...Having used this model of Toshiba for general everyday use and work use for about a year now, I would say it is generally a good reliable laptop for this. Toshiba's are definitely good if you are after reliability and build quality - I have used many different makes of laptop, and not found one that rivals these yet. The L20 carries a pretty average 1.5GHz celeron M processor, which provides enough power for everyday applications and basic gaming, but will struggle with higher end graphics apps and more intensive gaming. The installed 512MB of memory is not really sufficient nowadays, so recommend an upgrade here to at least 1GB. Finally the graphics - ATI Radeon Xpress 200M - reliable enough for most things and good compatibility, however this does eat up a bit of your system memory and never seems to work as well as nVidia chips... ...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... ...I have had my Toshiba laptop for just over 1 year. I wanted a sleek looking laptop which was not too heavy as I often take it with me when working away from home. At just over 2.5kg there are lighter models on the market, but I have no complaints in this area. I am not the most technical minded of people, so this review will be written from my point of view rather than listing the spec of the product. Pros 1GB memory and 80GB hard drive is more than enough for me. There is a lot of music, games and photos stored on the memory and I have never felt the performance was affected. Maybe this is down to the dual core processor, which my husband assures me is better than the bog standard Intel Celeron and the like. ...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460). The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute. The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software... ...a signal. the L20 is not Bluetooth enabled but works fine after adding a Dongle and downloading the appropriate software. I have had the Laptop now some six months and already I require a new screen which Toshiba have agreed to come and collect and deliver back once repaired this is due to the screen flickering and causing large random colour changes. I would not recommend this laptop to buyers as it doesn't seem as rugged as I thought it would be and would recommend you pay that bit extra and go for a more top end Laptop. ...I enjoyed this phone as it works well and has lots of funcionality. My best phone yet! I have never used a phone which offered such a good price to features ration ever and I am glad thta I purchased this phone for the tiny price of £60, wh9ich in my mind was a complete bargain in reality to how much you could pay for a phone these days. ...Well Im using this laptop for 6 months now and I am still satisfies with my purchase. The 15"4 is good enough for me to watch movies although a 17" would be perfect. I think its great that it has a 2 GB memory so I can run Windows Vista as well as XP. The processor is is also enough for normal use with Intels dual core 1.73 GHz. Although the disk is not huge most users are going to be happy with 200 GB. The graphics are by Intel GMA X3100, which are solid, but nothing more, so all you heavy gamers might not choose, because of it. So dont expect this machine to be running Call of Duty 4 or similar games. But you definetly get a great design, with elegant lines and a combination of silver an black. ...Unfortunately, the Equium M50-244 wasn't my first choice of laptop - I learned to regret that. I was given a basic Advent as a gift; it was ok for about a month, then one day simply stopped. No explanation. Since it was a gift, we returned it and ended up with an "upgraded" Advent. No more than a month later - the SAME THING HAPPENED. When we returned to PC World, the Toshiba Equium was the next step up PRICEWISE, but spec wise, it was a downgrade. HA! I thought that the name Toshiba might offer a better product, thankfully I was right! However, I prepared myself for a slower computer, one that I would have to watch what I downloaded - would have to be careful about putting extra software on. I was SO wrong! ...It is obvious that this is the most powerful gaming laptop of Toshiba UK. Toshiba Satellite P100-286 is the replacement of its first gen : P100-347. Both have configuration, P100-286 doesn't have any improvement in hardware. However, updated with a new BIOS and new OS : Windows Vista Home Premium. The OS seems to work fine, sometimes there're still several bugs but they can easily fixed by updating on Microsoft website regularly. Being on the top of the line of Toshiba Gaming laptop, P100-286 comes with a very powerful laptop processor T7200 at 2.0 Ghz, 4Mb L2 Cache and Front Side Bus 667 Mhz. A massive Ram PC of 2Gb will support the processor even better if Bus speed is increased to 667 Mhz to fit with the FSB of T7200. Replacing that pair of Ram with 2x 1Gb PC 5300 would be a good idea.
