...with the special tft monitor cleaner, just put on a cloth and everything comes off and leaves the monitor nice and gleaming! This laptop is very easy to use for any computer whizz or dummy (like me), as it is very easy to get to grips with. It has taken me all of a week to figure out where programmes are and stuff on here, more used to a computer! The ease is just incredable. ...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460). The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute. The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software... ...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned. Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99. The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life. ..., this is why you need the 2GB RAM really! I'd heard from my boss at work that really you need 2GB of RAM for Vista to run very smoothly and it requires a minimum of 1GB, so I can imagine it would run a bit slow without the 2GB. Also you need to have some dedicated graphics memory through a graphics or video card, for Vista to work, which is because Vista utilises alot of video capabilities, with snazzy 3D tiling and stuff... it might be snazzy and look good but im not entirely impressed with it, in terms of it having quite alot of compatability programs and older, previous programs or files that I'd used for ages and liked with no problems before, now don't work with Vista - cheers Microsoft(!). - Vista - With Vista, as I mentioned before you get alot more in the way of graphics and video stuff, one of the main things that people will show... ...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... ...a signal. the L20 is not Bluetooth enabled but works fine after adding a Dongle and downloading the appropriate software. I have had the Laptop now some six months and already I require a new screen which Toshiba have agreed to come and collect and deliver back once repaired this is due to the screen flickering and causing large random colour changes. I would not recommend this laptop to buyers as it doesn't seem as rugged as I thought it would be and would recommend you pay that bit extra and go for a more top end Laptop. I do recommend though the Toshiba Service & support whom when I contacted responded emmediatly.... Read review

...Unfortunately, the Equium M50-244 wasn't my first choice of laptop - I learned to regret that. I was given a basic Advent as a gift; it was ok for about a month, then one day simply stopped. No explanation. Since it was a gift, we returned it and ended up with an "upgraded" Advent. No more than a month later - the SAME THING HAPPENED. When we returned to PC World, the Toshiba Equium was the next step up PRICEWISE, but spec wise, it was a downgrade. HA! I thought that the name Toshiba might offer a better product, thankfully I was right! However, I prepared myself for a slower computer, one that I would have to watch what I downloaded - would have to be careful about putting extra software on. I was SO wrong! From the minute I started up the Equium M50-244 it has been smooth sailing, very quick and it has surprised... Read review

...This is a review on the PQI's USB 2.0 1GB 'Cool Drive' Travelling Disk. This product is very similar to my PQI 128MB Cool Drive Traveling Disk, which I've also reviewed, but with one BIG difference. The 1GB version of this drive holds A LOT more information than the 128MB could ever. Now what does 1GB mean? It's short for 1 GigaByte, which is 1,000 MegaBytes. Actually, the space shows up as 999MB but that's close enough. Now, if you've read my 128MB Cool Drive review, or at least seen the title, you'll know that 128MB stores roughly the equivalent of 88 floppy disks. Now the 1GB Cool Drive stores the equivalent of 694 floppy disks! Impressive, in'it? Now, the 1GB Cool Drive is practically identical to the 128MB Cool Drive. The drive is roughly the size of my thumb, it's metallic blue in colour with clear bits at the bottom and tip... Read review

...It is obvious that this is the most powerful gaming laptop of Toshiba UK. Toshiba Satellite P100-286 is the replacement of its first gen : P100-347. Both have configuration, P100-286 doesn't have any improvement in hardware. However, updated with a new BIOS and new OS : Windows Vista Home Premium. The OS seems to work fine, sometimes there're still several bugs but they can easily fixed by updating on Microsoft website regularly. Being on the top of the line of Toshiba Gaming laptop, P100-286 comes with a very powerful laptop processor T7200 at 2.0 Ghz, 4Mb L2 Cache and Front Side Bus 667 Mhz. A massive Ram PC of 2Gb will support the processor even better if Bus speed is increased to 667 Mhz to fit with the FSB of T7200. Replacing that pair of Ram with 2x 1Gb PC 5300 would be a good idea. ...~~~~ Overview ~~~~ This Toshiba Equium A60 Laptop is actually my girlfriends, but as she does with mine, I often use it to check my e-mails and up to a few months ago do my university work on it (finished now!!). The Laptop is around 2 years old now but still runs perfectly. The specification as you might expect is not the most impressive, but for a middle aged laptop it’s not bad at all (see full spec below). ~~~~ Pros ~~~~ The Laptop is light and of a reasonable size, making it very portable and ideal for on the move working.
