At last, a toner that works.

Advantages: Body Shop, doubles up as make up remover, hydrating.

...Boots expert sensitive toner I like the Boots expert range and find they suit my skin and cause no nasty reactions, so when this was on special offer at half price I naturally bought it. The Hypoallergenic toner has been specially formulated for sensitive skin and contains aloe vera to soothe the skin. Advantages: Fast print speed
Disadvantages: Expensive toner

...I baught this printer off ebay for the small sum of £1.40 about a year ago, they are currently on ebay at about £10 at the time of writing. This printer offers a good black and white output and is able to take a range of different print media which is fed through a vericle feed at the back unlike most laser printers who use a tray for the paper on the base, with the extra paper outlet at the front for card. the toner for the printer is rather expensive retailing at about £50 - £60 but it does give a high number of prints with my experience being arround 6000 pages. If printing double sided work the printer does have a tendancy to jam when you are printing on the reverse side of your work occaisionaly. This printer would be ideal for a small home office environment or for use as ashared printer in a larger office....

Review of Lexmark Optra E310

Oki toner cartridge - Professional, excellent quality printing.

Advantages: Professional quality. Simple to change, good colour
Disadvantages: Expensive, not sure if it is recyclable

...I have been using the Oki toner cartridges for apporximately 12 months. In my opinion the quality is fantastic, clear and precise. When a notice pops up telling me to replace the cartridge it can be ignored for quite a considerable time, even when running low on certain colours I have still found that the quality is good. When the time comes that the colour reproduction is not good enough then as long it is not for an important document I have found that by just simply removing the cartridge, shaking it about a bit and replacing it, it can bring the colour back to life and will add extra life to it.On the whole I feel it produces professional print quality. I think it is an expensive item but have not compared the longevity against an alternative product....

It's simply a toner!

...Having fallen in love with simple's light daily moisturiser I decided to try the travel size toner. Now bearing in mind I had never used a toner before (sorry to all those girls screaming!) I really love this product! I am now hooked and use it twice daily and I am disgusted that I didn't use toner before! For all of you who don't... you better start! For years thinking that after I had washed my face all the dirt was gone, imagine my disbelief when I used this toner and discovered all the makeup and dirt that was STILL on my face! This leaves my face feeling sooooooo clean! I love it. It's also packed with great ingredients that are fabby for your skin, such as witchhazel, I've never been a spotty person but we all get the odd few and this really helps to sooth and combat breakouts. Spritz-on Toner For All Skin Types

Advantages: Leaves skin feeling really fresh and cool, soft and smooth, doesn't dry or strip skin

This is not something I would normally do, especially as I don't really like the Dermalogica range, but knowing the damage that alcohol based toners that you put on cotton wool and swipe across your face can do, this sounded like a good investment. It costs around £20 for a 250ml bottle, but as usual shop around and you may find it cheaper. Dermalogica say this refreshing blend of ingredients gives you critical hydration. It contains Lavender extract to soothe and purify, Balm Mint and Aloe Vera to cool and soften, extracts of Arnica and Cucumber to refresh and condition and moisture-binding proteins to allow for more efficient moisture absorption. It's suitable for all skin types. It comes in a white cylindrical bottle with a grey spray top. The spray gives a nice 'spritz...

Advantages: Lasts ages, refreshing, easy to apply, no need for cotton wool, great for the skin

...Dermalogica Mulit Active Toner can be used on any skin type. It comes in a useful pump action type bottle which you can spritz on. It is light, refreshing and hydrates your skin and smooths the surface. It has a pleasant smell and contains lavender, mint and arnica to help condition the skin and prepare it for more moisture absorption. It conatins no artificial fragrance or colour. After cleansing you can spritz this spray all over your face and neck. You need to keep your eyes closed for this. Dermalogica then suggest that you follow this imediately with their moisturiser.
