Top Of The Flops

Advantages: memories of Liz Kershaw's sassy earrings...
Disadvantages: pointlessly revamped and outdated

...were an unusual choice. Mis-teeq opened what was supposed to be a legendary show with a medley of an old song and their current song which bombed at #13. Lisa Maffia, was also tossed a medley into the arena, although was surely a last-minute replacement considering that she is hanging onto her record contract by the skin of her teeth thanks to some poor sales. Kylie played an album track, whilst Will Young proved to be one of the few highlights of the night by giving a controlled performance of his soon-to-be-#1 track. However, considering it was a chart show there was a distinct lack of current chart music. Only two acts played a pure song that is actually in the Top 40 at the moment, and one of those, (Blazin' Squad's unintentionally homoerotically titled 'Flip Reverse') has been falling down the Hit Parade quicker than one of Zola...

Advantages: Great laughs,top gear lads
Disadvantages: Not much in terms of car reviews,price,not all challenges are included.

...I love Top Gear,I've been watching for about 3 years now,and probably will watch it till its death day. Im a big fan of cars too,and have never minded the fact that they tend to forget that the rest of us cant afford Ferraris and Porsches! Top of.....what

Advantages: Can see some exclusive videos/performances
Disadvantages: Not as good as it was!

...Top of the pops has been going for many, many years and over them years the stage has been filled with many successful, great performers and some not so good!! The show was one of the first programmes, which featured bands/artistes performing live (or not so live!!) They also play the new released videos and quite regularly have exclusives. ~ ~ ~ What sort of music do they feature? ~ ~ ~ All sorts, they have featured performances from Brandy to Travis, from 702 to Ash. The idea of the show is to reach out to all ages and music tastes. Unfortunately as pop is very fashionable at the moment there is a lot of pop acts on the show such as S Club 7 and Atomic Kitten. Top of the class

Advantages: Fun, easy to pick up, Multiplayer
Disadvantages: a lil dated

Well for those like myself who's back-hand ends up on the rail way tracks (as in where the trains really go) and who's forehand smash usually results with my swan-diving the asphalt, Top Spin, is our friend. Published by Microsoft Game Studios, it was released in Q3 of 2003, to those Tennis watching fans, who are also partial to some video gaming action. Originally hitting the American market in October of 03, and Britain in November 03, Japan's releases was in July of 2004. ...In my stocking last Christmas, I recieved a small envelope in which looked quite intrueging. Inside the envelope was a subscription to one of my favourite magazines "TOP SANTE.Top Sante is, in my eyes classed as a "Special Magazine" and so I was pleased to recieve this gift as it meant I wouldn't have to splash out every month. The name Top Sante, comes from the french word "health". This indicates before you even read the magazine, that the contents will mainly be health related. My mum has been buying these magazines for 4 or 5 years and had saved up most of them. So you can imagine my delight when I came across a huge pile of them in one of my mum's drawers! Top Programme

Advantages: good programme

...Top Gear???? Top Gear is a motoring show that is broadcast n BBC2 on Sunday evenings at 8 o clock and repeated again during the week. There are three main presenters on the show and they are Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. Each of these presenters has their own quirkiness and their own very individual opinions relating to cars. The show lasts for an hour and you feel you are getting a lot packed into one show when watching it. There is usually a few new cars that are featured on the show and test driven by one or other of the presenters. There is also "The Stig" who is a racing driver dressed in all white driving suit with a blacked out visor on his helmet. The identity of "The Stig" is unknown and there is always a lot of speculation as to who really is in that driving suit (any ideas let me know...

Advantages: 3 hours, all you'd expect from the team, purely challenges nothing else
Disadvantages: Ripped straight from regular episodes, each challenge entwined, no extras

...Top Gear - the challenges - does exactly what it says on the tin. This cuts out all the reviews of cars, stars in reasonably priced cars and other features common to individual episodes of Top Gear and focuses purely on the challenges the team go through which are usually split by the regular features. The disk is around 164 nail biting, amusing action packed minutes of some of the best challenges the team have faced. These include: A Robin Reliant space shuttle, building amphibious cars and racing them on the water, building a Limo, building a convertable, crap 70s supercars and racing one of the worlds fasted road cars from Italy to London against Captain Slow (James May) in a Cessna 182. The disc isn't one large leap challenge to challenge, they are inter-mingled with each other which is initially a bit annoying to be into...

...From my earliest days of watching television, one program that has followed me as I have grown up is 'Top of the pops'. Back then though (the 70's and 80's), it all seemed so exciting and real. Unfortunatly these days something has changed a little for the worse :- The presenters - Seems anyone can host the show if they can speak these days. Half of the time I have never even heard of whoever it might be, (and why is there always a crowd of uninterested people stood around the presenter like he is giving away gold?) The bands - Sometimes quite decent bands frequent this show more than once, but I have noticed that if the same song stays in the charts for more than a week then the same performance is broadcast the following week and every week there after.(I'll not go into our licence fee and how it is spent on this op...
