...Top Gear is simple the best motor programme on TV. It easily beats Quentin Wilson and Fifth Gear. With James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson along with The Stig, the test driver it forms a deadly quatro. They provide fantastic entertainment and comedy. They enjoy experimenting, for example in the recent series they saw which one would get you across London faster, a train, a boat, a car or a bike. The results were in first the bike, then the boat followed by the train and lastly James May in the car. They also go on the equivalent of Bushtucker Trials in the motoring world driving across Botswana in old bangers. Driving across jungles and making the show funny and good viewing for the viewers. ...Top Gear Rally 2 is the sequel of Top Gear Rally, a racing game that left a lot to the imagination. Unfortuantely, this sequel is not a lot better. Featuring a strictly limited number of cars and tracks, the worst soundtrack I've ever heard and completely predictable AI, this game does not come in at the top of racing games. GRAPHICS: Even for an N64 game without the expansion pack, this game is graphically terrible. The picture is terribly grainy and looks ridiculous on a widescreen. There are virtually no curves; the polygon count for this game must be in the region of 4. SOUND: As I mentioned previously, the sound is awful. Don't try it through a surround sound system, you will just get 5.1 channels of terrible tracks of terrible quality. REPLAY VALUE: Zero. Do not play this game, let alone twice. Advantages: It has its good moments but...
Disadvantages: Its not consistent and Jason Barlow is just so annoying

...There I am. Its Thursday, its 8.30 and I am about to tune into my favourite program - Top Gear. Oh yes the BBC 2 gang continue to fuel my knowledge of cars and keep me informed. Whoops sorry, I forgot to tell you that that was a flashback from only a couple of years ago when I could actually be bothered to tune in to BBC2 to watch what was my fave program. Unfortunately Top Gear is falling from our screens at the end of this year and I can perfectly see why. Despite its almost legendary name, Top Gear will drop from the TV listings for a 'revamp'. My job here is to identify why such a repected and interesting show turned into a mundane and muddled program.
