...The Toshiba Equium P200-1ED, is probably one of the best laptops which I have owned. Managed to get a great bargain at PC World (part of DSG International plc), laptop, laptop bag, anti-virus software, microsoft office 2007, wireless router and wireless printer for just £499.99. The laptop was well packaged, and includes the various accesories for power supply e.t.c. First set up took a while as I installed the various features. A bit of patience is worth it as the machine eventually springs to life. ...with the special tft monitor cleaner, just put on a cloth and everything comes off and leaves the monitor nice and gleaming! This laptop is very easy to use for any computer whizz or dummy (like me), as it is very easy to get to grips with. It has taken me all of a week to figure out where programmes are and stuff on here, more used to a computer! The ease is just incredable. ...through the VGA or HDMI, and gives multiple options once one is connected. There is a HD-DVD drive built in because Toshiba was a company responsible for creating these disks, but they did not take off and a Blu-Ray drive would have been a better option. But it still works in all the normal ways that a DVD-ROM driver would and plays all DVDs and CDs. There is a dual core processor located inside which helps to run the Vista operating system, but at times it is very slow. This is generally the case when there are multiple windows open. But saying this, it can handle most tasks very easily and quickly e.g. opening and using Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. The overall design of the laptop I would say is very good. With the addition of Harman/Lardon speakers it means that it has excellent sound quality when playing music, videos, etc... Read review

...Yesterday was a busy day, I received a visit from a nice guy from IT who set up a remote log in to the works IT network for me and delivered a laptop for my work use. I was expecting a battered second hand Dell but what I have is way past any expectations. I have this gorgeous Toshiba whose capabilities totally outclass any needs I have. At my stuttering screeching request of “has this come out of my budget” I was informed that, no, it had been ordered by some other manager who had left before even receiving it and had been surplus to requirements. Well every cloud has a silver lining and it will be a splendid addition to my unit when im able to get back to work ,and much as I would like to discuss the NHS and its superb ability to let staff waste its money I’ll restrain myself and get down to the details. ...After reading several reviews on compact digital cameras I decided to upgrade my old kodak and opted for the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P200. This model comes in a black version which is priced higher than the silver version but comes with an additional battery, sony case and memory stick case. The camera has all the features of the normal P200 and the overiding factor which made me chose this model was the battery life. Having had a digital camera now for over 5 years I have found that their biggest downfall is the battery life. My KODAK DX 3600 would only generally last for around 30 -40 shots before the battery warning light would come on. This would necessitate carrying copious amounts of spare batteries along and would often need changing at that crucial moment that you really wanted to capture. ...Hi, I got this laptop December 2007 for around £499, which I think is a good deal. You can find the specification on Toshiba site at http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/jsp/productPage.d o?service=UK&PRODUCTID=138220 My Story I opened the box, got everything out, read the manual, pressed the power button on the laptop. It started installing Windows Vista Home Premium. After less than an hour, the installation was complete, ready to use. I had to set-up the wireless settings, which didn't take more than five minutes, as I already have a bit of experience from my other laptop, and was up and running in about an hour. Windows Vista got a utility called Windows Experience Index (WEI) that measures few hardware performances. My WEI was (and still is) 3.2 which is not bad, as Vista runs OK for me... Read review
