Toshiba Satellite Pro L300-12i
Review of Toshiba Equium L300-146 - Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  invincible15

Advantages: Good value for money, 2 GB memory
Disadvantages: Graphics card

...Well Im using this laptop for 6 months now and I am still satisfies with my purchase. The 15"4 is good enough for me to watch movies although a 17" would be perfect. I think its great that it has a 2 GB memory so I can run Windows Vista as well as XP. The processor is is also enough for normal use with Intels dual core 1.73 GHz. Although the disk is not huge most users are going to be happy with 200 GB. The graphics are by Intel GMA X3100, which are solid, but nothing more, so all you heavy gamers might not choose, because of it. So dont expect this machine to be running Call of Duty 4 or similar games. But you definetly get a great design, with elegant lines and a combination of silver an black. Anyways great value for what you get.... Read review

Advantages: Great laptop

...with the special tft monitor cleaner, just put on a cloth and everything comes off and leaves the monitor nice and gleaming! This laptop is very easy to use for any computer whizz or dummy (like me), as it is very easy to get to grips with. It has taken me all of a week to figure out where programmes are and stuff on here, more used to a computer! The ease is just incredable. Here is the specs of it all that is off the Toshiba Website: Processor type : Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2080 clock speed : 1.73 GHz Front Side Bus : 533 MHz 2nd level cache : 1 MB Operating system Genuine Windows® Vista® Home Premium Edition System memory standard : 1,024 (512 + 512) MB maximum expandability : 2,048 MB technology : DDR2 RAM (667 MHz) Hard disk capacity : 160 GB certification : S.M.A.R.T. Toshiba Equium
Review of Toshiba Equium L350-10L - Pentium Dual Core T2370 1.73 GHz - 17" TFT by  gareth81

Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth

...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place... Good value for money but not perfect
Review of Toshiba Equium A200-15I - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  IzzyS

Advantages: Decent spec. including decent memory, card reader, DVD writer etc., quite light and portable
Disadvantages: See review

...for being good multitaskers, so its good to have the computer following suit - we can use that to our advantage, right? ;-) lol! (another note for those that are interested, yes this has a Dual Core processor but yes it isn't one of the best, as you may expect for the price this sells at (c. £500-£550 as of October 2007), its actually a T2080 genuine Intel dual core processor with each of the two mini-processors offering 1.73Ghz, if that helps, but either way its still genuine Intel Dual Core for £500, before I hadn't seen any Dual Core laptops with decent RAM and a good size hard drive for under £600, so its still a good deal in my eyes, even though this is the most budget Dual Core processor Intel provide, or so I believe(?)). Other things I read on the webpage that it comes with, that also made me feel that this would be particularly good... Read review

Toshiba A200-195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 - Core 2 Duo T5300 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  davidjp1990

Advantages: Great Sound, 2GB RAM, Quite Quick, 4 Hours Battery life, looks, Bright Widescreen, WiFi
Disadvantages: Weight...............that's it

...The Toshiba Satellite A200-195. I first saw this product on the comet website, as i was looking for my first laptop to use at home and at school, the price looked good for the specification of the laptop. So what do you get for that price: A Dual Core Processor that runs at 1.73 GHz (like having a 3.46 GHz pentium 4) A huge 2GB of high performance RAM (667 mhz DDR2) A decent 120GB hard drive An integrated DVD-RW A 15.4" Bright Widescreen Excellent WiFi and wired Internet An amazing up to 4 Hours battery life (I have only got upto 3:45 Hours, if you were to run linux you could get it upto 5 hours) Windows Vista Home Premium A very very good sound system The main thing i was looking for was a good battery life. I had a choice of this Toshiba (4 Hours) , an Apple Macbook that cost twice as much (6 Hours), a Sony Vaio almost... Read review

Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, good, bad and the ugly
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-1ED - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 17.1" TFT by  danielarthur007

Advantages: Ease of portability, HIgh resolution large screen, durable and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Short battery life, Intermittent wireless compatability, Poor speakers, Heavy

...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned. Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99. The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life. Before purchaseing this item I made sure I read up on it and was surprised at exactly what this laptop had to offer, the specs are below: Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2310 -1.46 GHz 2GB DDR2-667MHz 120GB Hard Drisk 17" Widescreen TruBrite TFT (1440x900 - 16:10) DVD Super Multi drive (Double Layer) Intel GMA X... Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3515 Edition - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  punk_rocker

Advantages: great all rounder
Disadvantages: games

...I really love this laptop, previously siemens haven't really made good computers or laptops but they are now starting to come out with really good products from their Fujitsu ranges. This is a amilo pro V3515, its looks stylish and is quite compact too. It features Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 GHz processor which runs the 1gb of installed ram like a dream. Also if you use demanding programs and need more ram then this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2gb. This however if quite dear to do and could cost around £50. This laptop has a great 120 GB hard drive to store all your data on, also it runs at 5400 rpm which is rather quick. A criticism to fujitsu would be that this laptop doesn't have a card reader built into it, this is something a lot of people need so i was disappointed to see it didn't contain one. This amilo... fab laptop
Review of Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3515 Edition - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  techno_man_37

Advantages: great speeds
Disadvantages: not alot of extra features

...laptop looks really good, it's a combination of black and silvery white plastic body and this two tone colour makes it look really cool and modern. It features a Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 Ghz processor which runs the 1gb of ram very well, and you'll be surprised at quite how fast this is, maybe its just how fujitsu makes their laptops, but this with only 1gb of ram seems a lot faster than some of the other brands of laptop iv come across which also had 1gb of ram installed. Another good thing about this is that the 1gb of ram can be upgraded to 2gb, however this is quite pricy and will usually cost over £50. However if you do need more ram and a quicker laptop all round then this might be something to think about. This laptop contains what seems to be the bear minimum of hard drive space these days. It has 80 gb which... Read review

Big is Beautiful. Another Triumph for Sony
Review of Sony VAIO FS115Z - Pentium M 740 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  suddenend

Advantages: Unbelievably Clear Screen. Stylish Design. Great Keyboard
Disadvantages: No Floppy Drive. Too Little Memory. Expensive

...by an Intel Pentium M740 1.73Ghz Mobile (Dothan Core) Processor equipped with 2Mb of onboard cache. It sits on an Intel 915PM-based motherboard with a 533MHz bus. While easily fast enough for most applications the M740 does struggle a little with the latest generation games, you will need to sacrifice quite a few of the clever effects to make them run at a useful speed. Being a mobile processor though, means it runs cooler than a desktop equivalent, making it possible to reduce the noise generated by having a cooling fan running constantly. MEMORY Sony supply 512MB of RAM with the FS115Z, which is a tad mean when you consider it has to share up to 128MB of it with the graphics processor. There are two memory slots and both are populated by a 256MB DDR333 PC2700 SO-DIMM. A clever trick this one, from Sony's point of view, as it allows them... Read review
