An all singing, all dancing printer

Advantages: cheap, reliable, good quality print outs, compact
Disadvantages: nothing springs to mind as being a disadvantage as such

...If you are looking to purchase a new printer may I be so bold to suggest that you stop your search now and look no further than the Xerox Phaser 6110? No you say, ok, why I don't I explain why you should listen. I work from home, and have been using the Phaser 6110 now for 6 months to mainly print of bulk letter projects, colour charts and general pages from the internet. I would say that my printing is probably above average, sometimes printing over 500 pages a day. Since I have owned the printer, it has only needed one routine service and two replacement toner cartridges, so in its favour it has reliability. This is not all though readers, the Phaser 6110 is both a black/white and colour printer combo that really doesn't take up much space when you consider the size of such gigantic machines at the HP Laserjet 4. Slight Improvement on 8400 Phaser

Advantages: does duplex
Disadvantages: not quick enough, now behind with the times

...As a have stated in my previous review, I have three colour printers at work, one super duper one, a second being relatively good and my back up plan which was my last review. The Xerox Phaser 8560 I have had for two years and decided to keep when I recently upgraded to my super duper printer that is my pride and joy when I am in creative mode at work. The Xerox Phaser 8560 replaced the 8400 a couple of years ago and we saw several improvements to the machine as you normally do, better going forwards than backwards. The Phaser 8560 is a great printer and again takes crayon as opposed to ink that give it that excellent finish when producing reletively professional documents. Phaser 6180n in use

Advantages: Fast, economical,good for pictures, easy to connect to a network
Disadvantages: size, paper tray hard to open if kept on the floor

...I needed a colour printer which did not require expensive ink cartridges every 90 pages or so. I choose the Xerox 6180N which cost me under £200. It is very economical. it prints all types of paper formats and is very fast. The network facility works well with my 6 computers on the network and seems to accept documents from one computer running SuSe Linux The toners can be expensive , but firms like Toner Giant offer very good compatibles. The downside is the size, it has a large footprint and is very tall, and can only take 250 sheets in the standard tray, and I am loathed to buy an expensive second tray. It is not suitable as a home printer, but would be good for a home office or small business. Saying that , it does produce very good pictures when using mid range photo papers designed for colour laser printers. Anyone printing...

My New Pride & Joy at Work

Advantages: great colour, fast, takes all weights and sizes of paper
Disadvantages: smells at the moment

Advantages: Solid and Reliable

...The Xerox Phaser 6125vn comes from a long line of thoroughbreds, Xerox are experts at turning out solid printers and they even look good. The print quality is more than adequate and there print speed is ok too. This printer is great for small offices, Estate Agents seem to like them and I can see why, they are reliable and ideal for printing house info with colour pictures of "nice fixer uppers". There are a couple of drawbacks however, Xerox toner is not cheap so running costs can be a little on the high side, also getting this printer repaired once its out of warrantee can be frustrating, Xerox will repair but there prices go through the roof and getting parts is an expensive and torturous ordeal if you want to fit them yourself, I have to order bits from France and it can take up to 14 days. An expert toner

Advantages: Gentle

...Boots expert sensitive toner I like the Boots expert range and find they suit my skin and cause no nasty reactions, so when this was on special offer at half price I naturally bought it. The Hypoallergenic toner has been specially formulated for sensitive skin and contains aloe vera to soothe the skin. It will apparently sweep away the last traces of make up so that skin is clean and ready for moisturising. It is frangrance and lanolin free and dermatologically tested so i am ready for something very gentle as promised. PRODUCT AND PACKAGING... Good in its day!!

Disadvantages: bit slow now, lot less features than up to date models

...Within my position at work, it is extremely important that I have a decent printer and to be honest, I don't have one, I have three that I use for various print jobs that I may perform in-house. The Xerox Phaser 8400 is what I call my back up plan, used occasionally, when I may have ran out on consumables for my other printers of if I want to get a job done quick, I may use them all at the same time. All our printers are leased and unfortunately the Phaser 8400 is no longer available to purchase or lease as new anymore, however some companies do offer ex-demonstration machines and you may be able to acquire one of these this way. Since the 8400 was born, it has been upgraded and hs now been replaced by the 8560. The 8400 however I feel during its day was an excellent machine and still continues to produce quality prints...

Castrated fax machine lookalike?

Advantages: Print quality, realistic colour, curves!
Disadvantages: cost of replacing ink.

..., and more powerful (hence bigger wallet denting) 8400 series, this printer has been on sale since 2002. At the time it was the first of its kind, a market leader. This is all down to the Xerox patented single-pass technology (nope, doesn?t mean much to me either!). Looking into it, this means that the ink is transferred to the paper all in one go, meaning the speed of printing is greatly increased. This is a network/workgroup colour printer, using solid ink rather than the usual wet ink that inkjet printers throw at the paper. Basically it melts a coloured wax-based substance onto the paper (who knows, it may have come from Jason Donovan?s Madame Tussaud?s waxwork, seeing as it isn?t wanted any more). As I have found out from a quick browse of the Xerox homepage, this printer is capable of handling 65000 pages each month, so can easily...

In printer terms this is the dogs bollox !!

Advantages: fab print quality - up to 36 pages per minute in colour low noise - collates - cartridges last for months

...The Xerox Phaser 6350DP has stolen my heart as well as my the wallet of my boss. This was purchased at the start of the year for our office and is linked to a network of 6 PCs. The rationale about purchasing such a machine was left in the hands of others so I cannot comment on what they were looking for in detail. All I know is they wanted a fast coour printer. Installation was very easy and no drivers were needed be installed on our individual PCs, the network automatically detected it. To use the printer the computer must have an operating system more advanced than Windows 98. The printers look awesome, can hold up to 2600 pieces of paper and prints fairly rapidly in black and white and when called upon to print in colour.
