...DVD was launched commercial over 10 years ago. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player. So firstly, why Toshiba? Toshiba have an excellant reputation for producing quality products for a great price. There are some manufacturers such as Sony, that in my opinion rely too much on their brand image to sell the good. Toshiba both provide an excellant product, more importantly quality and value. ...it on the laptop feels sturdy and safe and like it will last, which is reassuring as some of the other laptops felt like they would break if you opened it too quickly. I tested the weight of it in the shops and found that it was also lighter than most other laptops. The Toshiba A200 range was also quite a high performance laptop when I was using it. I managed to benchmark the laptops effectively by using the inbuilt feature inside Windows Vista, where it can show you a rating of how well your computer performance, a score out of 10. It is called a windows experience score and is quite comprehensive as it tests the performance of the processor, ram, video / graphics card, hard drive space, and can give a clear breakdown on where the computer is weakest. ...INFO I have been involved with Toshiba laptops for a few years now. First in having one as a work laptop and secondly supporting them for other users. Toshiba have the ability to create a laptop that is rugged enough to withstand daily use whilst being designed well enough to fit the daily use it was intended for. The Portege R200 is no exception and is an exceptional laptop for the business traveller. Once given the go ahead to buy a couple of these I couldn't wait to ditch the Dell equivalents. COST I managed to secure 2 R200 laptops for a mere £1234 each excluding VAT from Inmac. I have however seen one on EBAY last week for £994. Now that's cheap. Advantages: Robust, powerful, functionally superior to the competition. All you could ask for from a tablet pc.
Disadvantages: Can get hot, but nothing to worry about, battery life shorter than with other models (3.5hrs), heavier than the competition making it awkward for the true mobile user.

My evaluation has covered the HP Compaq TC1100, the Motion M1200, the Fujitsu Stylistic ST4120, and the Toshiba Portégé 3500. What follows is a brief discussion of the Toshiba Portege 3500 which I hope will give users some guidance and prove informative. Of all the tablet PC's currently on the market the Toshiba Portégé 3500 has the best performance of all the systems because it uses the Intel Pentium III-M 1.33 GHz processor and a fast hard drive. ...This is a beast. No doubt about it. So, the TV I've got is a 29" non-widescreen, with the full trimmings of Dolby Surround Sound, and a Toshiba VCR to boot. The whole kaboodle comes as a single unit, with the tv sitting atop a sturdy charcoal colored stand which has shelves underneath for the VCR and two other things, such as a sky box and a playstation. The whole thing as a unit looks impressive in its own right. It has that kind of urban techie aura to it but with a bit more beef, this thing really stands tall and proud. Of course, you could lock the TV away in a nice wooden cabinet or something, but I wouldn't want to hide it away I'm proud of my huge ominous box looming in the corner. ..., the 42Z3030D allows itself to use a 5:5 pulldown which eradicates all jerky effects caused by the 3:2 pulldown and all frames are shown for a standard 41.65 ms. Also, the fantastic innovators at Toshiba integrated a 10 bit processor for colour reproduction....basically the colours coincide more freely and more colours can be shown for maximum viewing pleasure! Sound Quality Onkyo merged with Toshiba ( i think only for this product...not a company merge!) to enhance this product even further. Onkyo produced a standard integrated digital tuner with an assurance of superior audio prospects! ( By the way if you do not know...Onkyo is a speaker manufacturer and Toshiba specifically approached them with regards to enhancing audio options...therefore they without a doubt had the consumer in mind whilst manufacturing a product which is sheer...
