...If quality and style is what you are looking for then the Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" HD is the TV for you. This screen is one of the better looking on the market and looks great both on the side with the supplied stand or mounted on the wall (wall mount not supplied). The picture quality is phenomenal. The TV has DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine) which helps to 'step up' the inputted source. This means a great quality pictures even from my DVD player connected through one of the two scart sockets and from the built in freeview receiver. This negates the need to update a DVD player for one with a HDMI connection. The screen produces up to 12.8 billion colours and has a contrast ratio of 5000:1 giving great definition between light and dark. Having a considerably large screen, , the quality of picture does not decline at all, as some screen's unfortunately do.. Crystal clear sound. A simple, Realistic set up, With no pulling out hair activity!. And addition to all of that, It has a silver, Super modern funky look, to accessorise your living room. ...It is now 2 weeks since I bought my first LCD, HD ready TV. This was a beautiful Sony KDL-32V2500, part of the V-series from Sony, which also includes 40” and 46” models. I have put a lot of research into this purchase, as this is an expensive item and in the end I chose this particular model. I read a lot of reviews, checked the manufacturers websites for technical specifications and spent hours (or, more likely, days) in Sony/Panasonic/Toshiba shops, as well as in Dixons or Currys, to see the difference in picture quality. I was never to buy from a shop though, as the prices are so much higher than in the online shops (hundred of pounds difference). ...I previously had a 32\" Phillips TV which eventuall gave up the ghost. After a long research I bought this TV. Of particular interest to me was the fact that when you compare directly against others in a shop, it was much brighter, with sharper colours than all the others ata similar price point - and some a great deal more costly. The Picture is very bright and I do switch off the effect some times if watching certain types of TV - but that is the point I guess - you still get the colours and picture quality even from standard non HD signals. The Menu system is straightforward and the DIgital tuner is also fine - I have a weak signal area and managed to get pretty much all of the channels with no booster so that is one less piece of equipment cluttering up my lounge ! ...After spending four months looking for an LCD TV under £500, getting totally confused by all the reviews on various sites and forums, we eventually bit the bullet and ordered the Toshiba 32WL66 last week. We've only had it a few days so it is early days but so far so good. Firstly the price, I think this originally sold for up to £1100 but as Toshiba have now brought out a newer model, it can be picked up for just under £500. To be honest it is mostly the price that swung it for me, most of the other TVs at that sort of price are brands I'd never heard of and whilst some had decent reviews, I wasn't totally comfortable getting such a TV. ...Just after Christmas I felt it was high time I got myself a new TV. The old tube TV was beginning to show it's age, and the range of sleek black Samsung LCD TV's caught my eye. I made the order, and soon after a beautiful, stylish television arrived at my house. 32 inches of great picture quality. I plugged it in, plugged in my HDMI cable to DVD player and first checked out a BBC natural history DVD. The first thing I noticed was that the clarity and colour depth was incredible straight out of the box. Nature has never looked so beautiful on a screen! It was fairly painless to begin changing colour settings, and i'd soon set up a preset by using the samsungs easy to understand menu. So far so good. ...First, I will note that purchasing this TV was as a replacement to the 28 inch Panasonic CRT that I had used for about 8 years. Therefore, the move up to a 32 inch diagonal on an LCD set was quite a cinematic increase. Having been tempted for several months, and seeing that 32 inch LCDs are now down to about the same price that their 26 inch equivalents were at a few months back, I decided to go ahead and buy one, at the right price. I wanted to go with a well-established brand, but having decided that 32 inches was my minimum I had a browse around the internet and some high street retailers. This product is a real treat: I use it ti watch HD (High Definition) movies, play games on HD ,watch home-movies I have made on my Toshiba Camileo Pro Camcorder and even use it to surf the net sometimes, instead of my Sony KDL.
