Review of Toshiba SD330E DVD Player
Advantages: multi region feature, excellent audio and video quality
Disadvantages: manual supplied had no english section
...Within the last 2 years I have purchased two other DVD players in the Toshiba range, an SD210E and an SD110E. The range-topping SD330E was purchased for its multi-region capability which is essential if playing DVDs from abroad. A multi-standard (NTSC/PAL) TV is another essential component for a small home cinema system based upon the SD330E. I use a small, 13 inch, Sharp LCD TV which is stacked with a whole range of features including automatic NTSC/PAL switching.
Curiously the SD330E bears very little physical resemblance to its predecessors. It is the same width and depth of its cousins but only two-thirds the height. The most striking difference between the models is in the weight of the SD330E, which, thanks to switch-mode technology used in the design of the power supply, is very light and creates an immediate, first...

Toshiba SD330E
Advantages: 'Toshiba Brand Name' Multi Region capability
Disadvantages: No On Board DTS/Dolby Digital Decoder
...I bought the Toshiba SD330E DVD player 3 Months ago.
My choice, was influenced at the time by the price (£49.99), and, having already owned the lower model Toshiba SD125E.
Advantages of the SD330E:
=
Plays DVD, VCD, Audio CD (inc mp3/ wma format) JPEG's (Photo cd's/dvd's) , as well as DVD-R discs of dvd video format, with no problems.
Multi Region Capable (provided you check where you are buying it from).
Component video outputs, coaxial audio & optical audio outputs. (For those wishing to connect to Home Cinema / Plasma's or LCD
televisions.
Superb Picture Quality, (even when connected with Scart Lead)
I have mine connected to my home cinema system, through the optical out connection, and, well, lets just say, this is how DVD should be observed!!
Disadvantages...

Best budget buy, by far.
Advantages: Too many to list.
Disadvantages: Still looking...
...plugged in my Toshiba SD-330 and had to stop ourselves from watching the whole movie because we were so impressed with the quality of the picture and sound. And that was only using the SCART connection. Following this we swapped from the SCART to the alternative component inputs (which splits the signals being sent from the DVD player to the TV) and even though we didn't think it possible, the picture improved again. It was clean, vibrant and rich, with great blacks (not various shades of dark grey) and beautiful clarity. My friend went and bought one the next day (he now uses the £700 Pioneer in his bedroom).
Appearance:
The size of the unit was also astounding at 22 cm deep, but only 6cm high. How do they fit everything in? Of course there is a choice of colours, black or silver, and since I have the black and my friend has the silver, I...

Toshiba DVD.
Advantages: all the functional features available
Disadvantages: lacks on board memory.
...I will put this that I am a DVD addict because I have up to two DVD players excluding this present Toshiba model well I have no other option than to sell one off to a friend or action at E bay merchants. Well I will say that this is a standard DVD player because it has all the necessary features like MPEG4, DIVX, MPEG and AVI functionality.
From my observation, this DVD player has the capability of playing all uk format and even plays format from abroad. It has wide range of features but as a device that I got new, and as usual with DVD machines, I pray it last long for me because DVD machines are capable of selecting and rejecting disc. It also has the capabilities of 5X zoom picture, which is capable of making the picture 5 times larger than the normal size. Some DVD machines are capable of not playing a home recorded that I once...

Toshiba NB100
Advantages: Nice look, good battery life.
Disadvantages: Too small.
...actually pretty impressive.
Function
The notebook works quite well with wireless internet and doesn't cut off often as I have found with wi-fi on some other laptops.
It also has an impressive battery life, in a recent car journey, I found it lasted about 3 and 3/4 hours, easily enough time for all of the film I was watching as well as some of another.
It is available in two versions, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP Home., but the Linux has 512Mb of RAM and an 80Gb hard disk, the Windows one has 1Gb of RAM and a 120Gb drive. I personally own the windows version, since I know more about the operating system and prefer the high memory levels.
The rest of it's specifications are pretty average for a note book and it runs as such.
Overall
The Toshiba NB100 is great if you're japanese and/or believe things should be made...

Toshiba DVD player only £20
Advantages: All
Disadvantages: Only one scart connection
...What more can you ask for? A great brand DVD player at an eve better price!
These little beautys are now selling online for £20 which is an abolute steal!
The specification is as follows
PAL Progressive Scan
Sound & Power Output
DTS Digital Output
They play all the following types of disc... DVD, DVD+R/RW, DVD -RW, DVD-R, MP3, VCD, CD-R, CD-RW, SVCD, CD, JPEG (JPEG/Image CD), and are even DivX compatible
And on the back they have several connections these are 1 x Component Video Connection, 1 x Co-axial Digital Connection, 2 x Audio Analog Phono Connections, 1 x Composite Video Connection, 1 x RGB Scart Connection.
Having only one scart is a bit annoying but you can get around this if you wire it up correctly to your system :D
The quality of the DVD player is great and I have not had a problem with it in the few months...

TOSHIBA
Advantages: Useful
Disadvantages: There are plenty of better models
...GENERAL INFORMATION
This Toshiba laptop is part of the Equium series.
Key Features
- Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2370
- Genuine Windows® Vista® Premium Edition
- DVD Super Multi drive (Double Layer)
- 1,024 MB | maximum expandability : 2,048 MB | technology : DDR2 RAM (667 MHz)
- 15.4 " WidescreenToshiba TruBrite® XGA TFT (1280 x 800) High Brightness display
Basically the laptop is an average notebook computer for general use. The processor and drive capabilities are nothing special, but admirable for the price that you pay.
OPINION
If you want a computer for anything other than general use this is not the right laptop for you. It doesnt have the capabilities to be anything other than an average computer. It could suit small business ventures that dont necessarily require a high processing speed, but is...

Toshiba DVD player SD370
Advantages: Upscaling ability, picture quality is exceptional - 5 stars
Disadvantages: DVD tray wont like small children poking fingers in!
...What HiFi gave this player 5 star rating commenting that it believed Toshiba had shot itself in the foot by producing such a good player at such a cheap price, even comparing it £200 players.
On this basis alone, I bought one.
Firstly, it is exceptionally slimline, Victoria Beckham would love it. But that aside, do not be put off by the price tag, The finish of this player is good. If you have small children then perhaps the DVD tray is somewhat thin and frail and will not take kindly to heavy handed children or adults, for that matter. This aside, however, the optical result are exceptional. I have to keep smiling when I realise how little this player costs.
The ability to scale up DVD's to 1080i works very well with the colours becoming richer and the definition becoming much more pinsharp - all in a player that costs so little. I...

Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder
...DVD was launched commercial over 10 years ago. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player.
So firstly, why Toshiba? Toshiba have an excellant reputation for producing quality products for a great price. There are some manufacturers such as Sony, that in my opinion rely too much on their brand image to sell the good. Toshiba both provide an excellant product, more importantly quality and value. 'What hifi' have for many years ranked Toshiba as the best budget DVD player, and the Toshiba SD340E itself...
