Tomy freestyle baby carrier with 2 positions.
Review of Tomy Freestyle baby carrier by
snaketracer
Advantages: You can carry your baby facing you or facing outwards in total comfort.
Disadvantages: None that I can think of.
...I bought one of these for my first baby, it was a god send, you can carry your baby in 2 positions - facing you or facing outwards.
I found facing them towards you when they are small is better as they cant see much from birth anyway. As they get older they can see better so changing the position means they can see where they are going.
I also used it with my second baby which helped me a lot as I didn't have to push around a double buggy, I had the baby in the carrier and my other daughter in a single pushchair, great for looking around shops.
The material inside is like a fleece, it is so soft and snug, it still feels like this now after lots of washes. (machine washable).
It also has a storage pocket and a dummy holder which is great for when your baby spits out the dummy!
It can fold out flat so you can put your baby...

A good looking carrier that Daddies will wear!
Review of Tomy Freestyle baby carrier by
Wackywaith
Advantages: Soft fabric, comfortable for baby, looks sporty
Disadvantages: Can be fiddly getting baby in and out
...We bought the Tomy Freestyle for use with our first child two years ago. It's a front carrier that takes a baby from birth to around 9 months. It cost me around £30 from Mothercare.
We chose this carrier because the fabric was so soft inside and on the outside it was quite plain, yet had a sporty look to it. My husband said it was the most masculine of the carriers available which was a big plus for him.
It has two wide shoulder straps which cross over the wearer's back and a wide back support that goes around your waist. The whole front folds down to get baby in and out although we both find it hard to get the clips back through their respective holes to secure it.
There is a part at the front which folds up and down to support babies head which is particularly useful for newborns or if baby falls asleep.
Baby can face...

Stretch Limo for babies
Review of Tomy Zanzibar Carrier by
molelover
Advantages: Baby feels secure, leaves you hands free
Disadvantages: difficult to get on and off until you get used to it, no buggy tray for the shopping!
...!
I chose the Tomy Zanzibar because it seemed like a versatile option and it looked really plush and comfortable for baby. You can carry baby three ways - baby facing you (great for small babies, and just like a mobile cuddle for mums), baby facing out (for slightly nosier, older babies who like to see what is going on) or piggy back (fun for babies and Dads!).
The Zanzibar comes in cream and coffee colours, which isn't everyone's cup of tea, but colour wasn't really my main priority. This is not the trendiest sling on the market, but then that wasn't my main priority either. After all Leah is just like her mother and doesn't give two hoots about fashion - she only really cares about milk, sleep, and cuddles, and with any luck it might stay like that for a while!
It looks like a very comfortable, cosy sling, which is another reason I...

Tomy Happy Shape = Happy Kids
Review of Tomy Happy Shape by
star333
Advantages: Great shape sorter & design.
Disadvantages: None.
...~*~*~*~TOMY HAPPY SHAPE~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*WHAT DOE'S IT LOOK LIKE~*~*~*~*
The shape sorter is constructed in an innovative U-Shape Curved Pipe design with 2 openings.
One end is Shape Sorter and the other end is a Giant Feely Box. There is a "foot" so that the U can be turned in either direction.
As far as shape sorters go, Tomy Happy Shapes is selective, containing just 3 shapes, no more no less. Its back to the basics: circle, triangle, and square. Unlike the Tupperware Shape-O-Toy and Vtech Sort 'n Go car which include other "fancier" shapes, such as a Star, Heart, etc, Tomy Happy Shapes sticks with the Basic 3. Any more than that and its confusing, overwhelming, and advanced. While these other more inclusive Shape Sorters are fun and educational toys as well, they are not for the beginner. If you are looking...

Tomy happy, so am I!
Review of Tomy Happy Shape by
funkyjo
Advantages: Great for learning.
Disadvantages: None.
...Tomy Happy Shape.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What is tomy happy shape?
Tomy happy shape is otherwise known as a shape sorter, you must remember these from when you were a wee one.
There are many shape sorters around these days, some more complicated than others.
The tomy happy shape is a very simple one and great as a babys first shape sorter.
The tomy happy shape looks like the u-bend section in a pipe, with a small tube as the base (see photos) and is yellow in colour. At one end of the pipe is a purple cap / lid which has 3 shapes cut into it, circle, square and triangle. At the other end of the pipe is a green cap / lid, under this cap is a thin sheet of rubber which has been cut in a way so that you can push your hand through into the pipe to re...
Get your life back without hiring a nanny
Review of Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier by
sparkynurse
Advantages: Gives you free hands, easy to master
Disadvantages: Exposes baby's legs
...I do not know how people survive without a carrier. I’ve got three children and it has been an integral piece of equipment with each of them.
However don’t make the mistakes I did – I started off with a cheap mothercare carrier with thin straps that didn’t support my back, and then a tomy carrier where the baby could only face inwards. After breaking the plastic clip, I finally came to my senses and bought the carrier I wanted all along (and would have saved a fair bit if I’d done so!). Now my Baby Bjorn carrier is 4 years 7 months old and still going strong. My sister in law used it too with my nephew. That has given it a cost £10.50 per child – not bad really (I think new BBs sell for around £45)
The carrier consists of two parts, first a wide-strapped harness that you put on first. The width of the straps helps distribute...
Does your cat go Postal at the sight of a Carrier
Review of Members Advice on Cat Carriers by
Tamara99
Advantages: Cats love small enclosed spaces....
Disadvantages: ....but only until they realize they can't get out.
...Before you run out and buy a carrier, here are three things to know about your cat:
1) How big is your cat?
Adults cats range from 4lbs to 30lbs, from the size of a softball to that of a mutant cocker spaniel. If you're not certain, (and Catilla the Hun refuses to get on the scale) here are some guidelines: The average cat weighs between 9-12lbs. Most "big" cats are 15-18lbs. The lithe ones skipping through the Friskies commercials are about 11 lbs. Morris on the other hand is around 17.
If you're still not sure and don't want to guesstimate, get on the scale with the cat firmly in hand and see how much you weigh together. Then release the cat, patch up the wounds on your arms and get back on the scale.
2) How does your cat react to being confined?
Once upon a time I was blessed with The Bondage Kitty. I'm serious...
Be happy, be stacky, be Tomy.
Review of Tomy Happy Stack by
funkyjo
Advantages: Strong, durable, colourful.
Disadvantages: None.
...Tomy Happy Stack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yet another great toy by tomy.
What is the tomy happy stack.
Now im sure you all know what a toy stack is, however the tomy happy stack is slightly different from the one I used to play with. The one I used to have was a platform with a pole in the middle and you used to place the different size rings on top of each other.
However the tomy happy stack these days consists of a purple base, a blue and white ball with a happy face and 5 stacking rings that dont have holes in them, on the underside of the ring is a hollow ball shape hole and on the top is a ball, see my pictures if you dont understand what im talking about. The rings are all different colours, turquoise, green, yellow, orange and pink and all have...

Example Carrier Oils for Use In Aromatherapy
Review of Carrier Oils by
Shekera
Advantages: Carrier Oils are available in different types and price ranges.
Disadvantages: Need to be kept in a dark place as can go rancid - shelf life can vary according to the oil's properties.
...Carrier oils for use in Aromatherapy are also referred to as Massage Oil Bases, or Vegetable Base Oils as they are obtained from vegetable, nuts or seeds and many have therapeutic properties and can be chosen according to the symptoms being treated. Carrier oils are used to dilute the concentrated essential oils making them safe to use on the skin.
Carrier Oils should always be purchased and stored in dark glass bottles as over time, they can go rancid, unless they contain natural vitamin E as this acts as a natural preservative.
There are many different carrier oils available on the market today; some of the more popular and affordable ones are listed below:
Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus Armeniaca)
------------------------------------
Apricot Kernel oil is very rich and nourishing, making it ideal for all skin types, being...

the best baby carrier ever!
Review of Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier by
olgita
Advantages: comfortable easy to use
Disadvantages: none
...After becoming pregnant i was given this baby carrier in a horrible gree colour. "i will never use this" i said to my partner. oh how wrong i was. bjorn baby carrier is one of the most comfortable and easy to use baby carriers ever! it comprises of 2 attachable parts. the actual carrier and the straps. the two are connected by clipping the carrier in at the bottom of the harness and also at the sides. the bottom of the harness has a large strap which can be pulled tight when using it for a small baby. and adjusted very easily as baby grows.
it is very easy to strap baby in as unlike some carriers does not fasten from front or back but from the sides which makes it very easy to use aone.
the baby is very comfortable and snugg in this carrier and because the carrier has only one side whichever the adult is wearing it the baby...
