...This review is for the Toshiba Satellite Pro m30 Harman Kardon styled laptop.I will not say what I paid as it was a special price and not generally available. I have had this laptop for approx. 9 months. I use this laptop mainly for wireless connection to the WWW from my lounge, I am writing this review on it now. The first things I look for in a laptop or a desktop come to that is how it interfaces with me rather than performance. This laptop is good. The screen is 15".4" and is superb except when outdoors in the sun but then that is to be expected. There is quite a lot of brightness control to suit most people. The characters are clear and crisp, it is not as good as a high quality CRT monitor but that is also to be expected. The keyboard is also good and although I am not a great fan of laptop keyboards I get on well... Read review

...As a university student I felt it was highly recommended to have a laptop that could be taken to uni rather than having to wait till returning home to get work done. This Toshiba Satellite was chosen for the great value for money it appeared to offer, with the manufacturer Toshiba you expect a product that you know will deliver solid performance and this is no different. Easily picked up for just a few hundred pounds it comes equiped with everything you would expect from a top manufacturer, a high quality graphics card which makes it capable of playing many of todays higher end game. Built in wireless compatibilites make connecting to the internet outside the home easy and is easily as good as the sort of laptop that many people would pay hundreds of pounds for just for a few extra numbers in the product information whereas the change... ...Let me make it perfectly clear right up front: I'm not overfond of laptops. They're relatively small, usually have rather fuzzy screens, come with small keyboards that make typing difficult, and have strange built-in mice that are nigh onto impossible to manipulate. Given my durthers, I'll take a full-sized PC any day. Despite all these disclaimers, my purpose here to review the Toshiba Tecra M2 notebook, kindly purchased for me by my company to make me more efficient and productive. Now don't get me wrong. I appreciate the sentiments and the logic of the new laptop, even though I use it far less often than my more powerful, less portable desktop. ...My company's Laptop is Toshiba M40X. I have been used this for 3 years. I am a software engineer so computer is very important to me. This Laptop is very convenient for me. Speed is very high. I can install many kinds of tools in my laptop.They worked well without any problem. My Laptop is quite good. Hardware has been working well without any serious problem. I had only to replace a LCD cable during almost 3 years.It's rather enduring. Advantages: 1)Very bright display 2) Screen is large so 3 people can watch movies together 3) Play CD and DVD together 4) 4 USB Ports --> convenient for software developers 5) Speed is high Disadvatages: 1) DVD speed is slow 2) It is quite heavy ( nearly 3 kg) I am sastified with this device.
