>AWARD WINNER<<<
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By being a gadgetty sort of person, I have been lured into the world of GPS well since the end of last year. The fact that this GPS system can save you time really appealed especially when good time management can make you lifestyle less stressful. It is very true that by having an effective GPS system in your car does all of above.
The TomTom ONE V2 Regional (UK) has been awarded in coolest brands log 2006-2007. Not a big surprise as the Christmas retail price was very well received at £199.99. Along with affordable pricing structure and a excellent selling product, this version is the most sought after Sat Nav system that is appealling and is efficient and graphically delightful. Personally, I will agree...

TomTom's great at hide and seek
Review of TomTom ONE V2 Regional Great Britain by
tgrimstock
Advantages: a safe way to drive
Disadvantages: more attractive to car theft crime
...travels on average 187 miles further each year than is required. It is a brilliant way to save money and I can already see the benefits.
Overall, the TomTom ticks a lot of the boxes, even the green ones....Of course it will save you carbon tax fees in a few years time.
I appreciate your time reading this review....

Tom Tom One is Inexpensive Sattelite navigator
Review of TomTom ONE V2 Regional Great Britain by
ma_siddiqui
Advantages: Touch screen, Easy to use/install
Disadvantages: Has some bugs in map and direction, Low battery life
...I bought the TomTom One some eight months ago. I had some experience of using a navigation system as my previous car had one built in and I became quite dependent on it.
Cost
I had bought a new Audi A4 sometime in 2003 and remember paying around 1000 Pounds extra for the built in sat nav system. It was a bad decision and would recommend you not to make the same mistake.
But for my recent car, I was determined to do the research and then buy a Sat nav system, so I spent few days going around all the shops and searching the net to compare different Sat nav products and prices. I finally settled on the TomTom One because I personally found it to be the best value for money out there at the time. I ended up paying only £220 fron Dixons web offer. But presently it can be bought for less then 170 Pounds.
Reasons to buy
1. Easy...

The Oh-Mighty Tom-Tom!!!
Review of TomTom ONE V2 Regional Great Britain by
Wee_lis27
Advantages: Care free journeys (long distance or new places) No more traffic jams!
Disadvantages: Desirable to thiefs and does need to be charge!
...We got this amazing peice of equipment last year before we set off for our holiday in France.
***My Story***
Unlike every single trip to France for the past 6 years, this one was care free and relaxed! No more fights between the parents about directions or asking how long it was until we got there from the kids (as it could be seen from the back seat and says in days, hours, minutes and seconds how long until you reach your destination)!
After driving through the whole of Scotland, England and onto the ferry, we parked for 5 mins and changed the memory card to France... that simple and then we were back on the road. Once we were there the TomTom still got so much use: for day trips, directions to the beach or supermarket or even to remember your way back to your hotel/campsite after a day out. TomTom never failed to impress...

TomTom One… It will change your life
Review of TomTom ONE Great Britain by
supreah
Advantages: Excellent navigation and GPS reception, portable, good value for money
Disadvantages: Poorly located charging indicator LED
...I don't know too much about in-car satellite navigation systems (satnavs, as they call them) and it's not that I have used a number of devices so that I can compare the pros and cons of one against the other. But, I am a very satisfied user of TomTom One and would definitely recommend it to any potential buyer. We bought the TomTom One about 4 months ago and to date, it hasn't given us a chance to regret our decision.
The TomTom One is one of the numerous entry-level satnavs in the market, but does not disappoint with its loads of features and reasonable price (We bought ours in Aug 2006 for £199). It has become very popular in the market. There are, of course, other companies which offer entry-level devices at a much lower price, but I can say from my and my friends' limited experience, TomTom devices are way ahead in terms...

The Real Tomtom ONE V3 GB Review
Review of TomTom ONE XL United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland by
NickUK
Advantages: Great features, Price
Disadvantages: None - Maybe battery life, restricted internal memory
...Tomtom Sat Nav? You want to read about its useful features and not the gimmicks. What's worth having and what's not? The difference between the Tomtom V2 and V3.
Now I'm no expert, to be honest I was a first time buyer on a budget and only previously had experience of a friends Navman F20 before buying my own tomtom 10 days ago.
I set out as you are probably doing now reading all the reviews on different makes and finding people talking more about battery life and suction ability rather than what it can actually do.
Step one, it eventually hit me that the only way to avoid disappointment and really find out its full features is to go to the manufacturers website and download there product manual if its available.
Four real must have features I would say on any Sat Nav worth having are:
* Map scrolling, where you can use...

TomTom One 3rd Edition
Review of TomTom ONE 3rd Edition by
martin0201
Advantages: Easy to use, great additional features
Disadvantages: Slightly slower than other models on satellite detection
... TomTom One 3rd Edition
Background
TomTom have long been the leading name in Car Navigation Systems. For this reason, they are often not the cheapest, but are definitely the most reliable and have the best features. The TomTom One is the original version, therefore the simplest, yet the 3rd edition has many of the features of the newer Car Navigation Systems.
Price and Packaging
My TomTom One was bought as a Christmas gift for £122 from the website Pixmania. As already said, you can get cheaper models but the TomTom has the best features. The packaging is simple, a square box with the instruction booklets in the bottom, the accessories (windscreen affixer, USB cable and in car charger) on top of the booklets and the TomTom itself in a plastic case sitting at the top.
Setup
The TomTom One 3rd Edition...

I bought this Tom Tom as every time I have to go somewhere that I'm not familiar with I get lost!
It cost me £299, which is a lot of money, but as it has the speed camera's on it, it helps me keep a clean licence, so to me its well worth the money. You can get them cheaper if you don't want the camera's on it, but as this was a treat to me I...

TomTom thumbs up!
Review of TomTom ONE XL Regional by
chugglebunny
Advantages: Easy to use, lots of options
Disadvantages: Needs to be updated monthly
...I brought this as a gift for my mother last christmas as she doesn't often drive to far and, like me, is slightly geographically challenged
Purchase and Price
---------------------------
I brought the tom tom from Tesco, at the time I had a voucher for £50 off voucher which made it only £99 in price, very reasonable I feel for a sat nav.
I did have quite a few problems with the ordering and collection of item, but thats a whole other Tesco review!
The XL One comes in a pack with a small black pouch case, which is fastened by velcro, a mains charger, an in car charge (to be plugged into the lighter switch in the car) and the holder/stand that suctions the Sat Nav to the wind screen. Also Included in the price was a £10 online redeemable voucher, which can be used to purchase a different case or celebrity voice overs for those...
