My Impression of the D505
Review of Dell Latitude D505 by
theDodo
Advantages: This computer is fast, looks good and it is quite thin.
Disadvantages: Could be a little bit lighter.
...My experience
I bought the Dell latitude D505 at a very good price. People say Dells are too expensive but they are wrong, they cost just as much as any other computer. My family has always had Dells and they are excellent computers. Right from the beginning I have been very pleased. I have used it for a while now and it has never let me down.
The keys on the keyboard are very well situated, it is very clear where all of the keys that you don’t use very often. The whole front surface is very well designed; it does look very nice and attractive. I think Dell computers are one of the best on the design point of view and should always be considered one of the first makes you should look at.
The speed is very impressive, it takes about 5 seconds to get from the login on page to the icons, it is also very good...

Dell Latitude D505
Review of Dell Latitude D505 by
bonsy
Advantages: Looks smart and has firewire
Disadvantages: Screen lift up button is a bit noddy
...Dell Latitude D505 Specification:
Pentium M 1.60Ghz
512 Mb
40 Gb
RJ45 connecton
2200BG Wireless
Modem
DVD ROM with writer
This is a smart looking laptop, although the screen release catch is very noddy and flimsy. It has a firewire connection so you can connect a digital camera to it for instance which is rather handy and a nice feature. The mouse pad is really nice and has smooth movement, which is great as some acer laptops I've used recently have been really slow sticky movement.
It has built in wireless, however it doesn't have an external switch to enable or disable which is a little annoying. Same with bluetooth, it supports bluetooth but there is no external switch to disable or enable it. There is also no phsical light that shows you your wireless or bluetooth connectivity status, which to be honest is really...

D505 - Corporate Laptop
Review of Dell Latitude D505 by
dan.michelle
Advantages: Stylish Design, Good Display, Battery Life
Disadvantages: Little On the heavy side
...D505 - I fell in love with this laptop the moment i saw it. When compared next to my previous black chunky Dell laptop, i was taken aback by the silver sleek design!
Design--
The screensize on this laptop is quite large, and when i am away on business it plays DVDs with crystal quality.
The only let down, as you can probably imagine, is a very 'tinny' sounding speaker set-up. Definatley not a laptop for a music producer!!
The silver colour is very impressive, and far more stylish than the old black Dells you used to get.
Keyboard is comfortable to use, however, the touchpad does not have a scroller option to the side and below like other Dell's, which is a little of a let down if you are used to using one.
Speed & Performance--
The speed of the processor is 1.5GHz (m), coupled with 256MB RAM, this provides far more power...

Hello Tosh got a Toshiba ( i have)
Review of Toshiba 32 C 3030 D by
king_k_71
Advantages: Value for money, stylish picture quality
Disadvantages: 2 scart connections,sound quality
...) but you can always purchase a scart adaptor for a few pounds.
Skipping through the feature menus you can find many on colour sound etc, although in my personal opinion it could have done with a bit more bass even with the bass boost on,but again sound can be enhanced by an external source.
Our toshiba sits proudly on a black glass & chrome stand which with our black seperates it looks the part.
I would have liked to be able to adjust the hight of the tv but this is not an option, you can swivel the tv on it's stand though.
The remote control is very slim & stylish

Sony Vaio N505X - Pleasantly Surprised!
Review of Sony VAIO N505X - C 333 MHz - 10.4" TFT by
kenzo123
Advantages: Ultra-portable, Magnesium alloy casing, Runs XP no problem!, cost just £90!
Disadvantages: Battery life is about 1 hour, Low spec by today's standards
.... The base and lid is cast from a magnesium alloy which is cold to the touch and emphasises the products’ quality – remember this was once a high end premium product which retailed at over £1500.
******Performance:*******
The Sony Vaio N505X was originally designed for windows 98 therefore its specification is very low by today’s standards. See below:-

Perfect All-In-One Notebook!
Review of Dell Latitude D505 by
jonoels811201
Advantages: Battery, Mobility, Bluetooth, Wifi.
Disadvantages: On-board graphics.
...I have had my Latitude D505 for over two months, and i am very very happy with the laptop. I wanted a laptop that catered to my demanding needs, and the D505 was it.
My system specs are as follows:-
Intel Pentium-M 1.5GHZ, 512MB DDR Ram, 40GB ATA-100 HDD, CD-Writer/DVD Combo drive(modular), Bluetooth, Wifi(802.11b), 10/100 Network adapter, 56k Modem, S-Video out port, Infra-red, 1x PCMCIA slot, 1394 Port(Firewire), 2x USB 2.0,etc.
I work as a software developer, and the D505 is a perfect notebook for anyone who is in a technical profession, or even those who just demand performance. I would recommend this laptop to ANYBODY!! I have used other laptops( HP, Toshiba and Compaq), and the Dell Latitude D505 is my personal best!!
On the positives, i am very impressed with the performance i got from the primary battery. If you are using...

Everything You Wanted to Know!
Review of Toshiba D-R1 by
jasonmymail
Advantages: Picture/Sound Recording & Playback
Disadvantages: Much the Same as Other DVD Recorders
...decor. The front interestingly slopes forward at the top - cliff-edge style - although looking at it head on you can’t really tell. On the top front edge are the basic function buttons, all duplicated on the remote - On/Off and tray Open/Close being the only ones that anyone is really likely to use barring an absence of the remote.
To be honest I can’t decide whether I’m a fan of the styling or not. It’s a solid chunky machine that feels relatively well made in this day and age of everything-made-in-china. The LED display is green/blue and clear to read. I like the lack of buttons on the fascia and mirrored front giving an uncluttered look but Toshiba have spoiled it by not fitting a cover to the front AV inputs so they’re always on show.
It could be a love it or hate it design, so make sure that you get down to your local retailer...

Toshiba 32Z17B
Review of Toshiba 32Z17B by
alan74
Advantages: Excellent value for money/Great sound and Picture
Disadvantages: Very Heavy & Bulky
.../off timer and of course the remote control. You also get with it a pretty good quality stand, which is Silver in colour, the same as the TV itself.
It is very easy to link all your equipment to the TV, i.e.; Satellite, VCR, DVD, etc. via the back of the TV, it also has phono plugs and AV adaptor at the front of the TV. The TV also has its two main speakers at the front, along with the bass speaker which is situated at the front bottom; it also comes with two surround speakers.
The TV itself now is fairly outdated by the sleek new plasmas, but saying that, for the price it now costs, you do get a lot of TV for your money… its especially ideal for the movie person. These days the cost of this 'Little Monster' would be around £300 - £500, ebay is the place to look i'd guess!

Toshiba...leading us into a world of technology!
Review of Toshiba 42Z3030D by
cobainkurdt
Advantages: WOW...too many!!! Performance A*
Disadvantages: How dare you!
...INTRODUCTION
Toshiba have always been an excellent brand, along with a brilliant product portfolio (diverse range of products.) This product is a real treat: I use it ti watch HD (High Definition) movies, play games on HD ,watch home-movies I have made on my Toshiba Camileo Pro Camcorder and even use it to surf the net sometimes, instead of my Sony KDL.
RANGE OF FEATURES
Features of the Toshiba 42Z3030D (Z series): This product has 3 HDMI inputs, PC connectivity, along with 2 Scarts, Component and Composite video inputs, S-video input (in this day and age it is certainly an excellently designed product with all features of a successful LCD tv.) Synergising this product's frame rate allows this product deemed flawless.( A large problem with many LCD tvs is that they do not possess enough frame rates which causes poor...
