Binatone Symphony G10
Review of Binatone SYMP G10 by
dwprices
Advantages: Great little phone
Disadvantages: None at the moment
...Our old cordless phone was not working properly, so started the search for a new one.
The Binatone Symphony G10 digital cordless phone, has all the standard features you would expect from a cordless phone.
This is a digital phone, with a handset, and base. The base is the charger unit, and has a paging facility to the handset..
The handset has a coloured screen, with 4 wallpapers, that are not really that inspiring, and you do not have the option of turning them off. When an incoming call is recieved if you have caller display, the telephone number will be displayed, and if you have the number stored in one of the 200 places in the phone book, the persons name will also display.
The phonebook, can store upto 200 names, and has a place for home, mobile & other phone numbers.
The handset has 40 ringtones, most of which...

Throw away your desktop PC!
Review of Toshiba Qosmio G10-100 - Pentium M 735 1.7 GHz - 17" TFT by
ElBiggus
Advantages: Fantastic screen, feature packed
Disadvantages: Heavy, short battery life
...Although it stretches the definition of "laptop" to the limits of credulity -- this thing is BIG -- in terms of features and performance you're not going to be disappointed.
The first thing that strikes you about this laptop will be the screen -- a massive 17" widescreen (16:10) monster (about the size of an A3 sheet of paper) with fantastic brightness and clarity; the native WXGA resolution (1440 x 900) is enough that you can fit plenty on the screen for serious work, and works perfectly for entertainment purposes. Toshiba's "LCD Overdrive" technology means that even playing fast paced games produces no visible "smearing" that can plague lesser LCD screens.
In the raw power stakes the 1.7GHz P4-M may not be the fastest in terms of clock speed, but the 2MB L2 cache and pipelining optimisations mean that in most cases it performs...

Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Review of Toshiba SD340E by
bowdeni
Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder
...DVD was launched commercial over 10 years ago. The major manufacturers made the mistake of not licensing the technology appropriately and subsequently the cost of DVD players has fallen dramatically within the past 5 years. Some people may find it hard to justify the cost of a DVD player when they can picked up for £30, but I am going to write this review to communicate the advantages of having a medium range quality DVD player.
So firstly, why Toshiba? Toshiba have an excellant reputation for producing quality products for a great price. There are some manufacturers such as Sony, that in my opinion rely too much on their brand image to sell the good. Toshiba both provide an excellant product, more importantly quality and value. 'What hifi' have for many years ranked Toshiba as the best budget DVD player, and the Toshiba SD340E itself...

Toshiba A200 - 195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 Laptop by
JJS77
Advantages: Light, Fast, Looks nice, Reliable, Value.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a built in webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.
...I first started investigating laptops in August as I wanted to take a laptop with me to university. My main requirements was that it was to be fast enough to handle most programs so that it doesn't leave me sitting around waiting to take notes or finish a task as well as remaining portable and more importantly good value for money. I am interested in computers and am doing a computer based course, so I thought I would have to budget form around £600 - £800 for a good performing laptop, as I was going on what my friends had paid for their laptops. I was also aware that after researching a bit on the internet, I found that when you buy a laptop its important that its from a good manufacturer e.g. Acer's apparently are unreliable, Compaq's are slow performing and Sony's tend to be out of most peoples price range. However Toshiba was the one...

Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by
terence638l
Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range
...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers)
Features:
- dual Harman/kardon speakers
- Infrared port
- Wireless lan
- Internal Toshiba software modem
- Dvd-r burner
- Dvd player features (play, stop , etc buttons on the side of the laptop)
- IEEE port

To Infinity and Beyond, Toshiba R200 Laptop
Review of Toshiba Portege R200 - Pentium M 753 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by
skrg28
Advantages: Build Quality, Light, Small
Disadvantages: None as yet
...to the small screen but I have no had any woes there either. Leaving it running for hours on end seems to have no effect, no noisy fans and no excessive heat.
If you dig one of these out in the aiport lounge then your a god.
The one that really got me was the warranty. You get a full 3 year manufacturers warranty with the latop, something you would normally have to pay extra for from other manufacturers. Toshiba suppor is always 2nd to none for laptops. You also get a full set of manuals already installed on the PC along with a variety of backup applications that run on your behalf.

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by
funphobic2
Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated
...I’ve never really been interested in laptops, I’m more of a desktop girl myself, but when moving to university 3 years ago and having to live in a studio flat, my desktop just took up too much space. So I needed a laptop. Unfortunately, I had spent a lot of my loan on clothes and holiday’s (as you do!) so I had to find something on the cheaper side. Luckily I know a little about computers and knew pretty much what I needed; something compact, but with good processing speed and a large hard drive. So I went about my laptop shopping….
***Why I chose Toshiba***
I popped into the Dixons in Watford and they had a couple of ex-display models on sale. I came across a Toshiba satellite 1800-204. I noticed a few people had a Toshiba Satellite notebook, and so it caught my eye immediately. It was made in 1999, and basic specs include...
