Great Toronto hotel

Advantages: Close to everything, inexpensive
Disadvantages: None to name

..., and this came to a total of around £200 for three sharing an above standard room. We didnt notice too much of a difference compared to a standard rom, but the room was listed as a suite. For a basic 3* hotel in a great location we found the hotel to be perfect for what we needed. As first time Toronto tourists we had everything within easy reach and the hotel was perfectly adequate. Highly recommended! xx...

Capo Bay Hotel, Protaras

Advantages: fantastic 4* hotel
Disadvantages: don't go there in the week that they close!

...We have just returned from our honeymoon in Cyprus. We stayed at the Capo Bay Hotel, which stands on the Fig Tree Bay in the resort of Protaras. It is one hours drive from Larnaca Airport. (I will reveiw Protaras as a resort separately. This review is solely on the Capo Bay Hotel). The hotel was fantastic. It is 4star hotel and the service and facilities are great. The Capo Bay hotel has 225 rooms over 4 floors and was built in 1985. It offers a gymnasium with massage and jacuzzi, tennis, scuba diving, pool, 2 swimming pools (1 heated) and 4 different restaurants to eat in, including 1 beside the pool. We paid £1500 for two weeks Bed & Breakfast. This was for an inland view room, but because we were on our honeymoon, we were upgraded to a seaview room. We overlooked the swimming pool and had an excellent view...

Toronto

Advantages: Read opp
Disadvantages: none

...This review is about my time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I spent just under two weeks in this province, and so I thought I would share my travel experience with everyone. I have been to Canada once before, however I was very young and thus didn?t really get a feel for the province; I was too young to travel around and to young to do the things I enjoy doing now. These reviews won?t list all the things that can be done in Toronto, but rather just the things I had done during my stay. Hopefully, this information will be of some use to anyone reading this and hoping to travel their one day. Brief History: Ontario is a province located in east central Canada, and is the second largest province after Quebec. Most of Ontario is bordered by the US, and for this reason many of the tourists visiting the northern tip of America will also...

The hotel that takes up a whole block

Advantages: Very professional, clean and comfy
Disadvantages: Expensive

...I suppose no matter which way you look at it, 1400 bedrooms is a lot! This is what we were faced with when we arrived at our final hotel when we visited Canada recently. We had stayed in a small hotel in Niagara, a medium sized one in Hamilton, and now a huge one in Toronto. Booking through Canadian Affair seems to be a common occurrence, but this is no surprise, as they can get your good deals. We booked in at the same time as a couple of our friends were getting a room without having prebooked. Ours costed around £80 for the night, while theirs ended up costing about £130, and that was after they haggled and downgraded to a limited room. Otherwise, it would have been well over £150 for them. The room itself was lovely. They have a few different sets of elevators, depending on how high you are in the building. We were just over...

Paphian Bay Hotel Paphos

Advantages: Everything!!
Disadvantages: nothing

...I stayed at this hotel for one week in July 2005. It was brilliant. The hotel looked classy from the inside and out, and was only a short way from the shops and restaurants in Paphos. Check In: I arrived at this hotel with 2 other family members, it was night time and we were all feeling tired and stressed. The check in to the hotel was quick, even though there was only one receptionist there. We quickly found our room on the bottom floor of the hotel, just a little way down the corridor. What we thought was the bottom floor was actually not though, as we found out, you had to go downstairs to get to the pool and the other facilities. Room: The rooms were lovely and spacious, with two big beds and large bathroom. In the bedroom there was a kettle, and everything else for making tea. The milk, coffee, sugar and teabags were...

A decent option in the heart of Toronto

Advantages: clean, central, friendly staff
Disadvantages: normally expensive, breakfast overpriced

...***Location*** For those spending a few days in downtown Toronto, there is certainly no better location than this hotel. It is right in the heart of the city, in walking distance from everything a tourist may want to do: The Eaton Centre, Queen Street West, Yonge Street, CN Tower. ***Arrival*** Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly front desk person who was well aware that we had booked this hotel at a bargain price via Priceline. Nonetheless, he treated us with as much courtesy as he would have treated a full-paying customer and even upgraded us to one of their special rooms for Starwood Preferred Guests. We also were able to choose whether we wanted to stay on a high floor or a low floor, so we opted for a higher floor. The elevators are simply brilliant - they take you up to your room in no time. One quibble...

Gorgeous hotel right in the heart of Toronto

Advantages: Lovely large, clean rooms
Disadvantages: None!

...I visited this hotel with my then-boyfriend in March a couple of years back and I can't fault it. We booked it through Travelscope - a travel agent that advertises its promotional rates in the paper. I was a bit wary of this, but I had nothing to worry about, everything went smoothly and they had some really good optional trips organised, including a trip to Niagara Falls which was included in the price. We chose to upgrade to this 4 star hotel from a 3 star as it didn't work out that much more expensive and the room facilities seemed a lot better. We weren't disappointed - we had 2 seperate rooms in our suite, a bedroom with 2 double beds, leading onto a spacious bathroom, with a shower, toilet and bath, and the sink in a seperate area, with classy marble sides and a huge mirror. We had lovely soft fluffy white towels...

Perfect Hotel in a Perfect Location

Advantages: Location, Location, Location!!
Disadvantages: None

...restaurants and a bar. >>>> LOCATION <<<< The Sheraton Centre is located on Queen Street right in the centre of Toronto, within walking distance of all the main attractions such as the CN Tower, the popular shops, the main mall (The Eaton Centre), bars and restaurants. In Toronto this really is the best place to be as you are right in the middle of everything, and you can walk to the major attractions such as the CN Tower in about 10-15 minutes. We also really liked staying here as each night we could easily find a really nice restaurant or bar and we never had to walk far from the hotel. >>>>First Impressions<<<< When we first arrived I wasn't too sure about the hotel as it really didn't look much from the outside, but as soon as I walked into the lobby my opinion changed. The hotel lobby really is massive and looks very plush...

Kenmare Bay Hotel

Advantages: Clean, comfortable, good location for touring Kerry
Disadvantages: None

...We spent some time travelling in the South and West of Ireland and, after landing at Cork and an easy 50 mile drive, stayed the first night at the Kenmare Bay Hotel. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the beauties of the Kerry countryside, although the day following our stay was wet and misty, which meant that anything more than 50 yards from the roadside on the Ring of Kerry was invisible! The hotel itself is on the large side with 136 rooms, but the service is still personal and friendly. The night we stayed there were a couple of coach trips booked in so early booking for dinner was advisable. The food is locally sourced, cooked well and we can specially recommend the seafood chowder and the Kerry beef. The rooms are spacious and clean and, because they have large windows, appear bright and welcoming. Guests have...

We highly recommended Naama Bay hotel

Advantages: Central Naama bay location, 5 star hotel at bargin prices
Disadvantages: If you are not used to Arabic culture you'll think your getting slow/poor service

...First please understand this is a review of the hotel not the resort of Sharm el Sheikh. I will add detail where appropriate but for a full review of the resort I will write one during one of my next reviews. We have stayed in Sharm 11 times so far and our last 4 holidays we have stayed in the Naama Bay Hotel. We have stayed there in March, November and July, all have been excellent although July tends to be busier. This hotel was very close to one of the bombs that went off but suffered only some broken glass in the front which was repaired quickly, I have to say that despite being caught up in the bombings we will have no qualms about going back and will be staying at the Naama bay on our next visit. First I should let you know where our requirements lay so you can judge our viewpoint. We are divers and go to Sharm at least...
