Excellent in SD, let alone HD!
Review of Toshiba 32 C 3030 DG by
mhurren
Advantages: Excellent picture quality, two HDMI, built in Freeview, PC connection, relatively low power consumption.
Disadvantages: nothing major found so far!
...First, I will note that purchasing this TV was as a replacement to the 28 inch Panasonic CRT that I had used for about 8 years. Therefore, the move up to a 32 inch diagonal on an LCD set was quite a cinematic increase. Having been tempted for several months, and seeing that 32 inch LCDs are now down to about the same price that their 26 inch equivalents were at a few months back, I decided to go ahead and buy one, at the right price.
I wanted to go with a well-established brand, but having decided that 32 inches was my minimum I had a browse around the internet and some high street retailers. This, the Toshiba 32C3030, I found to be packed with features, considering a reasonable price tag of £460 on dixons.co.uk (available on comet.co.uk at £530 and on the high street for £599!)
Set up was quick and easy, just plug the aerial...

Hello Tosh got a Toshiba ( i have)
Review of Toshiba 32 C 3030 D by
king_k_71
Advantages: Value for money, stylish picture quality
Disadvantages: 2 scart connections,sound quality
...We purchased our toshiba 32" lcd tv 6 months ago now and continue to be very pleased with it,one of the main reasons for us purchasing this t.v was we wanted the style, features ie hd ready, size, etc but not having to break the bank, after many trips to currys, dixons, comet etc and checking out almost every tv within our price range £500-£650 we decided that the toshiba ticked all the right boxes, with a sale price of £529.00
It was generally easy to install and if you follow the on-screen menus you cannot really go wrong.
Unfortunataly on the back there are only 2 scart connections a pain when you have a sky+box,a dvd player & seperate vcr,and when the kids want to play their game consoles you have to use the yellow, red & white connections on the side,(we are currently saving for sky hd box which iam hoping will free one of the scarts...

Toshiba Portege 3500 - Best of breed, but heavy
Review of Toshiba Portege 3500 - PIII-M 1.33 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
maxmidnight
Advantages: Robust, powerful, functionally superior to the competition. All you could ask for from a tablet pc.
Disadvantages: Can get hot, but nothing to worry about, battery life shorter than with other models (3.5hrs), heavier than the competition making it awkward for the true mobile user.
...Over the past few months, I have been evaluating and rolling out tablet PC's across my organisation within the Health industry. My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Toshiba Portege 3500 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative.
Of all the tablet PC's currently on the market the Toshiba Portégé 3500 has the best performance of all the systems because it uses the Intel Pentium III-M 1.33 GHz processor and a fast hard drive. Perhaps as a consequence of the faster processor, the Toshiba is also the hottest and noisiest; it is the only Tablet PC I have used which utilises a case fan. Furthermore, it has the shortest battery life (3:05 versus 3:25 for the top-scoring Fujitsu). Unlike...

Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Review of Toshiba SD340E by
bowdeni
Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder
...DVD was launched commercial over 10 years ago. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player.
So firstly, why Toshiba? Toshiba have an excellant reputation for producing quality products for a great price. There are some manufacturers such as Sony, that in my opinion rely too much on their brand image to sell the good. Toshiba both provide an excellant product, more importantly quality and value. 'What hifi' have for many years ranked Toshiba as the best budget DVD player, and the Toshiba SD340E itself...

Best budget machine by Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 - Turion 64 X2 TL-58 1.9 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
ZiaFarhan
Advantages: Cash back, looks, Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard
Disadvantages: Unimpressive battery life
...I have never seen or used a Toshiba AMD based laptop that was better than this particular piece of kit
This is definately a budget machine which is a perfect desktop replacement with a sleek design and attractive display that would appeal.
Pros: Broad, bright display; comfortable keyboard, new measures that Toshiba has taken to insure quality and the look
Cons: Unimpressive battery life; glossy screen finish produces reflections;
Verdict: The inexpensive Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B1 laptop offers enough features and performance oomph for basic business tasks, but its AMD processor may disappoint hard-core multitaskers. Does not over warm up so thats good news for travellers like myself. Is very good value for money, looking at prices of different stores like Technoworld (by now you should all know it is my favourite...

Toshiba Equium
Review of Toshiba Equium L350-10L - Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.73 GHz - 17" TFT by
gareth81
Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Toshiba A7
Review of Toshiba Tecra A7-117 - Core Duo T2300 1.66 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
Mindie2
Advantages: when it works it is fine
Disadvantages: it can take hours to boot up
...I bought one of these little buggers refurbished from the Toshiba service centre. If you are thinking of doing the same don't do it! Now I have one I find that it is a common fault in the machine that one of the network components freezes the processor for reasons unknown, it will not come out of standby without a fight, it is a real pain in the @$$. I would hate to generalise that it is Toshiba, I am sure that there are reliable models out there but this is not one and support from Toshiba has been sadly lacking. Searching numerous forums on the web finds many other users with the same faults, a hardware problem maybe, not sure, I have lost interest and now have to leave the laptop on continuously so I am not reminded of the fight to restart it....

Tosh 2109 - Superp player for the money
Review of Toshiba SD-2109 by
jonny30
Advantages: Cheap, Solid performance
Disadvantages: Chapter skip button is also for fast forward/rewind
...I purchased myself a Toshiba 2109 multi region following several problems with a Samsung 709 I had previously purchased. It was immediatly evident that the Toshiba was superior in every respect to the Samsung. Picture quality is on the same level as the sound quality - excellent. It has an extensive range of functions and is simple to operate. It has never refused to play a disc, I buy them from all over the world via the internet. The only gripe I would have with it is to fast forward or rewind, you have to hold down the chapter skip button. This makes it easy to skip chapters accidently. However, this is a small price to pay for the quality of player you get for the minimal investment. If you're after an entry level player, this is the one!...

Is it really worth the money?
Review of Toshiba Hard drive 320 GB by
tomliverpool
Advantages: Huge memory
Disadvantages: Some of Toshiba's external hard drives have a separate power cable
...I recently bought a Toshiba 320gb extrenal hard drive off ebay to store my mp3's, movies, documents etc.
The capacity of the drive is awesome. 320gb is almost too big. It was easy to install and I had it going within minutes.
The downfall of the hard drive I purchased, is that it is big, it is an eye sore, and it does not connect to your PC/laptop via usb. It has a separate power cable.
My advice would be to buy a smaller capcity hard drive which connect via usb. 320gb is far too much unless you have endless amounts of files.
For £90, it does what it says on the tin. However, DO NOT pay over £90 for a Toshiba hard drive!...

EYE cathcing, JAW Dropping, MUST have product.
Review of Toshiba 37X3030D by
Toffee-Crisp
Advantages: Sleek design, amazing picture quality, amazing sound quality with special DNR noise reduction feature.
Disadvantages: no side mount, 3 second time delay when switiching on TV.
...Toshiba is a well known and well trusted company for all its products. The Toshiba 37X3030D LCD HDTV is said to be one of the best TV's in its range and much better then any other LCD HDTV's out there. Not only that the Toshiba 37X3030D seem to be selling really well in stores and online for the reason that it have an exceptional picture viewing quality which is outstanding, its design is neat, sleek and sexy and the price of this TV in unbelievable.
The design of this Product is not all eye-catching but jaw dropping. Its sleek mirror back glossy look is really attractive and fashionable. Well this look is what you get on nearly all LCD TV's these days. But with the Toshiba its something much more then that as with the TOSHIBA, its not only makes your living room look more modern and livens up the area it also gives it a updated...
