Bush 26" LCD TV
Review of Bush LCD26TV009HD by
richooooo
Advantages: Cheap.hdready,small
Disadvantages: no freeview built in,pip dont work
...of it,i have never used these yet i wouldnt know which button is what there is about 6 altogether.
Remote is quite thin and long it has one thing on it i can not seem to use though Picture in Picture i have tried everything.I have followed the user manual pressed all the buttons on the remote and nothing happens at all dont know why.
The worst thing about this television that is so annoying is that when i have it on standy its buzzes it is perfect when i turn it on the buzzing stops.
Summary:
I Think that this TV is good for someone like me who doesnt have much space for a bigger tv but i think if i had the chance i would get a samsung 26" as they seem to look better and have more features.
Worth the money though...

KLV-26HG2 - One of the best LCD TVs in its class!
Review of Sony KLV-26HG2 by
ben_keene
Advantages: Superior Picture Performance, Sexy exterior, Component Input, NTSC playback
Disadvantages: Speakers aren't detatchable, no extra leads in the box, only 1 analogue tuner
...cost - SULW1 (About £99 (ish))
Explanation
Starting at the top is the 26” true viewable display. CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) or regular bulky type TVs have a viewable screen size less than that stated, i.e. a 28” regular TV may only have a viewable screen size of 26-27”. However LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs have a true viewable area, and do not suffer the same fate as their bulkier cousins. So what you see is what you get! The displays resolution is 1280x768, that is 1280 dots across by 768 down.
170 Degree viewing angle both horizontal and vertical means that the screen does not ‘fade out’ should you not be sat directly in front of it. Some cheaper and older LCDs have this problem, and since most people’s living rooms are not set up for everyone to be sat directly in front of the TV, it’s a good idea to choose a unit that has a wide...

Toshiba 15" LCD TV with Freeview
Review of Toshiba 15V330D by
sagitaria
Advantages: Slimline, lightweight, reliable
Disadvantages: Remote control is slow to respond
...can push them against a wall and hey presto, a whole new area of worktop space.
So, despite my old analogue working perfectly, it was time to consign it to the pavement outside. I never need worry about it being collected by the bin men. It'll be long gone before then. We can guarantee one of the locals, who regularly scour the streets for unwanted electrical items, will rescue it. Before too long, it'll re-appear down at the local market where someone will make a small profit.
After a bit of research, I decided to go for the Toshiba 15" 4:3, LCD, Integrated Digital TV with Freeview. Pricewise, it seemed to be very competitive and its performance was highly rated.
I'm very loyal to Toshiba anyway, especially when it comes to televisions and DVD players. I've always found them to be a very trustworthy brand, with few, if any...

Good looking toshiba lcd tv
Review of Toshiba 14VL33 by
oldwasp
Advantages: flat lcd screen, good sound, mounts on wall.
Disadvantages: motion blur watching fast moving objects
...of a player or the ball you get a ghosting or motion blur, this is because the TV only has a 25ms response time. LCD tv's are best under 15ms, but how often would you watch sport on a 14" TV.
Teletext is easy to use with the remote which includes fasttext.
Another television from Toshiba that they can be proud of, looks good easy to use and fantastic to watch.
Thanks for reading...

Philips 26inch LCD- 26PF5521D
Review of Philips 26PF5521D/10 by
sahalq
Advantages: Picture Quality, Sound, Design
Disadvantages: Remote is a little tricky to understand
...have many peripherals such as DVD players etc. The TV also has integrated free view, which is extremely beneficial if you do not have sky or cable. You can get over 30 free channels.
There are hardly any disadvantages to mention. The only one I have noticed is the remote can be a little tricky to understand. Overall this is a great LCD TV to buy, and in my opinion it is the best 26 inch LCD on the market.
So in conclusion-
Pros- Picture quality, Sound Quality, & Design
Cons- Remote is tricky to understand...

Venturing into the world of budget LCD televisions
Review of Bush LCD 26 TV 016 HD by
Mainflava
Advantages: Easy to tune; clear, high quality picture, good sound
Disadvantages: None that I can see so far
....
Screen size......
Having looked at a number of flat panel TVs with screen sizes ranging from 15 to 32 inches, I decided to upgrade my normal screen size from 15 inches to 26 inches in order to provide that home cinema feel in a relatively small room. While large screens were also appealing, a combination of a tight budget (see above) and a small room with which the set would be located, forced my hand into the sub 32 inch category.
Bush LCD 26 inch TV
Eventually, after much searching, I stumbled across the above televison on offer for a shade over £300 including delivery - well inside my projected budget. On receipt of the television, I was suprised at just how light it was; weighing in at less than 17 kg meant that should I need to wall mount the unit, I could get away with much cheaper brackets and, I could even contemplate the tilt...

Great Picture from a Top Tosh
Review of Toshiba 26 WL36 by
bluejonny
Advantages: Sleek Design, Freeview built in, Easy to use, nice picture, HD ready
Disadvantages: Slow freeview functions, dodgy remote, fixed stand, standby mode
...The Toshiba 26WLT66 has found it's way into our newly decorated bedroom to replace our ageing 14" CRT set and oddly it doesn't look as big!
At 26" the screen size will sound large, but when you view it, the dimensions can be deceiving. We went for the Tosh purely down to convenience - we wanted a good quality TV with freeview built in to save cluttering up the bedroom again with more AV equipment. What we didn't realise was the lack of TV's in this sub 27" bracket that don't come with Freeview! All in all there were about 3 to chose from at our local electrical store, but we liked the look and style of the Toshiba, and me a being a quality brand man I was put off by the DMTech and Goodmans versions - call me fussy.
After 3 weeks of waiting for it to arrive (yes, 3 weeks!) on the day it came we took it straight upstairs and set...

Sony KDL-S 26 A 12 U LCD TV digital HD ready
Review of Sony KDL-S 26 A 12 U by
wanlan
Advantages: Brilliant picture and sound, easy setup, weight
Disadvantages: none attributable to the TV at this time
...Our existing widescreen 28" TV (which was seriously heavy, needed 2 of us to move it - still at risk of hernia - and seemed to occupy a large section of our room projecting backwards nearly 2 feet) expired recently and refused to have anything more to do with us.
Some quick net searches revealed the vast range of LCD widescreen TV's available, but importantly brought us up to date with imminent technological changes : we decided that, to futureproof a little, the set for us needed to be 26", digital ( but with analogue capability for the time being) incorporate freeview, and be HD ready, and for my wife in particular elegant in design and silver!
Half a day spent whizzing around the usual electrical stores locally helped a little, but our eventual choice and purchase was made at the local Sainsbury store. Their price, £699.99, we...

LC26GA6E good LCD TV
Review of Sharp LC-26GA6E by
volcano
Advantages: Easy to set up and use, lots of connections
Disadvantages: price a bit high, stand a bit bulky
...This TV is a 'real' HD ready TV with Screen resolution of 1366 x 768. Not like the other LC P55E or P70E models of similar price which were previously advertised as 'HD ready' but in fact they are not. They are EDTV i.e. screen resolution can go up to 900 x 540, not really high defintion.
Strangly enough, the sharp UK website did not have the specfication of LC26GA6E but the others mentioned above.
You can hang this TV on the wall without professional help as it is not heavy. Or, you can use its own (quite strong) table-top stand although it seems a bit bulky to me.
I like the design of the speakers all at the bottom so that the screen is almost the same width as the set i.e. full use of the width. For those that have side speakers, they looked bulky.
The speakers are 2 X 10W, better than most of the others for normal use...
