Toshiba Equium P200-178 Quality!
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-178 - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
kimberley1986
Advantages: Great laptop
Disadvantages: none yet
...I recieved this Laptop as an Early Christmas present from my hubby.
We got this from PC World. I honestly dont know alot about Laptop's but here is my input on it (I will get hubby to write the dimensions, etc).
When I opened the laptop up first off I realised how big the screen was, a 17" TFT Screen. The colour and pixel mode is fab on it. Big enouh to have your moves playing on here and to see the whole picture very clear.
The keyboard is a full keyboard with the same buttons as a normal computer keyboard. The buttons are soft to use and doenst need alot of pressing to make them work, they are in silver colour and look great.
The colour is Black and Silver with blue light up Equium and power indicators on the front of it.
The Laptop comes with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium.
It has a built in 1.3M webcam...

The Toshiba Equium A110-233: Jack of All Trades
Review of Toshiba Equium A110-233 - Core Solo T1350 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
salar15
Advantages: Is more than adequate across the board; very easy to use
Disadvantages: As a result, it is unexceptional in most of its attributes
...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460).
The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute.
The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software...

Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, good, bad and the ugly
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-1ED - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
danielarthur007
Advantages: Ease of portability, HIgh resolution large screen, durable and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Short battery life, Intermittent wireless compatability, Poor speakers, Heavy
...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned.
Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99.
The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life.
Before purchaseing this item I made sure I read up on it and was surprised at exactly what this laptop had to offer, the specs are below:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2310 -1.46 GHz
2GB DDR2-667MHz
120GB Hard Drisk
17" Widescreen TruBrite TFT (1440x900 - 16:10)
DVD Super Multi drive (Double Layer)
Intel GMA X...

Toshiba Equium
Review of Toshiba Equium L350-10L - Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.73 GHz - 17" TFT by

Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Toshiba Equium L20 -198
Review of Toshiba Equium L20-198 - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
pselby
Advantages: Lightweight & compact
Disadvantages: Low battery life, Rubbish sound, Low Ram
...a signal. the L20 is not Bluetooth enabled but works fine after adding a Dongle and downloading the appropriate software. I have had the Laptop now some six months and already I require a new screen which Toshiba have agreed to come and collect and deliver back once repaired this is due to the screen flickering and causing large random colour changes. I would not recommend this laptop to buyers as it doesn't seem as rugged as I thought it would be and would recommend you pay that bit extra and go for a more top end Laptop. I do recommend though the Toshiba Service & support whom when I contacted responded emmediatly....

Good value for money but not perfect
Review of Toshiba Equium A200-15I - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
IzzyS
Advantages: Decent spec. including decent memory, card reader, DVD writer etc., quite light and portable
Disadvantages: See review
...on it and to be totally honest again, with the amount of electricals I have that have decided to stop working (a portable DVD player and MP3 player to name a couple), I could do with the extra money to be entirely frank! also for those seeing this machine being advertised and wanting to know without being scared of being tol too much 'techy talk' in the shops, I thought it would help to do this review and point out where I feel some problems may come from.
Now having done a bit of research on my old laptop the night before I purchased this, I found mention of a potential problem with a graphics card which is used on one of Toshibas other range of laptop's, not the Equium range but the Satellite Pro range I believe, if you have one of the dodgy cards then your lucky if it works after the one year warranty is up and can render the whole machine useless, so...

Great Laptop, Great Price.
Review of Toshiba Equium M50-244 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 14" TFT by
etincelle
Advantages: Compact, Great Value!
Disadvantages: Touchpad can be annoying.
...Unfortunately, the Equium M50-244 wasn't my first choice of laptop - I learned to regret that.
I was given a basic Advent as a gift; it was ok for about a month, then one day simply stopped. No explanation. Since it was a gift, we returned it and ended up with an "upgraded" Advent. No more than a month later - the SAME THING HAPPENED.
When we returned to PC World, the Toshiba Equium was the next step up PRICEWISE, but spec wise, it was a downgrade. HA! I thought that the name Toshiba might offer a better product, thankfully I was right!
However, I prepared myself for a slower computer, one that I would have to watch what I downloaded - would have to be carefu | | |
