...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Toshiba Portege 3500 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative. Of all the tablet PC's currently on the market the Toshiba Portégé 3500 has the best performance of all the systems because it uses the Intel Pentium III-M 1.33 GHz processor and a fast hard drive. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player. ...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... ...I purchased myself a Toshiba 2109 multi region following several problems with a Samsung 709 I had previously purchased. It was immediatly evident that the Toshiba was superior in every respect to the Samsung. Picture quality is on the same level as the sound quality - excellent. It has an extensive range of functions and is simple to operate. It has never refused to play a disc, I buy them from all over the world via the internet. The only gripe I would have with it is to fast forward or rewind, you have to hold down the chapter skip button. This makes it easy to skip chapters accidently. However, this is a small price to pay for the quality of player you get for the minimal investment. If you're after an entry level player, this is the one!... Read review

...I recently bought a Toshiba 320gb extrenal hard drive off ebay to store my mp3's, movies, documents etc. The capacity of the drive is awesome. 320gb is almost too big. It was easy to install and I had it going within minutes. The downfall of the hard drive I purchased, is that it is big, it is an eye sore, and it does not connect to your PC/laptop via usb. It has a separate power cable. My advice would be to buy a smaller capcity hard drive which connect via usb. 320gb is far too much unless you have endless amounts of files. For £90, it does what it says on the tin. However, DO NOT pay over £90 for a Toshiba hard drive!... Read review

...The Toshiba Satellite P200 -17C is the perfect laptop if you're looking for some gaming fun. Its 2D and 3D performance is impressive, while six USB ports are scattered around the machine. The speakers are excellent and Interacting with the P200 is a mixed bag because whilst the trackpad is great, the keyboard has a couple of flaws. The space bar feels as though it's about to pop off and the diminutive size of the 'Enter' button.Opting for screen size over mobility, the Toshiba Satellite P200-13Z is aimed at home multimedia use. ...when i first decided to step up into the dvd world i wanted a relatively cheap but easy to use dvd player. that is what i've got with this player. it is also multi-region but unlike a lot of other players this one has a very useful automatic region changer. when i compared this one to that of my brothers(a pioneer) i thought the extra £100 he spent on his was not justified because his is just to hard to use. with the toshiba all you have to do is put the disc in and press play, as simple as that.... ...I have owned a Toshiba Satelite Pro for over three years now and on the whole am very happy with the machine. There is however a caveat with my recommendation. The design boys at Toshiba made one glaring mistake by placing the cooling vent for the processor on the underside of the laptop. as a result the laptop will gets very hot, the fan is constantly working at near maximum and is noisy. Eventually, the machine will get too hot and close down. I note from a previous review that someone complains that his machine shuts down unexpectedly - I'm pretty sure that this is part of the cooling problem. Luckily the machine is smart enough to know when the heat is critical and will perform a 'hard shutdown'. Leaving the machine to make the decision however, WILL degrade the machine over time and cause reliability problems. The simple... Read review
