...Tony Hawks Proskater 2 is another great skateboarding simulation. It has every thing the 1st Tony Hawks game had but more, there are extra players, different courses, create your own course, create your own player and a different objective or motive. I only had Tony Hawks 2 recently, well more like today and I am already getting into it. Some of the moves have changed, but it is very similar O for Grabs,  to tricks, (Triangle) for Grinds and X for Ollie. The graphics are a lot better, the game play has advanced since the 1st 1. The sound has developed a lot and the difficulty of the game has increased. This game has a brought a whole new level to Skateboarding Simulations or any extreme sport simulation. It is definately worth its money.... Read review

...Tony Hawks American Wasteland is the latest game in the Tony Hawk Franchise and is the 7th game in as many years from producer's nervesoft.The Tony Hawks series started with Tony Hawks PRO skater 1 and carried on till Tony Hawks PRO skater 4. These games were task based where u was given set goals to complete on each level. ...After Tony hawks was released and became a great hit, someone had to release another to try and beat it! but I think this got the closest! This one has one main difference to Tony’s; in thrasher you have to start off with knowing no moves so starting off is pretty boring! But it does get better when you choose your sponsors and start learning new moves. But to tell you the truth I didn’t think very much to this game and I don’t think it comes anywhere near to Tony hawks.... Read review

...Tony Hawks 2 is a very good game it has very good graphics and good scenery. The bad thing about it is that u can cheat and get all the places. I don’t know about u but if u can cheat I always will. Which is pretty annoying but then some times cant be avoided. On this game u have to win keys to unlock new things and get a certain amount of points to do that level. ...Tony Hawk Pro Skater is a game that combines sheer skill with luck. It must be considered as the best game out on the Playstation at the moment, and must surely be made into a better Playstation 2 game. I would also like to see a film made, entitled "Tony Hawk: the Life Story" with an actor such as Sean Connery or Marlon Brando playing the lead role with the role of his wife played by Catherine Zeta Jones or someone else like Pamela Anderson. Apparently some people mistook the author for Tony Hawkes, the skateboarder, asking him questions like what is your favourite move, how many boards do you own, etc.. You can read the replies on his highly amusing website. Someone has even done a mock up of the skateboarding computer game - Tony Hawkes Prowriter 2. Anyway, back to the review. Tony Hawkes gets involved in a foolish, drunken bet, which involves lots of travel, and is full of insights into foreign culture. He nearly comes a cropper, meets lots of eccentric characters and leaves us in suspense as to whether he succeeds until the final chapter. ...Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is a diversion from the regular Tony Hawk's series in that it focuses on racing as a whole, not just the art of skating. It's a more linear and straightforward experience than previous Tony Hawk's games - there is a limited variety of boards and characters, there are only six courses to play on and the basic premise is simple: go forward, don't crash and win the race. There are diversions from this rule, such as Trick contests and Slaloms, but those are few and far between. That said, it does have a lot to offer. The courses are long and complex, with multiple routes to take. The music is top-notch and is invariably on my MP3 player. It suits the Wii controls near perfectly, although performing 'Special' tricks leaves a lot to be desired. My one problem with Downhill Jam is that it doesn't feel like your typical... Read review

...For any of you who have ever played Tony Hawks Pro Skating you will know that it is a brilliant game, well I just got a copy of Tony Hawks 2 on import and it is a brilliant sequal. The game wil be available in UK in the coming weeks (todays date 19/9/00). The game has so may added features there are loads of new parks and skaters and lots of different types of game play including many new styles of 2 player modes. You can now create your own skate parks and your own skaters, there are loads of new tricks for you to try and pull off, the list goes on and on. For those of you who dont know Tony Hawks is a skate board game and this is its sequal, I also have an opinion written on the original Tony hawks if you would like to see what it is all about in depth. ...If there was an easy way to take up skateboarding, we all would. But seeing as there isn’t one then we rely on the best simulations. When I say simulation, I really mean Tony Hawkes Skateboarding series. Tony Hawkes Pro Skater 2 is the ultimate skateboarding simulation. With some games that are console released and then later released on PC, they are absolute rubbish. This however is an exception. The game is a great improvement on both Tony Hawkes 1 and 2 for Playstation. It has many more moves and the graphics are great. This game is really challenging at first, but once you steadily start to learn the moves and tricks then you will be awesome. ...I got this game about a week ago from Blockbuster loving Tony Hawk's Pro Skater so much I thought this would be as good. It starts off really bad. I played on this for about a minute and then turned it off. It was rubbish. But then later in the week I thought, I'll give it another chance, see how good it really is. It's fantastic. This game is as addictive as Tony Hawks but the gameplay is completly different. If you've mastered Tony Hawks try this, you cant go wrong. The game starts off like Tony Hawks in a Warehouse. The game is practically identical as Tony Hawks 1, but instead of tapes you need covers. You can choose out of the eight characters there including Mat Hoffman and other famous BMXers, or as I'm told cause I have no clue who the heck any of them are!
