...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

...I have just bought this laptop and its a bargin I does everything you would need a laptop to do for personel use Memory is also a good size for basic use . The other good reasons for buying this it runs very quickly on and of the internet. It also holds a dvd re-writable drive use for downloading films of the internet on to dvd. You can also copy music via the same drive, Also comew with microsoft windows vista uploaded i personally really like the software compared to windows xp , It has had bad reviews in the past, But i feel microsoft have now soted out the problems they were having with it. It also come with wireless LAN ariel, Headphone socket, Built in Speakers you can also upgrade the battery for extra cost but well worth while, Buy this laptop now for a great bargin with free work or home delivery....

A fairly priced laptop that does the job

Advantages: great for most applications, runs vista well
Disadvantages: poor sound card, frustrating graphics card, not for games

...Toshiba have really expanded their Laptop/ notebook range over the last decade. The Equium series represents an affordable option for those wanting a standard laptop without advanced hardware. The Equium range operates moderately with Vista- although slow down can often be a problem. Even with a couple of Gig of Ram and the dual core processor it can often have short moments of fatigue. Initially problems such as these aren't noticable, but after a year or so- when you have a number applications running in the background- then you realise what a difference higher power machines make. The on-board sound card is certainly nothing to get excited about. If you are into your music then don't expect to blast it out. However, when you use it, you dont feel very comfortable because it feels very cheap. The keyboard is very flimsy and feels like it is about to break every time you type something and the mouse pad and buttons do not respond well. ...I recieved this Laptop as an Early Christmas present from my hubby. We got this from PC World. I honestly dont know alot about Laptop's but here is my input on it (I will get hubby to write the dimensions, etc). When I opened the laptop up first off I realised how big the screen was, a 17" TFT Screen. The colour and pixel mode is fab on it. Big enouh to have your moves playing on here and to see the whole picture very clear. The keyboard is a full keyboard with the same buttons as a normal computer keyboard. Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99. ...Well Im using this laptop for 6 months now and I am still satisfies with my purchase. The 15"4 is good enough for me to watch movies although a 17" would be perfect. I think its great that it has a 2 GB memory so I can run Windows Vista as well as XP. The processor is is also enough for normal use with Intels dual core 1.73 GHz. Although the disk is not huge most users are going to be happy with 200 GB. The graphics are by Intel GMA X3100, which are solid, but nothing more, so all you heavy gamers might not choose, because of it. So dont expect this machine to be running Call of Duty 4 or similar games. But you definetly get a great design, with elegant lines and a combination of silver an black. Anyways great value for what you get....
