Great Laptop, Great Price.
Review of Toshiba Equium M50-244 - Celeron M 360 1.4 GHz - 14" TFT by
etincelle
Advantages: Compact, Great Value!
Disadvantages: Touchpad can be annoying.
...Unfortunately, the Equium M50-244 wasn't my first choice of laptop - I learned to regret that.
I was given a basic Advent as a gift; it was ok for about a month, then one day simply stopped. No explanation. Since it was a gift, we returned it and ended up with an "upgraded" Advent. No more than a month later - the SAME THING HAPPENED.
When we returned to PC World, the Toshiba Equium was the next step up PRICEWISE, but spec wise, it was a downgrade. HA! I thought that the name Toshiba might offer a better product, thankfully I was right!
However, I prepared myself for a slower computer, one that I would have to watch what I downloaded - would have to be careful about putting extra software on.
I was SO wrong!
From the minute I started up the Equium M50-244 it has been smooth sailing, very quick and it has surprised...

Toshiba Equium P200-178 Quality!
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-178 - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
kimberley1986
Advantages: Great laptop
Disadvantages: none yet
...I recieved this Laptop as an Early Christmas present from my hubby.
We got this from PC World. I honestly dont know alot about Laptop's but here is my input on it (I will get hubby to write the dimensions, etc).
When I opened the laptop up first off I realised how big the screen was, a 17" TFT Screen. The colour and pixel mode is fab on it. Big enouh to have your moves playing on here and to see the whole picture very clear.
The keyboard is a full keyboard with the same buttons as a normal computer keyboard. The buttons are soft to use and doenst need alot of pressing to make them work, they are in silver colour and look great.
The colour is Black and Silver with blue light up Equium and power indicators on the front of it.
The Laptop comes with Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium.
It has a built in 1.3M webcam...

The Toshiba Equium A110-233: Jack of All Trades
Review of Toshiba Equium A110-233 - Core Solo T1350 1.86 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
salar15
Advantages: Is more than adequate across the board; very easy to use
Disadvantages: As a result, it is unexceptional in most of its attributes
...The Toshiba Equium A110-233 is a very competent all-purpose computer, coming at a very reasonable price (I purchased mine online at Dixons for round about £460).
The actual model itself looks stylish enough, though it lacks any particularly imaginative design flair. Suffice to say, however, that it isn't an ugly, clunky beast like some laptops to be found on the market. The screen is perfectly serviceable, with adequate resolution to handle the viewing of multimedia, and doesn't fall into the recent trend of laptops of being irritatingly minute.
The processing capability of the hardware is certainly fit for purpose too - unless you plan on using memory-intensive games or image-editing software, it should satisfy your needs; certainly if you intend mostly to utilise Microsoft Office, the internet, and other software...

Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, good, bad and the ugly
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-1ED - Pentium Dual Core T2310 1.46 GHz - 17.1" TFT by
danielarthur007
Advantages: Ease of portability, HIgh resolution large screen, durable and easy to use.
Disadvantages: Short battery life, Intermittent wireless compatability, Poor speakers, Heavy
...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned.
Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99.
The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life.
Before purchaseing this item I made sure I read up on it and was surprised at exactly what this laptop had to offer, the specs are below:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2310 -1.46 GHz
2GB DDR2-667MHz
120GB Hard Drisk
17" Widescreen TruBrite TFT (1440x900 - 16:10)
DVD Super Multi drive (Double Layer)
Intel GMA X...

Advantages: Value For money
Disadvantages: No Bluetooth
...i first bought a Toshiba around about 4 or 5 years ago, it was a toshiba tecra m3, it was a lovely laptop until i dropped it and broke it, i decided that i would replace it with another toshiba because of the previous good reliability i had got from the machine, i thing that attracted me to this laptop was firstly the fact it was an operating system upgrade for me and secondly the superior specifications, the only down side being that there is no integrated bluetooth and trusted security platform, i found that the offers that were available at the time of purchase were very reasonable and i feel i got great value for money, i also think that the designer of this laptop has taken very great care with the general look and feel of the laptop and have put a lot of thought into the hardware they have supplied and it holds pride of place...

Toshiba Equium L20 -198
Review of Toshiba Equium L20-198 - Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz - 15" TFT by
pselby
Advantages: Lightweight & compact
Disadvantages: Low battery life, Rubbish sound, Low Ram
...This Laptop looked good on the shelf in the shop and performs quite well. It came with XP Home edition which I quickly upgraded to Pro and added Office 2003 as I don't like working with Microsoft Works which comes as standard. It has 3 USB2 ports and 2 PCMCIA slots along with the normal headphone, Microphone, External Monitor and of course the power socket. The on board RAM however was advertised as being 521Mb but when I set it up and started to play with it Discovered that the on board Graphics Borrows Some 64Mb of this so I added another 512Mb of Ram only to find that the another 64Mb had been borrowed. This was fine now though but I didn't notice any improvement of the graphics but I'm sure it did something. The L20 is 11g WIFI certified and this works exceptionally well connecting at distances where my previous laptop could not find...

Good value for money but not perfect
Review of Toshiba Equium A200-15I - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
IzzyS
Advantages: Decent spec. including decent memory, card reader, DVD writer etc., quite light and portable
Disadvantages: See review
...... some Windows errors, for instance, are much more well known and common than you might think and fixes can be found fairly quickly, so its always worth checking there.
Thats all I'm aware of though and I would also say its worth mentioning that if your looking for info. specifically about a Toshiba related problem or otherwise post on the Toshiba Europe support forum (and there are forums specifically for this range of laptops, ie the Equium series), don't expect a very quick reply. I've noticed that it can take a few days to get replies there, so if its an urgent problem, try the Tech Guys phone line, that may be quicker...
- Conclusions -
To conclude, as far as the spec. is concerned, this is a very good laptop, expecially for the laptop. It provides plenty of memory and has many handy features such as 4 USB ports, a card reader...

Great Laptop. Great Reliablity. Great Value.
Review of Toshiba Satellite M50-159 - Pentium M 730 1.6 GHz - 14" TFT by
aak108
Advantages: Long battery life, it has so many features and very crispy screen, very robust.
Disadvantages: so far i cant think of any disadvantages because probably it doesnt have any.
...I bought this laptop in November 2005 for £749.99. Before i bought a Acer laptop which let me down a lot by its never ending troubles in laptop so i returned it the same day and got this TOSHIBA SATELLITE M50-159 after arguing with the manager at comet store because he did not want the acer laptop back when he knew that it was faulty so he still kept on arguing with me. Then after agreeing on exchanging with another laptop, I bought this laptop which was great the moment i took it out of the box. And since then, i have had no troubles with it, nt even a tiny problem in the laptop. The reason for no troubles is because its TOSHIBA. A TOP BRAND. The laptop is very fast when surfing on internet, playing games is great too, the battery life is alright because its more than i require, the design of the laptop is great too. I did not need...

Certainly not Lap-Tosh
Review of Toshiba Equium A60-191 - Mobile Pentium 4 532 3.06 GHz - 15" TFT by
kirkby100
Advantages: Light, Good brand, Cheap
Disadvantages: Dire battery life, Overheating
...~~~~ Overview ~~~~
This Toshiba Equium A60 Laptop is actually my girlfriends, but as she does with mine, I often use it to check my e-mails and up to a few months ago do my university work on it (finished now!!). The Laptop is around 2 years old now but still runs perfectly. The specification as you might expect is not the most impressive, but for a middle aged laptop it’s not bad at all (see full spec below).
~~~~ Pros ~~~~
The Laptop is light and of a reasonable size, making it very portable and ideal for on the move working. It will comfortably fit into any standard laptop case/bag with plenty of room to spare for cables, mouse etc.
Toshiba is a leading brand in the computer industry, especially with Laptop and portable computers, with many of their systems such as hard drives and CD/DVD Rom drivers used in other branded...
