Top of the class

Advantages: Fun, easy to pick up, Multiplayer
Disadvantages: a lil dated

...Tennis, a sport that the greats are amazing at, the great matches amaze us, but to be honest, so few of us are actually any good at. Well for those like myself who's back-hand ends up on the rail way tracks (as in where the trains really go) and who's forehand smash usually results with my swan-diving the asphalt, Top Spin, is our friend. Published by Microsoft Game Studios, it was released in Q3 of 2003, to those Tennis watching fans, who are also partial to some video gaming action. Originally hitting the American market in October of 03, and Britain in November 03, Japan's releases was in July of 2004. The game was released to massive success, and was the Xbox's first major Tennis game. Latterly it was published by 2K Sports for the PS2, before spawning sequels in Top Spin 2 and Top Spin 3. Advantages: good programme

...Top Gear???? Top Gear is a motoring show that is broadcast n BBC2 on Sunday evenings at 8 o clock and repeated again during the week. There are three main presenters on the show and they are Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. Each of these presenters has their own quirkiness and their own very individual opinions relating to cars. The show lasts for an hour and you feel you are getting a lot packed into one show when watching it. There is usually a few new cars that are featured on the show and test driven by one or other of the presenters. There is also "The Stig" who is a racing driver dressed in all white driving suit with a blacked out visor on his helmet. The identity of "The Stig" is unknown and there is always a lot of speculation as to who really is in that driving suit (any ideas let me know...

...In my stocking last Christmas, I recieved a small envelope in which looked quite intrueging. Inside the envelope was a subscription to one of my favourite magazines "TOP SANTE.Top Sante is, in my eyes classed as a "Special Magazine" and so I was pleased to recieve this gift as it meant I wouldn't have to splash out every month. The name Top Sante, comes from the french word "health". This indicates before you even read the magazine, that the contents will mainly be health related. My mum has been buying these magazines for 4 or 5 years and had saved up most of them. So you can imagine my delight when I came across a huge pile of them in one of my mum's drawers! ...Please note: this review is for the Top Gear POLAR SPECIAL and NOT for the show TOP GEAR. I have recently persuaded my partner round to my way of thinking when it comes to the TV program Top Gear. Consequently, I seem to be watching it on a loop at the moment, on BBC2 and the Sky channel Dave but I don't mind too much because it's fab. Top Telly!

Advantages: Interesting, explores good themes, different

...I'm not at all interested in any of the shows which revolve around finding the "Next Top Model" or anything like that, I find that although the girls may be beautiful their personalities are hideous and the shows are incredibly shallow. But when I saw an advert a few weeks ago for a new BBC3 show called Britain's Missing Top Model, my curiosity was heightened and I immedately put it into my Sky planner so that I wouldn't miss it. I'm glad I did that because it was a fantastic show which really pushed the limits of the fashion industry and was a very well done show all about disability, something we don't see much of on television these days. Britain's Missing Top Model, shown on BBC3 through June, July and August of this year, is a new show about finding a model but with a twist. Each of the 8 contestants had a disability of some sort...

Top Gear back to Top Form with a Top Host

Advantages: Talks about cars 'n' stuff in a way that I, a girl, can understand!
Disadvantages: Hidden away on BBC2 on a Sunday night!

...Well, when I saw that "Top Gear" had not received a review based on its current format (i.e. Its re-birth after BBC decided that they DID need a car consumer programme after having previously axed it) I felt that one was long overdue. And to make it even more refreshing for you all, its from my point of view - that of a female!! You'll find Top Gear hidden away on BBC2 at the moment - 8pm until 9pm on a Sunday evening. Perhaps not the most ideal timeslot for all (I'll hold my hands up and say that I don't always remember to tune in - and then I'm gutted when I realised that I've missed it!). The show is now based from a hangar on an old airfield, with the runways at the programme's disposal to show us what the cars that they report on can really do! The main presenter is once again Jeremy Clarkson - who did have the same job...

Top Fun!

Advantages: Great fun, suitable for all the family
Disadvantages: Sometimes goes on forever!

...I bought Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Top Trumps specials on the aeroplane on my way to Budapest. I think I paid £4.99 for them. My dad and I had great fun playing with them during our holiday :-) ~ How to Play ~ Any number of people can play. The cards are dealt face down until there are none left. The person who starts reads a value from their top card. On the cards that I have, you can choose from: magic, cunning, courage, wisdom and temper. Although the words change depending on the pack of cards you have. The other players read their value and the person who has the highest one wins the cards from that round. It is then their turn to read a value. The game ends when one person has all of the cards (this person is the winner!) Although the game is simple, it is quite addictive. It can get quite annoying after a while...
