Tomy Happy Shape = Happy Kids
Review of Tomy Happy Shape by
star333
Advantages: Great shape sorter & design.
Disadvantages: None.
...~*~*~*~TOMY HAPPY SHAPE~*~*~*~*
*~*~*~*WHAT DOE'S IT LOOK LIKE~*~*~*~*
The shape sorter is constructed in an innovative U-Shape Curved Pipe design with 2 openings.
One end is Shape Sorter and the other end is a Giant Feely Box. There is a "foot" so that the U can be turned in either direction.
As far as shape sorters go, Tomy Happy Shapes is selective, containing just 3 shapes, no more no less. Its back to the basics: circle, triangle, and square. Unlike the Tupperware Shape-O-Toy and Vtech Sort 'n Go car which include other "fancier" shapes, such as a Star, Heart, etc, Tomy Happy Shapes sticks with the Basic 3. Any more than that and its confusing, overwhelming, and advanced. While these other more inclusive Shape Sorters are fun and educational toys as well, they are not for the beginner. If you are looking...

Be happy, be stacky, be Tomy.
Review of Tomy Happy Stack by
funkyjo
Advantages: Strong, durable, colourful.
Disadvantages: None.
...Tomy Happy Stack.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yet another great toy by tomy.
What is the tomy happy stack.
Now im sure you all know what a toy stack is, however the tomy happy stack is slightly different from the one I used to play with. The one I used to have was a platform with a pole in the middle and you used to place the different size rings on top of each other.
However the tomy happy stack these days consists of a purple base, a blue and white ball with a happy face and 5 stacking rings that dont have holes in them, on the underside of the ring is a hollow ball shape hole and on the top is a ball, see my pictures if you dont understand what im talking about. The rings are all different colours, turquoise, green, yellow, orange and pink and all have...
TOYS GALORE
Review of Toys R Us (Shop) by
begum
Advantages: GOOD STORE
Disadvantages: COST
...A store kids love and one that adults don’t mind go in themselves. It’s packed full of colourful and wonderful toys, ranging from things from battery operated toys to dolls, to trucks to the latest toy out.
You’ll find all your Pokemon characters and lots more…….
I can spend loads of time in this shop and although, the prices are quite expensive, the only consolation is that the likes of ‘Tomy’ toys are well worth purchasing and can be fairly education as well.
The best toys are the interactive ones, ones which speak to the child or speak out a loud when you press a number.
The stores are big, and neatly arranged it’s like a supermarket without food but with toys galore, children’s heaven a parents nightmare.
They have such a good range of toys, from small to huge...
Educational and fun
Review of Tomy Alto Books [TV Advertisement] by
Questy
Advantages: Fun, Educational.
Disadvantages: Batteries
...I bought a Tomy Alto for my son who is 3 years old. As he is about to start school I thought he needed a bit of a boost. The Alto Books not only teach the basics such as colours and numbers but also encourage the child to try and write the words in a basic form. I have often purchased other electrical toys to teach the basics but I have often found only the music was played on them.The thing that drew me to this product was the use of a pen. The child is encouraged to touch various colours, shapes etc with the pen and when they do correctly they are praised. Also they encouraged to trace various letters and numbers.There are a a variety of books avaliable and also interactive jigsaws. I found this to be one of my better choices of educational toys as it is more fun than work and something you can do together. I would recomend...
Tomy happy, so am I!
Review of Tomy Happy Shape by
funkyjo
Advantages: Great for learning.
Disadvantages: None.
...-claim your shapes.
With the tomy happy shape you get 4 of each shape, now the shapes themselves are actually 3 dimensional, so rather than a triangle we have a pyramid, instead of a square we have a cube and instead of a circle we have a ball.
The shapes each have their own colour, pyramids are pink, cubes are blue and balls are white. One of the balls has a happy face printed onto it.
Time to play.
''
This shape sorter is great for children at the younger end of the scale, for the simple reason that the shapes are quite large (compared to some) and are easy to pick up with little hands.
Now when my little one has finished playing with this toy I always make sure that the shapes are inside the toy, 1 so that she doesnt lose them and 2 so that next time she has this toy out she has to put her hands...
Tomy Multi-Gym Walker - Great Multifunctional Toy
Review of Tomy Multi-Gym Walker by
priorite
Advantages: Sturdy, Bright, Multifunctional
Disadvantages: None
...Okay so my 1st Ciao product review – so go easy on me!
When my son was a couple of months old I started looking round for a baby-gym.
I wanted something that had a little more than the seemingly standard pastel soft toys on and this seemed to fit the bill.
Quite a few places stocked it for £17.99 but then I saw it on offer for £12.99 in Woolworths and couldn’t resist.
However, I haven’t seen it for a while and am unsure if it has been discontinued in favour of the ‘next-stage’ multi-product.
The product is advertised as a 6-1 toy, however the main uses are as a baby-gym and a walker – the other uses are just a bit of a gimmick really.
On opening the box the baby-gym was self-assembly, but this doesn’t require any special tools and is very straightforward – taking only a few minutes.
As a baby-gym it is a very good toy...
Two toys in one!
Review of Tomy Toddle 'n' ride by
Ann-Marie_B
Advantages: Converts from a walker to a trike
Disadvantages: None
...I recently purchased the Tomy Toddle n Ride for my son. The guidelines state that it is suitable from 12 months onward, however with similar products stating a guideline age of 10 months onward, I decided to let him experiment with it under supervision.
The Tomy Toddle n Ride is currently available from Amazon at £34.99, however I bought this item at just £14.99 direct from Tomy's website (www.tomy.co.uk), saving £20! The description on Tomy's website states that the low price is due to slightly damaged packaging although the product itself is in perfect condition. When mine arrived however the packaging was in fact intact, as was the item.
The Tomy Toddle n Ride begins as a push along walker. It has a squeaking horn at the top and an easy to grip handle bar. The wheels are spaced a good distance apart to give the baby plenty...
Its an attractive toy - excuse the pun!
Review of Tomy Megasketcher by
carebare
Advantages: Saves paper, encourages creativity
Disadvantages: see op
...Last christmas both of my older children received one of these toys from their Nanna. She had been pestering me for ages asking what she should get them and rapidly running out of ideas I said "Oh just get them some drawing stuff, they love that kind of thing". Come Christmas morning I was expecting to find yet another set of felt tip pens, that get everywhere and dry up after a day or so without the lid on, and a couple of colouring books for them to scribble all over. I was pleasantly surprised when they opened these.
The Tomy Megasketcher is what I can only describe as a large rectangle shape with a "screen" a pen and some shapes. Well in fact that is putting this toy down greatly. The concept behind this toy is that the child uses the pen and shapes on the screen to create pictures. The way that this is done is by magnets...
An egg-citing little toy!
Review of Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak Eggs by
kingfisher111
Advantages: versatile yet inexpensive
Disadvantages: none!
...This is a very simple but effective toy and both my daughters have delighted in the contents of this yellow egg box from a very early age.
So, what are Tomy Hide 'n' Squeak eggs? Well, they're certainly not edible, although my youngest has definitely tried to eat one, as she is still going through the 'put everything in your mouth' phase! They are actually a set of six plastic eggs that come in their own realistic egg box. These eggs come already cracked though, and when you remove their heads, inside are different brightly coloured eggs with happy smiley faces! The eggs in our box are in three different colours - yellow, purple and blue. In some ways it seems a shame that there are not six different colours, but with two of each, you can try to get your child to match the same colours.
At the base of each egg is a shape...
Making a splash?
Review of Tomy Thomas The Tank Engine Bath Island by
piggypine
Advantages: Entertaining for the kids
Disadvantages: Could be more challenge for them
...'s always good to see him master a toy and in some way educate himself as to how all these water systems work.
As I mentioned earlier there is not a lot of assembly that goes into the toy, all you need to do is attach the ramp, unfortunately it's ease of assembly is mirrored by is ease of disassembly and I find myself regularly being called to the bathroom because it's come apart again. I also find it difficult to keep the island attached to the bath with the suckers and more often then not admit defeat and just let him sit in the bath with the island on his lap, this actually ends up saving me mess though as there's a lot of water spillage which would be fine if your bath is against the wall and perfectly sealed, however ours isn't and the water ends up all over the floor.
The toys itself is quite tough and has stood up well to the abuse...
