Slim Toshiba DVD player performs well
Review of Toshiba SD340E by  bowdeni

Advantages: Multi Region, Good picture, slim, durable
Disadvantages: No Scart, not a recorder

...could find slimmer DVD players, many will comprimise on picture and sound quality. The Toshiba SD340E is a DVD player that will look asethically pleasing under a TV. I already antiscipated that the Toshiba SD340E would not contain a scart lead and bought a fairly decent £20 one myself. You can pick them up much cheaper, but I would recommend that when using a DVD player the quality of the Toshiba SD340E , I'd suggest spending about the same as me, the difference is apparent. So how does the Toshiba SD340E perform? Very well is the answer, and considerably better than cheaper DVD players. 'What hifi' even suggest that the Toshiba SD340E performs aswell as £200 DVD players, so the quality is assured. The colour is natural, and provides a picture with deep darks and much clarity. Audio wise, the Toshiba SD340E performs just aswell. I have... Read review

Toshiba A200 - 195
Review of Toshiba Satellite A200-195 Laptop by  JJS77

Advantages: Light, Fast, Looks nice, Reliable, Value.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have a built in webcam or Bluetooth connectivity.

...-195 is the laptop I bought in the end, for £530 from comet, I ordered it off the internet to collect at my local store and saved £20 off the in store price, but still got my laptop instantly. I have been using it now for 3 almost 4 months, and I can honestly say I have never been so impressed with a laptop. I thought laptops had problems with battery length's, I thought they were slow, heavy and hard to carry around and fragile. My Toshiba laptop has now become a standard class talking point at my university as it is always commented on the fact that everyone else plugs their laptops in to charge it again after about 1 hour, and they start off with a full charge. Whereas mine I have tapped away on and used it quite heavily i.e. mathematical / engineering modelling programs as well as the host of processor and memory hungry computing programs I use... Toshiba Satellite M30 - Good Lookin Machine
Review of Toshiba Satellite Pro M30 - Pentium M 1.7 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  terence638l

Advantages: Fast, lots of features, easy to use
Disadvantages: Problems with internal modem, infra red port has short range

...The Toshiba satellite m30 pro is a thin and sleek laptop matching the looks and requirements for todays busy and on the move users. It is literally a desktop computer packed into a small, light and easy to use 1.6GHZ, 60 Gb memory HDD and 512 MB RAM machine. I have found it not only easy to use but also fun and hassle free most of the time. (With most problems the occasional usual thing that you get with computers) Features: - dual Harman/kardon speakers - Infrared port - Wireless lan - Internal Toshiba software modem - Dvd-r burner - Dvd player features (play, stop , etc buttons on the side of the laptop) - IEEE port - Serial port to add monitor - Expansion card slot - 3 USB ports - Multiple settings for battery use. Can alter power settings to extend the life of the battery to its maximum approx 8 hours life - Intel... Read review

To Infinity and Beyond, Toshiba R200 Laptop
Review of Toshiba Portege R200 - Pentium M 753 1.2 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  skrg28

Advantages: Build Quality, Light, Small
Disadvantages: None as yet

...INFO I have been involved with Toshiba laptops for a few years now. First in having one as a work laptop and secondly supporting them for other users. Toshiba have the ability to create a laptop that is rugged enough to withstand daily use whilst being designed well enough to fit the daily use it was intended for. The Portege R200 is no exception and is an exceptional laptop for the business traveller. Once given the go ahead to buy a couple of these I couldn't wait to ditch the Dell equivalents. COST I managed to secure 2 R200 laptops for a mere £1234 each excluding VAT from Inmac. I have however seen one on EBAY last week for £994. Now that's cheap. FIRST THOUGHTS When the first R200 arrived I couldn't believe the size of the box. It's so small you would think it had a couple of paperback novels in it and not a PC... Read review

Toss out this Toshiba
Review of Toshiba Satellite 1800-204 - C 1 GHz - 13.3" TFT by  funphobic2

Advantages: Compact, good hard drive space and processing speed
Disadvantages: Its durability, and has become out-dated

...I’ve never really been interested in laptops, I’m more of a desktop girl myself, but when moving to university 3 years ago and having to live in a studio flat, my desktop just took up too much space. So I needed a laptop. Unfortunately, I had spent a lot of my loan on clothes and holiday’s (as you do!) so I had to find something on the cheaper side. Luckily I know a little about computers and knew pretty much what I needed; something compact, but with good processing speed and a large hard drive. So I went about my laptop shopping…. ***Why I chose Toshiba*** I popped into the Dixons in Watford and they had a couple of ex-display models on sale. I came across a Toshiba satellite 1800-204. I noticed a few people had a Toshiba Satellite notebook, and so it caught my eye immediately. It was made in 1999, and basic specs include... Read review

Toshiba Equium P200-178 Quality!
Review of Toshiba Equium P200-178 - Pentium Dual Core T2080 1.73 GHz - 17.1" TFT by  kimberley1986

Advantages: Great laptop
Disadvantages: none yet

...with the special tft monitor cleaner, just put on a cloth and everything comes off and leaves the monitor nice and gleaming! This laptop is very easy to use for any computer whizz or dummy (like me), as it is very easy to get to grips with. It has taken me all of a week to figure out where programmes are and stuff on here, more used to a computer! The ease is just incredable. Here is the specs of it all that is off the Toshiba Website: Processor type : Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T2080 clock speed : 1.73 GHz Front Side Bus : 533 MHz 2nd level cache : 1 MB Operating system Genuine Windows® Vista® Home Premium Edition System memory standard : 1,024 (512 + 512) MB maximum expandability : 2,048 MB technology : DDR2 RAM (667 MHz) Hard disk capacity : 160 GB certification : S.M.A.R.T. Toshiba Portege 3500 - Best of breed, but heavy
Review of Toshiba Portege 3500 - PIII-M 1.33 GHz - 12.1" TFT by  maxmidnight

Advantages: Robust, powerful, functionally superior to the competition. All you could ask for from a tablet pc.
Disadvantages: Can get hot, but nothing to worry about, battery life shorter than with other models (3.5hrs), heavier than the competition making it awkward for the true mobile user.

...to five pound range. The Toshiba includes valuable features such as a three-year warranty, USB 2.0, 60 GB/5,400 rpm hard drive and Compact Flash (CF Type II) and Secure Digital (SD) memory slots. In summary if Toshiba could find a way to make the unit a few ounces lighter, it would be the perfect Tablet PC. Protective casing with straps/handles take away much of this weight issue.... Toshiba 29 inch TV - A Beast
Review of Toshiba 2987DB by  cash40

Advantages: Quality overall piece. Very worthy of it's price tag
Disadvantages: They don't have the name of Sony

...This is a beast. No doubt about it. So, the TV I've got is a 29" non-widescreen, with the full trimmings of Dolby Surround Sound, and a Toshiba VCR to boot. The whole kaboodle comes as a single unit, with the tv sitting atop a sturdy charcoal colored stand which has shelves underneath for the VCR and two other things, such as a sky box and a playstation. The whole thing as a unit looks impressive in its own right. It has that kind of urban techie aura to it but with a bit more beef, this thing really stands tall and proud. Of course, you could lock the TV away in a nice wooden cabinet or something, but I wouldn't want to hide it away I'm proud of my huge ominous box looming in the corner. Of course, a powerful design is all well and good, but it would be handy if I told you about the wonders that lie beneath. The TV... Read review

Toshiba...leading us into a world of technology!
Review of Toshiba 42Z3030D by  cobainkurdt

Advantages: WOW...too many!!! Performance A*
Disadvantages: How dare you!

...INTRODUCTION Toshiba have always been an excellent brand, along with a brilliant product portfolio (diverse range of products.) This product is a real treat: I use it ti watch HD (High Definition) movies, play games on HD ,watch home-movies I have made on my Toshiba Camileo Pro Camcorder and even use it to surf the net sometimes, instead of my Sony KDL. RANGE OF FEATURES Features of the Toshiba 42Z3030D (Z series): This product has 3 HDMI inputs, PC connectivity, along with 2 Scarts, Component and Composite video inputs, S-video input (in this day and age it is certainly an excellently designed product with all features of a successful LCD tv.) Synergising this product's frame rate allows this product deemed flawless.( A large problem with many LCD tvs is that they do not possess enough frame rates which causes poor... Read review

Toshiba have come a long way!
Review of Toshiba Satellite P10-873 - Mobile Pentium 4 538 2.8 GHz - 15.4" TFT by  Forillian

Advantages: Large screen with vivid colours, large capacity hard disk and processing speed
Disadvantages: A little heavy. Windows OS pre-installed, so no Windows disc included for emergencies

...I owned a Toshiba Tecra some years ago when they first came out. It was small, heavy and slow with many annoying features. I only used it for a few months then, in frustration, traded it in for a Samsung, which I cherished thereafter. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end... After 3 years of use and many overseas visits, my Samsung finally packed in. So the hunt was on for a viable replacement. I'm one of those people who cram as many programs as possible onto their computers together with a huge amount of data, so the specs of the replacement machine were very important. Of course I immediately thought of Samsung, but was really depressed to find that the specs hadn't changed much over the years - it seemed I'd just hit it lucky before. I also felt that, probably due to its success in the UK, Samsung had become overpriced... Read review
