...The Toshiba Satellite Pro A60 laptop is ideal for entry level home users, and possibly students who have some time on their hands to sort stuff out. I wouldn't say it was suitable for the lower end of the business market, as Toshiba seem to be targeting with this product. I could be wrong however, maybe I was just unlucky! I have had mine for 8 months now, after previous satellite old faithful, which I had owned for about 7 years, gave up the ghost in the middle of a project, and I needed a cheap laptop quickly. I was impressed by the blue design which veers away from the boring black/grey you're used to seeing on the budget end notebooks. For the budget it was a toss up between this or a Dell, and in the end I decided to go for the Tosh which wasn't the bottom end of the scale like the Dell was for the same money. Due... Read review

...~~~~ Overview ~~~~ This Toshiba Equium A60 Laptop is actually my girlfriends, but as she does with mine, I often use it to check my e-mails and up to a few months ago do my university work on it (finished now!!). The Laptop is around 2 years old now but still runs perfectly. ...with the special tft monitor cleaner, just put on a cloth and everything comes off and leaves the monitor nice and gleaming! This laptop is very easy to use for any computer whizz or dummy (like me), as it is very easy to get to grips with. It has taken me all of a week to figure out where programmes are and stuff on here, more used to a computer! The ease is just incredable. ...I enjoyed this phone as it works well and has lots of funcionality. My best phone yet! I have never used a phone which offered such a good price to features ration ever and I am glad thta I purchased this phone for the tiny price of £60, wh9ich in my mind was a complete bargain in reality to how much you could pay for a phone these days. ...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460). The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute. The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software... ...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned. Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99. The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life. ...I have no problems with my Equium A60, which is almost two years old now, but the short battery life, about 1.5 hrs maximum, means it isn't really useful as a laptop for long periods. If used on your lap, it also has a tendency to over heat, which shuts it down without warning and was quite scary the first time. I don't know how common a problem this is with modern laptops, though, and a tray or other hard surface eliminates that problem. This model doesn't come with built in Wi-fi, which is, for me, not that big a deal since it does come with PCMCIA slot and 3 x USB2, so could have wi-fi fairly simply. Does have a Matshita DVD multi drive (CD, DVD +/- RW / DVD-RAM) which works quite well but is a bit fussy about brands of media, and comes with sonic record now installed, though it requires an upgrade to burn to DVD... ...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... ...a signal. the L20 is not Bluetooth enabled but works fine after adding a Dongle and downloading the appropriate software. I have had the Laptop now some six months and already I require a new screen which Toshiba have agreed to come and collect and deliver back once repaired this is due to the screen flickering and causing large random colour changes. I would not recommend this laptop to buyers as it doesn't seem as rugged as I thought it would be and would recommend you pay that bit extra and go for a more top end Laptop. I do recommend though the Toshiba Service & support whom when I contacted responded emmediatly.... Read review

.... It was a nice touch, and when I did eventually pick it up it answered my questions with great ease. No searching through page after page of pointless babble, just straight to the point trouble-shooting. If something isn't working, I want to know how to fix it without sifting through paragraphs of worthless information on how a specialist team carried out tests to reduce the risks of it autonomously striving for world domination. If it's cream-crackered then it's not going to do that anyway! On the whole, it did the job I wanted it to at the time, provided excellent value for money and alongside the big, black laptops so common in business its blue and silver looks were quite refreshing and unique.
