Toshiba.....putting the P in PRO!
Review of Toshiba Camileo Pro camcorder - flash card by
cobainkurdt
Advantages: Everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disadvantages: A clichéd none (but it's true!)
...The product: Toshiba is a well known and excellent brand (and for good reasons too). Toshiba has recently launched a HD (High Definition) camcorder which is very reasonably priced at an average of £149. It is able to record HD videos at a resolution of 1,280x720p (which is excellent in this ever changing technological world). It possesses a 2.5 inch ( 6.35 cm) and even has a swivel screen (which is common in most camcorders nowadays) which can rotate 270 degrees. The product has a very restricted 128 MB internal memory, however this PRO! camcorder supports up to 32 GB (giga bites) memory cards (which is the equivalent to 16 hours of filming).
Advantages and other good features of the product: As above the swivel screen can rotate up to 270 degrees: this, in effect, allows the user to capture problematic views ie (the user can film...

Toshiba Camileo Pro
Review of Toshiba Camileo Pro camcorder - flash card by
arranman
Advantages: Easy to use, small and light, fantastic battery life, great video quality, optical zoom.
Disadvantages: Hopeless sound on recorded clips, barely audible on PC.
...At first glance this Toshiba seems to be the ideal small pocket camcorder, it has many great functions including optical zoom.
The first one I purchased suffered from an intermittent screen and low sound, this was replaced with no fuss and the second Camileo proved to be a lot more reliable, very good quality video recordings can be made and the controls are simple and well laid out for ease of operation.
However the sound is extremely poor on recorded clips. by that I mean almost inaudible, anything more than about six feet from camera will not be heard, even narration from the camera user is extremely low and poor quality, this is a great shame as the camera is superb otherwise, I have borrowed a third Camileo and find that the sound is completely hopeless on it too, seems this is a problem on this range.
I would not advise...

Toshiba...leading us into a world of technology!
Review of Toshiba 42Z3030D by
cobainkurdt
Advantages: WOW...too many!!! Performance A*
Disadvantages: How dare you!
...INTRODUCTION
Toshiba have always been an excellent brand, along with a brilliant product portfolio (diverse range of products.) This product is a real treat: I use it ti watch HD (High Definition) movies, play games on HD ,watch home-movies I have made on my Toshiba Camileo Pro Camcorder and even use it to surf the net sometimes, instead of my Sony KDL.
RANGE OF FEATURES
Features of the Toshiba 42Z3030D (Z series): This product has 3 HDMI inputs, PC connectivity, along with 2 Scarts, Component and Composite video inputs, S-video input (in this day and age it is certainly an excellently designed product with all features of a successful LCD tv.) Synergising this product's frame rate allows this product deemed flawless.( A large problem with many LCD tvs is that they do not possess enough frame rates which causes poor...

Good looking toshiba lcd tv
Review of Toshiba 14VL33 by
oldwasp
Advantages: flat lcd screen, good sound, mounts on wall.
Disadvantages: motion blur watching fast moving objects
...with a dos and don'ts. Getting started tells you what you get in the box what to do when you first switch on the TV. Their is a page that numbers all the parts and tells you what each part is .There are sections for the remote control, auto setup, manual setup, teletext and connecting external equipment like, video recorder, dvd recorder, Satallite, camcorders and computer. If you do have any problems there is a help page and a Toshiba helpline number.
SCREEN
***********
Size 14inches to check this measure diagonally from one corner of the screen to the other corner.
The screen hardly gets any reflections on it due to its flat screen and you can watch it at quite a big angle.
Picture quality is fantastic, colours are life like and sound is very good.
Watching football shows the only fault with this TV when there is fast movement...

Hello Tosh got a Toshiba ( i have)
Review of Toshiba 32 C 3030 D by
king_k_71
Advantages: Value for money, stylish picture quality
Disadvantages: 2 scart connections,sound quality
...We purchased our toshiba 32" lcd tv 6 months ago now and continue to be very pleased with it,one of the main reasons for us purchasing this t.v was we wanted the style, features ie hd ready, size, etc but not having to break the bank, after many trips to currys, dixons, comet etc and checking out almost every tv within our price range £500-£650 we decided that the toshiba ticked all the right boxes, with a sale price of £529.00
It was generally easy to install and if you follow the on-screen menus you cannot really go wrong.
Unfortunataly on the back there are only 2 scart connections a pain when you have a sky+box,a dvd player & seperate vcr,and when the kids want to play their game consoles you have to use the yellow, red & white connections on the side,(we are currently saving for sky hd box which iam hoping will free one of the scarts...

I saved 500 pounds on a camcorder......
Review of go2camcorder.co.uk by
Connoisseur_Haggler
Advantages: cheap prices, upto 60% savings against High Street prices, fast website, EXCELLENT & helpful customer services
Disadvantages: as of 2004 the site doesn't exist! (see update)
...If you are looking to buy the latest camcorders at the very best prices chances are you will find some of the most competitive prices at go2camcorder. I first came across the site go2camcorder.co.uk whilst looking to buy a digital camcorder last month. After searching all other online Electronics sites such as; Comet, Amazon, Empire Direct etc and even unbeatable.co.uk; which despite having the name ‘unbeatable’ are infact easily beatable on price; Go2camcorder came out best on price. Those of you who use product/price search engines such as pricerunner will notice how often go2camcorder consistently comes out as the lowest price for the same electronics product.
go2camcorder.co.uk
Go2camcorder is one of the largest wholesalers of electronic products in Europe. It is also owned by one biggest pure Internet electronics retailers...

Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Review of Toshiba SD340E by
bowdeni
Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder
...DVD was launched commercial over 10 years ago. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player.
So firstly, why Toshiba? Toshiba have an excellant reputation for producing quality products for a great price. There are some manufacturers such as Sony, that in my opinion rely too much on their brand image to sell the good. Toshiba both provide an excellant product, more importantly quality and value. 'What hifi' have for many years ranked Toshiba as the best budget DVD player, and the Toshiba SD340E itself...

Getting movie data from camcorder to computer
Review of Sony Digital8 Camcorder DCR TRV260 by
k5di
Advantages: Digital movie format, good price and good optics
Disadvantages: Super8 tape, USB stream
...This camcorder comes with 2 booklets. Both booklets cover many camcorders. For this reason it's hard to read. The big booklet covers the camcorder and the other the interface from camcorder to computer.
The camcorder comes with a CD-Rom with software for a windows computer, and a special USB cable that one end fits the camera, the other fits the computer USB port.
Installing the software is no problem. The software is a problem. All but a tiny part of the total software has to do with USB streaming video to the computer.
When you follow the instructions provided in the booklet you need to wait quite awhile for the windows wizard to detect your doing something. Then a new hardware wizard comes up and it takes a couple of minutes to find the driver and then complains the driver is not approved by Microsoft. You click Load Anyway...

Disgo camcorder
Review of Disgo Video Plus SD Camcorder by
bostonianbeer
Advantages: Easy to use and price
Disadvantages: none
...This Disgo camcorder is a great little gadget. I saw this camcorder on the TV program 'Something for the Weekend' on BBC1. They described it a fun, cheap and easy to use camcorder.
I have since brought one for myself. I have to say it's defiantly fun, cheap and easy to use!
The camcorder has 60 minutes of recording time, runs on two AA batteries and has its own USB connecter integrated, this connects to any laptop or PC via the USB socket. The camcorder is approximately 15 centimetres tall and 4centimeters wide. Simple buttons and on screen prompts make it simple to use even for technophobes. There is no need to download software as it comes in built to the camcorder. The software itself is extremely straight forward to use. It is a very attractive, stylish product and has a screen that flips out so you can see yourself should...

Toshiba A200 - 195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 Laptop by
JJS77
Advantages: Light, Fast, Looks nice, Reliable, Value.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a built in webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.
...I first started investigating laptops in August as I wanted to take a laptop with me to university. My main requirements was that it was to be fast enough to handle most programs so that it doesn't leave me sitting around waiting to take notes or finish a task as well as remaining portable and more importantly good value for money. I am interested in computers and am doing a computer based course, so I thought I would have to budget form around £600 - £800 for a good performing laptop, as I was going on what my friends had paid for their laptops. I was also aware that after researching a bit on the internet, I found that when you buy a laptop its important that its from a good manufacturer e.g. Acer's apparently are unreliable, Compaq's are slow performing and Sony's tend to be out of most peoples price range. However Toshiba was the one...
